00:14Hafiz Saeed spends a lot of his time during the day in this part of the building.
00:19So this is where his family lives, he goes there to sleep, this is where he works.
00:23Terror mastermind found in posh Pakistan locale.
00:35India Today zeroes in on Lashkar chief's den.
00:42Yet Pakistan stays silent on India's enemy number one.
00:48India Today, world exclusive.
00:55Good evening, you're watching NewsTrack here on India Today.
00:59I'm Akshita Anandakopal and over the next 30 minutes we'll get you a world exclusive.
01:03We've pinned down the location of terror mastermind Hafiz Saeed and guess what?
01:07He's living it up in Pakistan, not hiding in jail, not hiding in some bunker,
01:13but living in a mansion with a private park with a madrasa right around the corner and 24 bar 7 security.
01:20For the first time, we'll show you images of his home.
01:24We'll also show you the satellite images that show you exactly where he stays in a bustling area of Lahore.
01:30Proof clearly that Pakistan not just shelters terrorists, but also celebrates them, treats them like VIPs.
01:38That exclusive coming your way. Let's begin with the headlines.
01:41Big announcement by Modi government.
01:47Cast census to be conducted soon.
01:49Rahul Gandhi says center adopted Congress vision.
01:52PGP calls Congress cast census unscientific.
02:00Prime Minister Modi chairs key security meet, reviews security in Jamun Kashmir,
02:04overhauls National Security Advisory Board ex-Raw chief appointed as the head.
02:09Rahul Gandhi urges Prime Minister to respond after the attack says make terrorists pay and assures full 100% support of opposition.
02:24Lashkar chief Hafiz Syed tracked to Lahore safe house.
02:32India's enemy number one hiding in plain sight.
02:35India today accesses satellite images of terror masterminds hideout.
02:39India wants Pakistan against repeated ceasefire violations along LOC, India and Pakistan DGMOs hold talks.
02:53Let's get to the big news break coming in of India continuing its digital strike against Pakistan.
03:13Now the Instagram accounts of Pakistan celebrities, artists has been blocked.
03:19Actors Hania Amir, Mahira Khan's Instagram has been blocked.
03:23Artists like Ali Zafar, Sanam Saeed, singer Bilal, all of them have been blocked on Instagram.
03:29You cannot view their accounts on Instagram.
03:31Now these are pages of some of the most popular Pakistani actors who also have a huge following here in India.
03:39Now their Instagram accounts have been blocked.
03:42They will no longer be accessible here in India.
03:45There is a long list of Pakistani actors, celebrities who feature in this list.
03:50We have listed out a few of those actors.
03:53Imran Abbas, Sajal Ali, you have Ali Zafar, the actor singer, Sanam Saeed, singer Bilal, Mahira Khan, Hania Amir.
04:02These are the actors who are now facing a digital strike from India.
04:07Their accounts no longer accessible on Indian soil.
04:10Their Instagram accounts have been blocked.
04:12I would like to bring in Gaurav Samant on this broadcast for more on that news break.
04:16We are seeing Gaurav, the next step in the digital strike by India.
04:19But many wonder, what really is the message that the Indian government is intending to send across
04:24by cracking down on Instagram accounts on Pakistani celebrities?
04:28What does that do?
04:30This is a whole of the nation approach to deal with Pakistan state-sponsored radical Islamist terror.
04:36The fact that those Pakistani terrorists, they singled out the tourists, separated the men from women,
04:44asked them their religion, their names, and then shot them at point-blank range.
04:49That's actually shaken the conscience of the country.
04:51And it's not just the government that's reacting.
04:53The government actually wants the people also to come forward and make it the whole of the nation approach in dealing with Pakistan terror.
05:02Remember, initially, India stopped playing bilateral cricket with Pakistan, hoping that would send across a message.
05:08But unfortunately, Pakistan state-sponsored terror continues to bleed and continue to bleed India.
05:14Then there were strikes that were carried out, surgical strikes, balakot airstrikes.
05:18Then, while the rest of the country was safer, Jammu and Kashmir continued to bleed.
05:23And this time, people from across the length and breadth of the country were massacred in Jammu and Kashmir.
05:28So now, not just their cricketers, but even their celebrities, their civil society members,
05:34they're also being blocked, Pakistani passport holders.
05:37They're all being sent back to Pakistan because India says,
05:40we don't want anything to do with a terror state.
05:44If the people of Pakistan want better relations with India,
05:47then they need to put pressure on their government, on their army to stop terror.
