00:00Google AdSense is one of the best ways of making money online.
00:04Now you might be asking, Matt, what exactly is Google AdSense
00:07and how can I potentially make a lot of money with it?
00:10Well, I've been making money with Google AdSense ever since I was a teenager
00:13and it has completely transformed my life.
00:17Ever since I discovered that you can connect Google AdSense
00:20to a couple of different other tools,
00:22I could do the work once by generating certain assets
00:24and then make money from those assets for a long, long time.
00:28Now what exactly is Google AdSense and how can you make money from it?
00:33Well, to explain this, imagine for a second a world without online ads.
00:37Now I know that might sound peaceful,
00:39but ads in a lot of ways are actually what keeps the internet powered.
00:44The reality is that the free content that you love consuming online,
00:47whether it be cat videos or your favorite blog,
00:50these probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for online ads.
00:54Now traditionally, advertising depended on expensive mediums
00:57like television, newspaper ads.
00:59But now, needless to say, most people are on the internet
01:02and that is where you want your ads to be seen in front of other people.
01:06And one of the biggest ad networks out there,
01:08which is owned by one of the biggest companies in the world,
01:11is Google AdSense.
01:13And you can use this to your benefit to potentially earn an income online
01:16with whatever you're interested in.
01:18It's 100% free to join.
01:20It can even make a lot of money for small creators.
01:23It doesn't require a ton of technical knowledge to set up
01:25and will allow you to monetize and potentially earn income online.
01:29So let's start with way number one of making money with Google AdSense,
01:33which is with video content.
01:36This is what initially allowed me to start making $3,000 per month
01:39when I was just 15 years old.
01:41And by the time I graduated high school, I was making $30,000 per month,
01:44never had to work a traditional job.
01:46And that's all because of Google AdSense.
01:49Google AdSense has changed my life.
01:51And that's no exaggeration whatsoever.
01:53I would be in a job I hated right now
01:55if it wasn't for this product by Google.
01:57And as much as people might say that online ads are terrible
02:00and intrusive and everything, trust me, I hear you.
02:03But you can utilize this to your benefit.
02:04And online ads like this have changed so many people's lives.
02:08And it's enabled probably a lot of your favorite creators to do what they do.
02:12Now, what if I were to tell you that I used Google AdSense with videos
02:15to make a ton of money online and I wasn't even a YouTuber?
02:20I never showed my face on camera.
02:21I didn't step in front of a camera.
02:23I didn't even have to do any of that.
02:25Yet I was still able to utilize this amazing way of making money online and video.
02:30And that was still on YouTube.
02:31And that was by running something called Faceless Cash Cow YouTube channels.
02:36These are YouTube channels where you never have to show your face
02:38or step in front of a camera.
02:39And you can still potentially make a lot of money from them.
02:43These are niche YouTube channels just like the ones that got me play buttons
02:46just like this for hitting over a million subscribers
02:48without ever even showing my face.
02:50And if I can do this as a broke high school student,
02:53then I truly believe that it's possible for you too as well.
02:56So in order to start doing this, first and foremost, we need a YouTube channel.
03:00And I've made countless videos here on my Make Money Matt channel
03:03where I go over exactly how to start a channel step by step.
03:06So feel free to check those out.
03:07I've also got tons of tutorials on exactly how I run these Faceless YouTube channels.
03:11So once you have your channel, whether it's a faceless channel, personal channel,
03:14no matter what it is, once you have it and once it's starting to get views,
03:18once you have 4,000 hours of watch time and 1,000 subscribers,
03:21you can join something that changed my life.
03:25The YouTube Partner Program.
03:27This allows you to connect your AdSense account to your YouTube account.
03:32And then AdSense will show ads on your YouTube videos.
03:35And for every single time someone sees an ad, you will get a little bit of money.
03:39And you might be saying, Matt, just a little bit of money.
03:41How could I potentially make big money or change my life with this?
03:44Well, it can add up in more ways than you probably think.
03:47And here's how you can make the most of it.
03:49First and foremost, you need to understand the different types of ads that show on YouTube videos.
03:53You've got pre-roll ads which show before the video,
03:56mid-roll ads which show during the video,
03:58and then post-roll ads which show after the video.
04:01And YouTube will show these ads on your videos regardless if you're a partner or not.
04:05So it's basically a no-brainer to join the YouTube Partner Program as soon as you possibly can
04:10so that you can start getting a cut of that revenue.
04:13Then in order to make the most amount of money with this,
04:15you're going to want to go in and select the button in your monetization settings for your channel
04:19to monetize all of your videos.
04:22Make sure you select to put ads on all of your different videos.
04:25And this will do it automatically.
