00:00It's a wonderful signal box. We want to protect and keep the heritage of this box which was
00:15actually built in 1895. So although this will be the last steam train it signals through Hazemere,
00:20it will not be the last steam train it sees through Hazemere. In October we're going to
00:25take over the box and operate it as a working museum. It will be open to the public to come
00:29and see how the railway was signalled from 1895 until this date etc. And of course when
00:36this is decommissioned then signalling is going over into Basingstoke, into the rock. So it's
00:42not just a signal box we've taken over, we've taken over the surrounding land and we're actually
00:46placing it in a memorial garden and this is a picture of the signal box as it will look
00:50because the entrance of the signal box when we take it over will be at the back of the box it is now.
00:59So we're out of the box.