05:52Take action against Hafiz Zaid.
05:54Take action against Masood Azhar.
05:56Close the India-centric military jihad complex.
05:59But if in Pakistan, a radical Islamist army chief like Asim Munir,
06:04to remain in power and seek an extension of tenure and to remain relevant things,
06:09that he can massacre people in India and then rally the entire country around him,
06:14what does it say about the people of Pakistan?
06:17And look at the kind of messages that are coming from the leadership of Pakistan,
06:22including their senators.
06:24When they talk about Indians and especially when they talk about Hindus,
06:27it's with such contempt.
06:29So when Pakistanis have that mindset,
06:32the lesser Indians do with them,
06:34the better it is to keep India and Indians safe from Pakistan terror.
06:39Perhaps that's the message that the government wants to send across.
06:43Okay, Gaurav, thanks very much for joining us with those details.
06:46What you're seeing is a significant crackdown
06:48and a crackdown by the Indian government on every front,
06:51digitally, on celebrities, on influencers, YouTubers,
06:55all of them now paying the price for the affiliation to Pakistan,
07:00to a country that has pushed terror into India, has bled India repeatedly.
07:05So clearly a crackdown and one of many steps that the government is taking.
07:09Let's get you more breaking news coming in.
07:19And the non-stop security huddles continue.
07:22Army Chief also has met with Prime Minister Modi at the Prime Minister's residence today.
07:27General Upendra Dwedi visited the Prime Minister.
07:30And this is the second meeting in a matter of 24 hours.
07:33The images on your screens right now is from last evening's meeting,
07:36when you had the NSA, the Chief of Defence Staff,
07:39the three service chiefs present in that meeting with Prime Minister Modi.
07:42Today, however, it was a meeting in which you had the Army Chief,
07:47the External Affairs Minister and NSA Ajit Doval.
07:51Shivani Sharma is joining us live with more details on this.
07:54Shivani, all of this obviously adding to the build-up,
07:57the questions of what's really cooking.
07:59Was this a scheduled meet or an impromptu one?
08:03Akshita, the government is weighing option for the tactical operations
08:07that are still underway and still to be done.
08:10And we've seen how Defence Minister had been meeting Prime Minister for the past two days.
08:15Today, again, there was a CCS.
08:17And in the evening, we've seen that how NSA,
08:20the External Affairs Minister and the Army Chief
08:22were once again at PM's residence for a huddle.
08:25And this means that some kind of authorization
08:28is already being given by the government to the forces
08:32as we got those messages from yesterday's meeting also, Akshita,
08:37where it was being said that the government relies and has full faith in the forces.
08:43And it has given complete operational freedom to the Army, Navy and the Air Force.
08:48And there is no room for terror. Terror has to be crushed down.
08:52So that message has been crystal clear, strong and stern.
08:56And today also, another round of meetings happened with the Prime Minister
09:00in the evening when the Army Chief met.
09:02So we all are expecting that there is something which the government and the forces are working upon.
09:09And very soon, we'll get to know the details.
09:12OK, Shivani, thanks very much for joining us with those details.
09:16For obvious reasons, all of these meetings, these non-stop huddles taking place
09:20with the service chiefs also in attendance is only leading to more speculation
09:24that something is in the offing. Something is about to happen.
09:28But when will it happen? In what manner? How? All that.
09:32Only the men, the gentlemen that you see in that video there, perhaps have the answers to.
09:37And very soon, we're hoping to get those details as well.
09:40All right, more breaking news that's coming in right now. Let's cut across, straight across.
09:43Now, even as we've seen India making it clear that the Indus Waters Treaty is now in abeyance.
09:58As a step that was taken by India in response to the Pelgam terror attack,
10:02Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a crucial meeting at his residence
10:06where you had the Jal Shakti minister, the waters minister of the country, C.R. Patal, in attendance.
10:11Sources have told us that talks were held on water storage construction.
10:16Remember, there have been several questions about exactly how India will pause the flow of water into Pakistan.
10:22And so, even if that's something that India plans to do, it could take a couple of years for construction of dams,
10:29water storage facilities, etc. Now, we're hearing that that's exactly what was discussed in this huddle.
10:35Sources telling us that talks on Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana's water use was also brought up.
10:41Along the course of the Indus Waters Treaty being put in abeyance,
10:45what's also been put in the spotlight is the fact that as a result of this treaty,
10:49India's water storage levels are abysmally low.
10:52And you compare that to Pakistan, which has much higher water storage levels.
