00:00Meanwhile, the Department of Labor and Employment officially launched today
00:04the Trabaho Para Sabayan Plan 2025-2034,
00:09a comprehensive roadmap aimed at tackling key issues in the labor market,
00:14including unemployment, underemployment, youth unemployment,
00:18and the employability of senior high school graduates.
00:22The plan will serve as the country's master strategy for job creation and sustained economic growth.
00:28It adopts a whole-of-nation approach involving various labor organizations,
00:33the private sector, informal workers, vulnerable groups,
00:38and relevant government agencies through the Trabaho Para Sabayan Interagency Council.
00:45The council has been tasked with formulating and implementing the plan
00:49which seeks to align national efforts towards inclusive and sustainable employment opportunities.
00:56The launch follows the signing of Republic Act No. 11962
01:01or the Trabaho Para Sabayan Act by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on September 27, 2023.
