00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Steve Houston Betts and today I'm going out onto the streets of Manchester to ask people about Eurovision which is coming up very very soon.
00:08Now for some people it's a massive source of excitement but for others it's one of sort of disappointment because we never seem to do that well with the exception of Sam Ryder a few years ago.
00:16We want to know why people think that we tend to struggle at Eurovision and whether they're looking forward to it.
00:20My knowledge is quite like small in terms of what the Eurovision, I don't watch it religiously or anything like that.
00:27But what I can understand from it is I don't feel the music represents the UK or England however within the Eurovision.
00:35You know it's not like an oasis on stage, it's you know, although Sam Ryder was pretty good I did enjoy his work.
00:43Yeah I don't really feel any connection to any of the people that ever enter, they're never anyone I know and I get that point we raise up new talent but I guess that I just kind of disengage from it
00:54and maybe that's why we do so badly is that we're not really putting our heart into it.
00:58See that!
