Riggs | Fore Play
Transcript
00:00Okay, welcome back to Greyhawk Golf Club, the Talon course. We're on the front nine here.
00:04Greyhawk's, of course, kind of in my backyard. I can sneak out there in the afternoons, mess around, film a little bit.
00:09So here we are. We're back. We've got a good mix. We're going to play 5, 6, and 7 on the Talon course.
00:14Fifth hole is like the number 17 handicap. Sixth hole is the number 1 handicap.
00:18And the seventh hole is around the number 11 handicap. So a good mix.
00:21156 yards, this back right pin. I generally tend to draw the ball with my iron.
00:24It's not the easiest shot for me. I've got an 8 iron here. Good strike. Hit it pretty well.
00:28Started a little left. Stayed a little left. We got a long putt, but we are safely aboard the dance floor.
00:33Flag putting never really made a big strength of mine, but we left it below the hole.
00:37Not a terrible effort. Not a great effort. This is one that, if you have any idea what you're doing, you should be able to make it.
00:42And we did. Port it right in there so we are even par through one.
00:46Coming up to the number 1 handicap hole. This is a tough one. I got the mini driver, the new R7, because I just love the thing.
00:51I think it's awesome. It's fun. This is a very wide fairway.
00:53But when I hit this thing well, I can hit it maybe farther than my driver because I just hit this penetrating shot.
00:58This one was hit fine. You know, not the best I've ever hit it, but totally fine.
01:01It's in kind of the right center of the fairway.
01:03This one was a little into the wind, so very long hole, 460 or so.
01:08And we had about 201 yards into this front pin.
01:12I got a 4 iron. Just come up short a lot on this hole.
01:14So 4 iron and I absolutely flushed this thing. Absolutely flushed it.
01:18So I'm kind of yelling at it to sit. Ended up on the backside of the green.
01:21Might have flushed it because the one protein, you know.
01:2418 grams of protein, only 3 grams of sugar. Pure, delicious taste.
01:29You should really try these. They are the primo golf course snack.
01:32You throw them in the cooler here. That's like a little life hack, little tip.
01:35Throw them in the cooler so they stay cold.
01:37They don't melt out there. If you've got a hot day like we're getting in Arizona right now,
01:40take them out, open it up, and it's going to be an ideal golf course snack to power you through.
01:44Got another long lag putt here down the hill.
01:46Actually hit this one great.
01:47You never really know what your speed's going to be like on a putt of this length,
01:51but excellent, excellent effort.
01:52Kind of thought I might go in there for a second, so we're even through two.
01:55Now we come to the seventh, which, you know, if you hit a good tee shot,
01:58it's not an overly difficult hole, but a little bit narrow.
02:01There's trees up the right. There's like a little wash up the left.
02:04And when you hit kind of a pulley, hooky thing,
02:06probably not going to stop until it hits something bad.
02:08So that's exactly what happened.
02:10Luckily, we got an option to get some kind of club on it, so chip this thing out.
02:13Still had this back left pin, you know, nearly 170 yards.
02:17So I got a 7-iron on a little down slope here.
02:20Science says it's going to come out to the right.
02:22It actually did.
02:23Never does that, but actually did this time.
02:25And got a decent kick, so it hung up just on the fringe.
02:28Got up there, tried another one protein bite, which was delicious as always.
02:31A nice little chip here up the hill.
02:33Just kind of bumped and ran it.
02:35And then this is a little tap-in for a bogey.
02:37One over through three.
02:38Just another delightful day out at the Greyhawk Golf Club's Talon Course.
02:41Filled with deliciousness with the one protein bars.
02:44They're so good.
02:45Make sure you try them.
02:50FUUUUUCK!
