00:00In the Vatican, thousands of faithful bid farewells to both Francis at St. Peter's
00:12Basilica. His body will be lying in the state until the funeral on Saturday.
00:16A new flight with 174 Venezuelan migrants arriving in Caracas from the United States on Wednesday
00:25as part of the return to the homeland plan.
00:31In Palestine, a Ministry of Health report that in the last 24 hours, Israeli bombing has killed
00:3639 civilians in the Gaza Strip.
00:44Hello and welcome to Front de Soudo.
00:45My name is Marrero, Front de Telesur headquarters in Caracas, Venezuela.
00:48Will be with the news, stay with us.
00:55The body of Pope Francis has entered St. Peter's Basilica after being carried across
01:07St. Peter's Square and is now lying in the state after the liturgy of the word has ended.
01:13The procession which lasted just under 40 minutes saw the transfer of the body of Pope Francis
01:19from his residence in Santa Marta, passing through St. Peter's Square and concluding
01:25at St. Peter's Basilica.
01:27Cardinal Camarolengo Kevin Farrell has just completed the target of the word.
01:40University professors in Argentina go on a strife for 24 hours and prepare to rally against
01:45Malay's government policies.
01:47This Wednesday, the union of university teachers explained that they will mobilize towards Congress
01:52together with the retirees' protests as a measure of force against the state.
01:57The union is asking authorities for a restatements plan to return to a living wage to the workers
02:03of the sector.
02:11The new flight with 174 Venezuelan migrants arrived in Caracas from the United States on
02:16the Wednesday last part of the return to the home loan plan.
02:19The aircraft with 29 women and 145 men was welcomed at the Maquetilla airport by several
02:25officials of the Venezuelan government.
02:27The flight is part of the prior implemented by President Nicolás Maduro to ensure that
02:32the dignified return of Venezuelans who have suffered greatly mistreatment abroad as a result
02:38of the criminal narrative spread by the Venezuelan right wing supported by the government of
02:42the United States and El Salvador.
02:50The Venezuelan government rejects the fake news published by U.S. press against the national
02:54energy sector describing them as media and economic attacks against the country.
02:59The Venezuelan Vice President, Delsi Rodriguez, assured that the accusations of the U.S. news
03:04agency are false and assured that the national oil company PDVSA continues to comply with
03:10its commitments established in the contracts with the company Chevron.
03:14All this after the Reuters accused PDVSA without evidence of not complying with the agreements
03:19with the transnational company Chevron by the supposedly diverting oil cargoes to other markets.
03:25In this regard, Rodriguez points out that the Venezuelan government has evidence that refutes
03:31the statements made by voters and reaffirms the country's determination to continue with
03:35the economic and energy recovery despite the sanctions and disinformation campaigns.
03:47In this regard, the executive vice president of Venezuela, Delsi Rodriguez, denounced through
03:50her social network that Reuters is lying shamelessly against the VESA maintains its commitments
03:55with Chevron as contemplated in its contract and in accordance with the law of the country.
04:01Chevron, on the contrary, is a victim of unlawful sanctions by the U.S. government.
04:05We have evidence of this in our hands.
04:08Apparently, Reuters made lies in its daily routine and disqualification itself from delaying
04:14with energy issues in Venezuela and the world as well.
04:18Venezuela will follow its own road to recovery despite criminal blockades and a mediocre media
04:24falsehood.
04:25Venezuela continues to overcome the economic crisis generated by illegal U.S. sanctions.
04:39In this scenario, citizens' rate trade with the help of a special program Return to the
04:43Homeland also have the opportunity to work in favor of the economic growth of the country.
04:48Let's see the following report of our colleague Bruno Falzi.
04:54The Return to the Homeland Plan has helped more than one million migrants to return to their
04:58country and their families, along with the state's productive reintegration programs.
05:08It is a great mission, that is to say.
05:12It is an inter-institutional social program that has several work areas.
05:17In that sense, one that is being activated today is the socio-economic vertex with a joint effort with
05:23the National Fund of Programs for Small and Medium Enterprises with HomePime to start the
05:27training plan as part of the whole entrepreneurship policy.
05:31There is a route that has to do with training, strengthening, financing and also the fares.
05:36So in this process we are activating the training route.
