00:38He was awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to cancer care, recognizing his work with Love Hope Strength, the cancer charity he co-founded with his wife Jules.
00:47Their work helped add more than 250,000 people to the global stem cell donor list, often through campaigns at rock concerts.
00:54His patriotism shone through as well, and teamed up with fans in 2021 to release the Red Wall of Cymru, the anthem for Wales' postponed Euro 2020 campaign.
