00:00Baltimore has the second-worst mark in the American League at 13-22.
00:06Hoping to avoid a sweep against Minnesota today in the Twin Cities.
00:11It's our first game of the day a little bit after 1.10 p.m. Eastern time.
00:15As you see there, DRS, the odds maker is not expecting the O's to avoid the sweep.
00:19In fact, line even working more to the Twins.
00:22It's minus 152, that money line price as of the moment.
00:25Eight and a half is the total.
00:27What's the issue with the Orioles right now?
00:29I don't know.
00:30Well, I liked him last night, too, on an alternate team total of three and a half at minus 155.
00:34Only scored two runs.
00:35Embarrassing effort against Woods Richardson.
00:37And quite frankly, the bats actually came out from Minnesota and not Baltimore yesterday.
00:41Let's take a look at the pitching matchups as follows today for these two teams.
00:44Bailey Ober will be on the mound.
00:45The home starter, 38 and two-thirds innings pitched on this season.
00:483.72 ERA, a 4.17 XFIP number.
00:52But then you go around to Dean Kramer, one of those guys I usually love to fade.
00:5537 and two-thirds innings pitched on the season.
00:57How about a 5.73 ERA?
01:00A 4.86 XFIP number.
01:02That gets you into the danger territory.
01:04So take a look at some of the lineups of how they present themselves, particularly going with the Minnesota Twins, who won last night up against Dean Kramer.
01:09Kramer's really struggled with left-handed batters.
01:12To the tune of 102 that he's faced, how about a 237 weighted on base, excuse me, 237 ISO, and a 378 weighted on base percentage.
01:18You look at the first four guys in that lineup, Buxton, Larnak, Lee, and France.
01:23Two lefties and two righties.
01:24High weighted on base percentages.
01:26And outside of Buxton, very low K rates.
01:28Should be able to maybe get some things on the board going for them.
01:31On the opposite side, going against Ober, he struggles against right-handed batters.
01:34But also, the lineup always looks good, Ben, on a day-to-day basis with the Baltimore Orioles.
01:38Same way yesterday.
01:39Like, just looking against them with right-handed pitchers, which Simeon Woods-Richardson was yesterday, and they couldn't crack them.
01:44Mullins, Henderson, Rutschman, O'Hearn.
01:46All sky-high weighted on base percentages, the ISO power numbers, where you want to jump back in.
01:50But say, something is just wrong at this point now.
01:53All these statistics built on, like, the first two weeks of the season and just dead in the water the last week and a half.
01:57They should be able to hit Ober today, but it's also, can you bet them and trust them, though?
