00:30It's a delight. It really is an honour to be part of this fantastic piece of history and to get to take part and to cherish that for your memories going forward as I take that into my career. It's fantastic. Very, very proud.
01:00It's a wonderful signal box.
01:28We want to protect and keep the heritage of this box, which was actually built in 1895.
01:34So although this will be the last steam train it signals through Hazemere, it will not be the last steam train it sees through Hazemere.
01:40In October, we're going to take over the box and operate it as a working museum.
01:45It will be open to the public to come and see how the railway was signalled from 1895 until this date, etc.
01:52And of course, when this is decommissioned, then signalling is going over into Basingstoke, into the rock.
01:58So it's not just the signal box we've taken over.
02:00We've taken over the surrounding land and we're actually placing it in a memorial garden.
02:04And this is a picture of the signal box as it will look because the entrance of the signal box when we take it over will be at the back of the box it is now.
02:13And this is a picture of the signal box.