10:56That's now in the spotlight, and it looks like the government has decided to do something about that too,
11:00which is why there is a conversation right now within the government,
11:04which the home minister himself is personally looking into,
11:07to figure out exactly how to boost up water levels right now.
11:11Make the most of the Indus Waters Treaty being in abeyance.
11:15So, a lot of hectic parlays, activity happening in New Delhi.
11:31Let's get you now. As promised, our big India Today world exclusive.
11:36We've zeroed in, tracked down exactly where terror mastermind Hafiz Syed is.
11:41Let me show you straight away exactly where he's located.
11:44He's not in a jail as Pakistan claims.
11:46He's instead in the city of Lahore.
11:49Not hiding in some corner, in some desolate, isolated area.
11:53Not at all.
11:54What you see here is the satellite image that we've accessed here on India Today.
11:59In a bustling neighbourhood full of houses, as you can see.
12:03Right there on top, which we have marked out in red,
12:06is the main mansion plus residence of Hafiz Syed, where his family resides with him.
12:12Right opposite that is a mosque madrasa, where he operates out of.
12:15He has people coming in.
12:17He's teaching them, you know, going ahead and moving forward with his learnings,
12:21or rather terror recruitments happening in that madrasa.
12:25There are basements there, so if he ever needs to hide, that's right there.
12:28There's another residential property, and then there's a private park too.
12:31All of this belongs to a terrorist.
12:34A VIP, essentially, in Pakistan.
12:37That's very clear, because of the fact that you have him roaming
12:40with 24 bar 7 security provided by the Pakistani army.
12:44The face of evil, Hafiz Syed isn't hiding in some hole in Pakistan.
12:48He's living, clearly, in a thriving neighbourhood like you and me.
12:52As if he's a hero, he has a mansion, he has 24 bar 7 security.
12:56He even has a private park.
12:59We break down for you the details that we've accessed here on India Today.
13:02Not just satellite images, but footage too, of what Hafiz Syed's residence looks like.
13:08Hafiz Mohamed Syed, Lashkar-e-Taiba chief, the Pahlgaam attack mastermind.
13:19India's most wanted and enemy number one.
13:23It was his terror proxies that unleashed terror on Indian civilians on April 22nd.
13:27The terror mastermind continues to live in Pakistani protection.
13:31Here's the proof.
13:36India Today has tracked down the current location of Hafiz Syed.
13:39He lives in Lahore, in a densely populated colony,
13:42under heavy security provided by the Pakistani government.
13:46Right beside this highway, right beside this highway, there is this posh locality.
13:53Within this posh locality, there are three structures that I want to focus on.
13:58This structure is where Hafiz Syed, the Lashkar chief, lives with his family.
14:03The structure, the second structure, that is slightly bigger, that will come up on your screens.
14:10This one, this one houses a mosque, a madrasa and a residential complex as well.
14:16So this is his home, this is his work office.
14:22India Today has also exclusively accessed videos of Hafiz Syed's Lahore safe house.
14:27This is how the terror den looks.
14:31In one of the exclusive videos accessed by India Today,
14:35a man can be heard speaking to personal security of Hafiz Syed about them.
14:39In another video, a man can be seen giving out details about two buildings standing at a vantage point.
15:03In a third video, policemen guarding Hafiz Syed can be seen pushing a car.
15:19Another man in the video details buildings around the hideout.
15:23Satellite pictures and video footage exclusively accessed by India Today show how India's most wanted terrorist hides on a plain sight.
15:40Globally designated terrorist leader living among common people in the middle of a Pakistani city.
15:48With Arvind Oja and Ankit Kumar, Bureau Report, India Today.
15:56Okay, let's bring in Ankit Kumar, editor of our open source intelligence team.
16:01And also, we have Arvind Oja joining us live from Srinagar.
16:05Both of whom got us this investigative report, this world exclusive.
16:09Ankit, I'd like to begin with you.
16:11If you could just explain to us, how did you actually track down and zero in on Hafiz Syed's location?
16:17So, Hafiz Syed living in Lahore was no secret.
16:22If you see our investigation, there are two elements to it.
16:25First element is the satellite imagery.
16:27Second element is the visual confirmation of Hafiz Syed's security personnel.
16:33In fact, confirming on camera that they have been deployed by Hafiz Syed to protect himself.
16:39Now, the first element we will come to first.
16:43The satellite pictures show that the official address of Hafiz Syed,
16:49which we find in multiple doses provided by the government of India,
16:53the government of Pakistan and other governments as well.
