00:15Protesters have repeatedly blocked an Edinburgh street to demand action after an 80-year-old woman was struck by a car.
00:21Around 30 demonstrators gathered at the junction of Ashley Terrace and Harrison Gardens on Wednesday night,
00:26and they said the council had promised to take action almost three years ago, but nothing had been done.
00:32The protest was sparked by an incident which saw an 80-year-old woman was struck by a black BMW and sent to hospital Monday last week.

01:24West Lothian Council was first alerted to a ransomware attack targeting its education network at around 7am on Tuesday, May 6th.
01:32It has understood all West Lothian schools, 68 primary, 13 secondary and 5 special needs schools, are affected.
01:39A council spokesperson said we are continuing to work to mitigate the impact, and it remains a live criminal investigation.
01:46Police-advised inquiries are at an early stage.