04:27Then what you're going to want to do is go into these individual videos
04:31and start placing manual mid-roll ads.
04:34Essentially, what you can do is put multiple ad breaks throughout your video
04:37and you'll make a lot more money per thousand views
04:40as opposed to just putting those beginning and ending ads.
04:43And you want to put them at points where viewer retention is likely to be high in the video
04:46without interrupting the viewer experience too much.
04:49And in order to put these mid-roll ads,
04:50you do need to produce videos that are longer than eight minutes.
04:53So make sure to do that as well.
04:55And also certain niches or topics make more money than others.
04:58For example, if you have a YouTube channel and video specifically centered around
05:03making money online, finance, technology, business, travel, health,
05:08all of these topics right here are very what are considered high CPM.
05:13This means they make more money per thousand views than most other videos
05:18and most other topics on YouTube.
05:20And why is that?
05:21Well, if you look at the top advertisers on YouTube
05:23or even on Google AdSense as a whole,
05:25it's going to be companies like Apple,
05:27which is in the technology niche,
05:29Expedia, which is in the travel niche.
05:31So what types of videos and what types of keywords
05:34are these companies going to be targeting for their ads?
05:37Well, obviously it's going to be all of those topics that I just mentioned.
05:40And that is why those topics are high CPM
05:42because they have more ad dollars from AdSense going into those topics.
05:45And then you can take advantage of that by producing content on YouTube, for example,
05:49and then getting a cut of that revenue.

06:05Now, how much money can you actually make with AdSense on YouTube?
06:08Well, I've noticed most of the time, most channels get about a $5 to $10 CPM,
06:12meaning you make about $5 to $10 per thousand views.
06:15However, if you choose one of those high CPM topics,
06:17you could be looking at upwards of $15 to $30 per thousand views,
06:21especially anything related to business or making money online.
06:24Now, what's so epic about YouTube as well,
06:26not even just the fact that they have that magic monetization button that you can click
06:30and enable ads on your channel,
06:32but what you can also do is start making money from day one on YouTube
06:35by promoting high payout partner products.
06:38These are products where you get a commission for every sale that you get.
06:41You can find them on places like digistore24.com.

06:47You can go to mattpar.com slash affiliates.
06:50And then we've got tons of different affiliate resources that you can use
06:53to promote that program and you can get a cut of that ad revenue.
06:56So let's say, for example, you're running a channel that was related to making money on YouTube.
07:01Then you can promote that program in the description of all of your different videos
07:05and get a 50% commission for every sale that you refer.
07:09Now, my course isn't the only one that's out there that you can go out and promote.
07:12There's tons of different ones out there,
07:13but I truly believe that my course is one of the best when it comes to making money on YouTube.
07:18And I've literally had students who have made money their first week on YouTube doing this strategy.
07:23And that way they don't have to wait to get monetized.
07:25And then when they do, they get monetized and they start making money from AdSense.
07:28It's just an extra bonus.
07:29Way number two of making money with AdSense is by doing something called digital journaling.
07:34Essentially, what this means is taking high value content.
07:37In fact, you could even take the scripts from your YouTube videos that you already have.
07:41And then you could just rewrite it a little bit.
07:43And you take that high value content and you put it on a platform like Webflow or WordPress.
07:49And then that content can live on the internet forever, giving people value.
07:52You can rank in search results by implementing SEO, which is search engine optimization, onto your website.
07:58And then you can put Google AdSense ads on that website.
08:02Now, I've done this in the past and I've made pretty decent money,
08:05like a couple hundred dollars per month doing this in the past.
08:07I've never gone all in on doing digital journaling specifically with AdSense,
08:12but I know people who make well over a hundred thousand dollars per month with their websites doing this.
08:18So I know it's 100% possible to do.
08:20I've gone all in on YouTube, though.
08:21That's been what I focus on over the past couple of years,
08:24because I personally like YouTube a little bit more.
08:26I like video content.
08:28And that's just what I'm personally interested in a little bit more.
08:30Plus, I was just lucky to find out about that at a pretty young age as well.
08:33And also, if you create an app, you can put Google AdSense ads on that app as well,
08:37and you can make money every single time somebody sees it.
08:40There's tons of different apps out there that implement AdSense onto them,
08:43and they're making money every single time someone uses their app.
08:46And you'll see apps out there that have a million installs.
08:49Imagine if a million people are using that app every single day,
08:52and they're making the owner of that app money.
08:54And there's tons of different no-code solutions and no-code tools out there
08:57that allow you to build apps super easily nowadays.
08:59So not being a developer is no excuse anymore.
09:02It's definitely possible to do this, no matter who you are.
09:05Now, as I've mentioned, running faceless YouTube channels
09:08is my favorite way of making money with Google AdSense.
