00:00I can probably take this, but Sonny Currie, is there any more progress going on with his contract?
00:04I'm sure we'll find out, probably in the middle of next week.
00:08It can't go on and on. We've made him a handsome offer.
00:12The rest is now in his hands.
00:15How important is it to keep someone who the club bought in non-league,
00:18they've seen him grow over the year and obviously played his best football over the year?
00:21Yeah, but listen, Bosman's out there, there's 250 on my desk already.
00:26That's what the rule is, we have to understand it.
00:30It's not great, but we've done our best.
00:34The club has done our best with him.
00:37We all want him to stay, that's pretty obvious.
00:41The rest is up to him.
00:43He's probably the stand-up player that's cornering leaps and bound under yourself.
00:46Is that the sort of double-edged sword that you've made him better?
00:49No, no, no.
00:50Look, players make themselves better.
00:53They've got to get to an edge where all I can help them with is physically and mentally maybe.
00:58You know, they're players.
01:00If I can help them physically and mentally,
01:03but certainly Sonny over the last three months has been, for me,
01:07a stand-up player and we've made him a fantastic offer.
01:11Let's hope he stays.
01:12Hopefully it's not the end because no-one's ended the career at a club injured on the sideline.
01:16No, it's frustrating that and all that he's got a little medial ligament,
01:20which has kept him up the last two, three games.
01:23And he unfortunately will miss Saturday too.