16:56The same address that we see on the US government's Treasury Department website,
17:01because he was sanctioned after 2611.
17:04The same address that we find on the UNSC website.
17:07The same address, we managed to track it using satellite imagery first,
17:13then when we needed visual confirmation.
17:16Our colleague Arvind Oja, through his sources, managed to get Hafiz Syed's security personnel
17:23to confess on camera that they have been deployed there to protect Hafiz Syed.
17:28So, using satellite pictures, using visual confirmation,
17:32we can conclusively say that Hafiz Syed has been living in Lahore's Johor town
17:38under three-layered protective security by the rangers, police and personal security,
17:44right in the heart of one of Pakistan's biggest cities.
17:48And what a joke. Three-layered security for a terrorist.
17:53That's how he's living it up in Pakistan, in one of the most urban pockets of Lahore.
17:58I'd like to bring in Arvind Oja, who fetched us those details of exactly where Hafiz Syed is.
18:03Arvind, the details we're putting out of Hafiz Syed living it up in Lahore.
18:07Indian agencies also know that this is Hafiz Syed's location?
18:14Look, Hafiz Syed has had 26 attacks in Mumbai in Mumbai,
18:21and now the attack was attacked by TRF.
18:25TRF is a front organization of Lushkar.
18:28So, this is clear that if people have said that after this is Hafiz Syed,
18:33that they will say that they will say that they will say that they will say that Hafiz Syed,
18:35that they will say that they will say that they will say that Hafiz Syed was very close to that.
18:42And the Indian agencies also know that Hafiz Syed is here,
18:44this is the one who is attacking lines.
18:46In this passage, there is also another attack of Hafiz Syed is here,
18:50which is over 20021.
18:51This video is brought to you by India.
19:21Lahore town is hidden in the bill.
19:51The people who are shielded by Pakistan who are protected and enjoy the best of lifestyles in Pakistan, courtesy the Pakistan army, the Pakistan government, Hafiz Saeed, LAT chief, as we just showed you, lives in Lahore with that protection from Pakistan, so much so that he has, round the clock, three-layered security, which has, by the way, been beefed up since the Pahlkam attack.
20:12Masud Asar, Jaish-e-Mohmad chief, wanted for multiple terror attacks. There's even a notice issued against him. The last seen moment was in 2024 last year.
20:21Again, India Today had got new pictures of Masud Asar at a wedding in Bahawalpur. That was in 2024.
20:27He's also protected by Pakistan. He's even attending weddings. Imagine that. This is a terrorist.
20:33Zakir Rahman Lakwi, LAT co-founder, had a big role in 2611. Last spotted in Islamabad. Has changed his identity, changed his name, which we'll tell you about in a report in just a bit.
20:44But he, too, is in Pakistani soil, enjoying life. Davod Ibrahim, wanted gangster, lives in Karachi. That's the last known location that he's been in. He's been there for the last many, many years.
20:56Again, courtesy the patronage that Pakistan provides. Sajid Mir, LAT plotter, lives in an unknown location in Pakistan.
21:05It's been very difficult to identify exactly where Sajid Mir is. Indian agencies have been after him for the last many, many years.
21:11But it looks like Pakistan is not just shielding him, but also ensuring nobody finds out exactly where he resides.
21:18It's not just terrorist gangsters, too. We showed you Davod Ibrahim. There's Chota Shaquille, also wanted gangster involved in the Mumbai bomb blasts, also based in Karachi.
21:27It's almost as if Karachi is a gangster den. And there's a reason I say that. It's not just Davod Ibrahim and Chota Shaquille.
21:34Tiger Memon, again a wanted gangster, again had a role in the Mumbai bomb blasts.
21:39He lives in Karachi, very, very little known about exactly where Tiger Memon is, completely off the radar.
21:47And that's because he clearly enjoys protection from Pakistan.
21:51Another terrorist, an LAT commander, Saifullah Khalid, who allegedly also has a role in the Pahlkam terror attack, lives in Peshawar.
21:58And there's no action against him as well. This is a long list, but it's longer than this.
22:04There are a lot more names that we can keep going on about of terrorists, of gangsters, of criminals who are shielded by Pakistan.
22:12The reality is that Pakistan continues to do this without facing any sort of backlash, without facing any sort of action.
22:21They've been exposed repeatedly and yet continue to shield these criminals.
22:25Remember what happened to Osama bin Laden and the fact that America exposed how Pakistan had provided a shield for him, a residence for him in Abbottabad.
22:34Nothing happened since Pakistan has learned no lessons.
