00:16as officials warned budget pressures were straining the city's finances.
00:20A report to councillors said that the national insurance hike

00:50A delivery rider was allegedly robbed by a balaclava-clad gang
00:53while out delivering food in Edinburgh.
00:55The rider was cycling through Leith Links at around 7pm on Saturday, February 1st
00:59when he was stopped by a gang of youths
01:01who reportedly forced him to hand over his food parcels.

01:09Appeal after woman seriously assaulted in Midlothian.
01:12Police in Midlothian are appealing for information
01:15after a 26-year-old woman was seriously assaulted in Mayfield
01:18at around 10pm on Thursday, January 30.
01:22Police received reports of a disturbance on Bogwood Road in Mayfield.
01:25The victim was found injured and taken to hospital
01:28where she was treated for a serious injury.
01:30Detective Constable John Lumsden said
01:33We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time
01:36and witnessed the assault to contact Police Scotland
01:39quoting incident number 3755 of 30 January 2025.
