00:00Can you tell me a bit about what you're wearing tonight?
00:02Yes, I'm wearing Manish Malhotra. He's an amazing designer from India.
00:06And we got to, across the globe, figure out this look and make it all happen.
00:10So I'm really, really excited that it worked out.
00:13And this is an amazing night. I'm excited to be here.
00:15And what does dandyism and this theme tonight mean to you and how it relates to what you're wearing?
00:19Dandyism to me is self-respect and self-love.
00:22It's paying attention to the details.
00:24It's spending on yourself and investing in yourself and your appearance because you're worth it, you know?
00:28I think sometimes in black culture we're taught to not spend on ourselves,
00:32to not lift ourselves up and to just keep it pushing and be humble.
00:36But I think we should big up ourselves because why not?
00:38And who are some of your icons and fashion icons specifically that mean that to you?
00:42I would definitely say Tiana Taylor. I just saw her.
00:44And she's always so fearless.
00:46And she's not afraid for people to have any type of comments about her.
00:49She knows who she is and that's represented in her fashion. It's so inspiring.
