00:28said 13 individuals were arrested, including seven foreign nationals from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
00:35The raids followed nearly two months of intelligence gathering.
00:39Preliminary investigations revealed that the syndicate had allegedly been re-bottling engine oil
00:45with fake labels of popular vehicle brands and selling the products via e-commerce platforms and social media.
00:51The operation is believed to have been active for two to three years,
00:55generating millions of ringgit in illegal profits.
00:59The case is being investigated under Section 102, Subsection 1, Subsection C of the Trademarks Act 2019
01:06and Section 5 of the Trade Descriptions Act 2011.
