00:00And just on Everton and the player of the season.
00:03Now, across the campaign, there's been a fair few standouts.
00:06There's been some defensive solidity as well since David Moyes,
00:10those first few games that he came in.
00:13In terms of the changes under Moyes,
00:15I know obviously it's difficult with a managerial change
00:18halfway through the season.
00:19But has there been players who've maybe stood out
00:22through both spells under Deitch and then Moyes as well?
00:25Or maybe it's a player who's come alive under David Moyes
00:29since he came in.
00:30Who stands out in terms of Everton's possible player of the season award?
00:34I think you've got three.
00:36I think you've got Jordan Pickford,
00:37who's won it for the last three years.
00:39Again, he's been exceptional between the posts.
00:42He's proven why he's England number one.
00:46He's just a pillar of solidity,
00:49someone you can rely on week in, week out.
00:53Adrissa Garnagay in the middle, to be discussed before.
00:57Unbelievable.
00:57Having his best season since he returned for Everton,
01:01without a doubt.
01:02And Illumina and Dias has enjoyed a really good campaign.
01:05He's had a little bit of a dip of late.
01:07Has come back from injury.
01:09But that's probably maybe he's just come back a little bit too quickly.
01:13But he has been sensational for Everton.
01:17On the left wing, he's been electric.
01:20He's got a player who gets Everton forward,
01:22can beat defenders, can score goals.
01:25The only thing he maybe has to do now is add a few assists to his game,
01:28because I don't think he's got one since he arrived at Everton.
01:31So that's something he needs to work on.
01:34You're looking at those three.
01:35Gerard Bramfwaite missed the start of the season.
01:41Then took a little bit of time to get up to speed.
01:43He's been superb for the last few months,
01:45but maybe that just rules him out of the question.
01:49James Tarkowski was carrying an injury in the first few months,
01:52and wasn't the standards that we all expect him to be.
01:58And since David Moyes arrived, Jake O'Brien's been excellent at right back.
02:03But yeah, the three are probably looking at between Pickford's Gay and Indy.
02:06I'd say if it was going to put me,
02:10I think Pickford might edge it again in terms of the play of the season.
02:14But Garnagay has definitely given him a run for his money.
02:17And just on Pickford, how do you think he continues to actually produce these standards,
02:22these incredible shows?
02:24Obviously, it's been no secret that Everton have struggled around the relegation zone
02:29for the last few years, but he still maintains that incredible form.
02:32He's still always so, so consistent throughout the entire campaign.
02:37And then he takes that on to international duty as well.
02:41Yeah, I think he's just settled, to be honest with you.
02:44I think he's quite disgusted, he's seen psychologists, et cetera, in the past.
02:49And I think he enjoys being at Everton.
02:52I think he's settled in his home life.
02:54He's just had another baby, settled where he's living,
02:58settled at the club, knows the club, is a big figure of the club.
03:02And that helps.
03:06That helps him a lot.
03:08There have been mistakes in the past,
03:10but off the top of my head, I couldn't remember too many mistakes this season,
03:15to be honest.
03:15I'm sure there are one or two,
03:16but what goalkeeper goes through a season without making another?
03:20He'd probably be the best goalkeeper in the world if he wouldn't.
03:24Every time someone says,
03:27oh, a new contender for England number one,
03:30he's battered that away again.
03:33I mean, next season, if you look on a Burnley in the Premier League,
03:35maybe it'll be James Trafford next.
03:37Two people are saying, well, maybe he should be England's number one.
03:40But for what he gives both club and country,
03:43he's absolutely excellent.
03:45You know, the passion and the desire he shows to win.
03:49He's right up there in terms of Everton goalkeepers.
03:52I think many would agree only Neville Southall
03:54is better in terms of what they've done for the club.
03:58blow,
04:08you know,
04:10and then the desire he's done for the club.
04:14He needs to be stabilised.