22:38But let's talk about Zakir Rahman Lakhi.
22:40I was mentioning how he's in Pakistan right now.
22:44The man who masterminded the 26-11 Mumbai attacks.
22:49Once behind bars in Pakistan, he now walks free.
22:53Spotted in Lahore, spotted in Rawalpindi.
22:56There's a video that's essentially surfaced.
22:58Lakhi, under a new alias, was caught on camera.
23:02Undergoing fitness training, cheered on by known figures with military links.
23:07As hilarious as this video is, it's also alarming.
23:10Because this man is a terrorist.
23:11Here's that report.
23:14Zakir Rahman Lakhi, chief military commander of Lashkar-e-Tayaba, the mastermind of 26-11 Mumbai terror attacks.
23:24Once jailed by a Pakistani court, Lakhi now freely roams the streets of Lahore and Rawalpindi.
23:32Two of the three cities set to host the Indian cricket team.
23:36Lakhi, listed by the Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council, has since adopted the alias Abuwasi.
23:48A recent video circulated on social media shows a bearded man participating in a supervised fitness test,
23:58with claims suggesting it was Lakhi himself.
24:02The India Today open source investigation team confirmed the identity using three facial recognition programs,
24:11verifying that the man in the footage was indeed the wanted terrorist.
24:16Also present in the footage was Dr. Zayed Harris, who describes himself as an Islamic scholar and is frequently featured in videos discussing religious and humanitarian values.
24:30The trainer supervising was identified as Sayyid Muhammad, who boasts the title of former Mr. Pakistan on his social media.
24:40Both Sayyid and Harris were seen cheering for Lakhi during the exercise in the video, first circulated by pro-LET account.
24:51When contacted, Muhammad claimed he was unaware of the identity of the individual undergoing the fitness test,
24:59referring to it as a family event from the early days of COVID.
25:03However, this assertion proved false.
25:06In the video, Muhammad can be heard cheering.
25:10The footage was also aimed at the
25:40competitions. According to official records, Lakvi was born on December 30, 1960, making
25:55him 63-year-old in 2024, and not during early COVID days, as he claimed. Both Mohamed and
26:04Harris have shared photos on their social media that appear to show them interacting
26:09with Pakistani military officials. Months after the 26-11 Mumbai attacks, the UNSE's ISIL and Al-Qaeda
26:18sanctions committee added Lakvi to its list. The US, India and various European nations have
26:26sanctioned him for his terrorist activities. US officials have confirmed Lakvi's close ties
26:33with Al-Qaeda and his oversight of operations beyond Pakistan's borders.
26:40According to intelligence sources, Lakvi has residences in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Okara, where he moves
26:48freely. The terror commander was convicted in a terror finance case by a Pakistan court at
26:55time when Pakistan was staring at being blacklisted by the Financial Action Task Force. Sources
27:02have told India Today that the dreaded terrorist arrest was just a media eyewash.
27:08With Arvind Oja and Ankit Kumar, Bureau Report, India Today.
27:18The brazenness with which Pakistan shields terrorists and then helps them to cross over to Indian soil
27:24has been exposed repeatedly and yet the world watches silently. What we've also been seeing
27:29in the last 24 hours is a lot of action along the India-Pakistan border. Since the Pahalgam attack,
27:36Pakistan has been extremely wary of what kind of action India will take. They've resorted to multiple
27:43ceasefire violations. We're highlighting a few for you here. All of these are along the LOC.
27:49Now, interestingly, today you had an escalation in the sense that you had ceasefire violations
27:54being reported along the international border as well. This is, in fact, in Pargwal of Jammu that
28:01you had the international border, an incident of a ceasefire violation as well. Our first
28:06is then reciprocated, retaliated. They also said that they've got all of the footage of the ceasefire
28:13violation by Pakistan. But just look at the string of incidents that you see on your screens there. All of this
28:19prompted right after the Pahalgam terror attack, right after April 22nd. We have highlighted the dates for you
28:25as well to show you the multiple ceasefire violations, all because Pakistan is triggered unsure of how India
28:32will really react to the Pahalgam terror attack. And so they're responding by resorting to these kind of
28:38ceasefire violations. And then they talk about suspending the Shimla agreement when all along they're barely
28:42following it themselves. We're going to continue tracking all the latest updates that come in on India's response to the
28:50Pahalgam terror attack, the aftermath of the April 22nd terror attack. But that's all we have time for in this
28:56edition of NewsTrack. Thanks very much for tuning in.
