00:21and me and the band guys were just having a blast up there.

00:26And I got to say, like, country is obviously a genre
00:28that's known for the guitar, having a good time.

00:32Like, how is that to go up there and, like,
00:34give that vibe to the crowd?
00:36Yeah, dude, I mean, I grew up playing the piano.
00:38I started playing when I was, like, 10 or 11 years old,
00:41and I'm all self-taught.
00:42So any time I get to sit there and play the piano,
00:44I'm going to take it, you know, any chance I get.
00:47And, you know, it's just I feel like I sit out at the piano
00:51and the whole world just disappears, you know,
00:53and that's what happened yesterday on stage.
00:55It was just me and me and the boys hanging out, jamming out,
00:58you know, it was a good time.
00:59And I got to be honest, Millennial, obviously,
01:02like, the Gavin DeGraw cover, dude, like, so good.
01:06Why did you choose that song?
01:07Dude, we didn't even, okay, so that whole cover set.
01:10So we do Gavin DeGraw, and then we do, oh, shoot,
01:15Keep Your Hands to Yourself, Georgia Satellites.

01:19And then we do a Hank Williams song.
01:23And then, dude, the way that all transpired and, dude,
01:27we were just hanging out and we're like,
01:29what cover should we do this year on tour and stuff like that?
01:32And we're just listening to songs and playing songs and jamming out.
01:36We're like, oh, dude, this feels great,
01:37so let's just do it on the road.
01:38And that's exactly what you saw yesterday.
01:40It was a fun time.
01:41Yeah, I love that.
01:42My album came out yesterday, my debut album.
01:44It's been great, man.
01:45I feel like I'm on cloud nine right now.
01:47You know, this is probably the best weekend of my life so far.

01:54I think it is, honestly.
01:56There's just so many highs this weekend,
01:58and I'm feeling all the love from all the people,
02:01and my people are all together this weekend,
02:03and you can't really beat it.
02:05I've got to be honest with you.
02:07You were really vulnerable on this album, obviously.
02:10And even me, I had an absentee father.
02:12That's something that you talked about.
02:14So how does it feel for you to say something that's deep to you,
02:17that's personal to you,
02:18but then see your fans resonate with that as well?
02:22It was tough, honestly.
02:25You know, that was probably one of the hardest songs
02:27I've ever been a part of,
02:28but one of the easiest because it just fell out.
02:30It's you.
02:31It's me.
02:32And, you know, I was skeptical about even naming the album
02:36What Not Too and all that stuff,
02:39and it was just a very vulnerable moment,
02:41and I don't really talk about things all that often,
02:43but that's why I write songs,
02:45so I don't really have to talk about things.
02:46And, you know, it's the feedback that I've got from it,
02:50and I've been playing it live a couple times,
02:52and it's heartwarming.
02:54How is that?
02:55I've got to be honest with you.
02:56Like, to write a song like that
02:58and then, like, perform it in front of a crowd multiple times,
03:01like, does that have an emotional effect on you?
03:04It does.
03:04I mean, every time I play it, it's very emotional,
03:08and just one of those songs that hits you in the feels,
03:11but that's why I fell in love with music,
03:12and that's why I do music,
03:13is because it scratches that part of my soul
03:17that nothing else can,
03:18and that's exactly what this song did for me,
03:20and seeing it resonate with other people
03:22and having that same effect with other people,
03:24scratching their soul a little bit,
03:26it means the world to me, truly.
03:29Yeah, and then lastly, like, being at Stagecoach,
03:31like, what's the vibe overall been like for you,
03:33and, like, what was it like to, like,
03:34play your first Stagecoach show and be at this festival?
03:38Um, nuts.
03:39If I'm being honest, it's been crazy.
03:42My set yesterday, it felt great.
03:44I hope it went great to the crowd,
03:46but up on stage, we had a blast,
03:49and, you know, I'm just on cloud nine.
03:54I don't really know how to explain it.
