00:00Now, Everton's season has been far from smooth, but several key players have stepped up to deliver in key moments.
00:09At the heart of Everton's resilience has been James Tarkovsky, whose composure and defensive maturity have caught the eye.
00:18Jordan Pickford has remained a reliable presence in goal, proving leadership and key saves when it mattered most.
00:25In midfield, Adrissa Garnaguet has been a driving force, breaking up play, controlling tempo and setting the tone in tough games.
00:33With a solid core in place and Moyes bringing structure and discipline as a strong platform for Everton to build on going into the summer.
00:42We spoke to Will Rooney of Liverpool World to highlight the standout performers under David Moyes, who returned to steady the ship at Goodison.
00:49And just on Everton and the player of the season, now across the campaign, there's been a fair few standouts.
00:57There's been some defensive solidity as well since David Moyes, those first few games that he came in.
01:04In terms of the changes under Moyes, I know obviously it's difficult with a managerial change halfway through the season.
01:10But has there been players who've maybe stood out through both spells under Deitch and then Moyes as well?
01:16Or maybe it's a player who's come alive under David Moyes since he came in?
01:21Who stands out in terms of Everton's possible Player of the Season award?
01:25I think you've got three. I think you've got Jordan Pickford, who's won it for the last three years.
01:30Again, he's been exceptional between the posts.
01:32But he's proven why he's England number one.
01:37He's just a pillar of solidity, someone you can rely on week in, week out.
01:44Idrissa Garnagay in the middle, to be discussed before.
01:48Unbelievable.
01:49Having his best season since he returned to Everton, without a doubt.
01:53And Illumina Dias has enjoyed a really good campaign.
01:56He's had a little bit of a dip of late.
01:58Had to come back from injury.
01:59Maybe, but that's probably maybe he's just come back a little bit too quickly.
02:04But he has been sensational for Everton.
02:08On the left wing, he's been electric.
02:11He's a player who gets Everton forward, can beat defenders, can score goals.
02:16The only thing he maybe has to do now is add a few assists to his game.
02:19Because I don't think he's got one since he arrived at Everton.
02:22So that's something he needs to work on.
02:25You're looking at those three.
02:26Gerard Bramfwaite missed the start of the season.
02:32Then took a little bit of time to get up to speed.
02:34He's been superb for the last few months.
02:36But maybe that just rules him out of the question.
02:40James Tarkowski was carrying an injury in the first few months.
02:43And wasn't the standards that we all expect him to be.
02:48And since David Moyes arrived, Jake O'Brien's been excellent at right back.
02:54But yeah, three you're probably looking at between Pickford's gay and Indy.
02:57I'd say if it was going to put me...
03:01I think Pickford might edge it again in terms of the play of the season.
03:05But Garnet Gay is definitely giving him a run for his money.
03:07And just on Pickford, how do you think he continues to actually produce these standards, these incredible shows?
03:15Obviously, it's been no secret that Everton have struggled around the relegation zone for the last few years.
03:21But he still maintains that incredible form.
03:23He's still always so consistent throughout the entire campaign.
03:28And then he takes that on to international duty as well.
03:30Yeah, I think he's just settled, to be honest with you.
03:35I think he's quite disgusted he's seen psychologists, et cetera, in the past.
03:40And I think he enjoys being at Everton.
03:43I think he's settled in his home life.
03:45He's just had another baby.
03:47Settles where he's living.
03:49Settles at the club.
03:50Knows the club.
03:51He's a big figure of the club.
03:53And that helps.
03:57That helps him a lot.
03:58Well, there have been mistakes in the past.
04:01But off the top of my head, I couldn't remember too many mistakes this season, to be honest.
04:06I'm sure there are one or two.
04:08But every time someone says, oh, a new contender for England number one, he's battered that away again.
04:17I mean, next season, if you look on a Burnley in the Premier League, maybe it'll be James Trafford next.
04:21Two people are saying, well, maybe he should be England's number one.
04:24But for what he gives for the club and country, he's absolutely excellent.
04:28You know, the passion and the desire he shows to win.
04:33He's right up there in terms of Everton goalkeepers.
04:36I think many would agree only Neville Southall is better in terms of what they've done for a club.
04:41He's got an old one.
04:53He's got an old young man.
04:54He's got an old young man.
04:56He's got an old young man.
04:57Don't get into it.
05:00I think always, you know, how he shall just wash your hands together.
05:04People who look at it.
05:06People who look at it, even if they want to get married.
