00:00yeah good afternoon my name is Ron Fowler I'm a resident of Riverside Park East Farley
00:06and been here five years now and just a year ago it's brought to our attention that one of
00:12our neighbours challenged their council tax banding they was on B and their property was
00:18changed to band A we got to hear about this and we made inquiries ourself as our property
00:26is smaller than two of our neighbours which live next door to us we live at five number six number
00:31seven are bigger properties and they are band A and we are band B so we challenged this over a year ago
00:38with the VOA it took a year to get a response from them and they declined our challenge on the basis
00:48that our property was banded on what it would have been worth back in 1991 when our property
00:56wasn't even here in 1991 so I don't know how they achieved that evaluation anyway but the long and
01:03short of it is we're not happy with their response and you know we're going to continue to challenge
01:09it and if it's B it's B that's fine but I really don't think it's fair that two properties to the
01:15right of us can be band A and we're band B
