PLDT bows out of AVC Champions League with loss to Kazakhstan
PLDT caps its 2025 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Champions League campaign with a loss over the tall Kazakhstan squad in the quarterfinals, 25-13, 25-22, 25-20, on at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on April 24 2025. The High Speed Hitters failed to keep up with the nine-time Kazakhstan champion Zhetysu VC as main gunner Tatyana Nikitina fired 19 points to send PLDT packing. Karyna Denysova and Yuliia Dymar added 15 and 11 points, respectively for the visiting team. Filipino-Canadian Savi Davison led the scoring for PLDT with 13 points, while Cuban import Wilma Salas made 11 points. High Speed Hitters team captain Kath Arado tallied 17 excellent digs.