05:39The National Fund of Reciprocal Guarantees for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises together,
05:45with a mission back to the homeland, are training the repatriated groups to enter the labor market,
05:51so that they can return to their daily lives and foster the nation's economic growth.
06:00The program is a new program that was born with the same characteristics of the Venezuelan policies,
06:07the economic prosperity policies of the president, but now it has directly focused on all of this,
06:17with nationals who come to strengthen their knowledge, their hopes,
06:20but also to embrace their dreams and their illusions in a loving and economic way,
06:28so that they can have productive projects that generate added value and projects that are sustainable
06:33over time for their well-being as a family and also for the territorial development and the
06:37development of the country as well as the economic prosperity that we are witnessing.
06:42Venezuelans have expressed their desire to contribute to the economic growth of this South American country
06:50and to return to their families.
06:55I made the decision to return because I felt insecure there, economically unstable.
07:00I also come with my two children, one twelve years old and one three years old.
07:10The lack of emotional support there is also strong.
07:18Being away from the people you love is hard, thanks to the homeland for helping us,
07:23because this was really hope, as they say.
07:26I had already left my country for about six years.
07:30I was in Ecuador, in Peru, but I got tired of being over there, without my family, without my loved ones.
07:39I have three children and well, I came back here.
07:48I feel very happy with this plan.
07:52I am very happy that they gave me the opportunity to be here with my family.
07:56I feel lucky these policies are part of the National Development Plan, known as the seven transformations promoted by the government of this country,
08:08with the objective of achieving full economic independence.

08:51Welcome back to From the South.
08:53The Vice President of Venezuela, Darcy Rodriguez, arrived on Wednesday in China to strengthen
08:57by national diplomatic relations with the ASEAN.
09:00Rodriguez was received at the Beijing airport by the delegation headed by the DVD directorate
09:05of the Department of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Chinese Prime Minister of Venezuela's ambassador to the country, Regimeo Ceballos.
09:12The first International Congress of Entrepreneurs began on Wednesday in Caracas, an event promoted
09:24by the Venezuelan government that seeks to promote the exchange of experiences of entrepreneurs
09:30from all over the world.
09:31During the next two days, this meeting will bring together at least 300 international guests
09:37from more than 60 countries at the Simon Belvoir Parade Convention Center.
09:41Nearly 100 national entrepreneurs who will explore new global and emerging economic trends.
09:47In this context, the Vice President of Venezuela, Darcy Rodriguez, stressed the importance of self-streatening entrepreneurship.
09:52Well, we wanted to be here in China, welcoming all those international congressmen and women who have come to our country, the entrepreneurs of Venezuela, who are participating in this first international congress of entrepreneurs.
10:14Undoubtedly, a milestone in the history and what represents the economic engine for Venezuela, for Latin America and for the world, the entrepreneurial engine.
10:25I want, on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro, to welcome and open this important congress, considering the importance of entrepreneurship on the planet and in the international economy.
10:40China said on Wednesday that doors were open for talks with the U.S. after President Donald Trump softened his tone of the unfolding trade war between the world's two largest economies.
10:52During a daily press briefing, China's prime minister's spokesperson won the Yahu Kuna trade that Beijing advocate negotiations on the basis of equality and respect.
11:01The day before, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed optimism about making a deal with China and said he expected a high tariff for Chinese goods to come down, but not to zero.
11:13There are no winners in tariff wars or trade wars, and protectionism leads nowhere, decoupling and breaking chains will only isolate oneself.
11:26Regarding the tariff war initiated by the United States, China's stance is clear, we do not want to fight, but we are not afraid to fight.
11:33We will fight to the end if you want to have a tariff war, but if you want to have negotiations, our door is open.
11:38If the U.S. truly wants to resolve issues through dialogue and negotiation, it should stop threats and blackmail and engage in dialogue with China on the basis of equality, respect, and mutual benefit.
11:51Moving on, the International Coral Rift Initiative announced on Wednesday that harmful bleaching of the world corals has a growth to include for 84% the oceans rift in the most intense event of its kind in record history.
12:18Coral bleaching happens when corals are stressed by change in conditions such as temperature, light, or nutrition, and when they spill the symbiotics, algae, even in their tissue, causing them to turn completely wide.
12:33First coral bleaching event occurred in 1998 during a strong El Niño that was followed by a very strong El Niño, which brings out warmer waters to places like Palo Alto and Micronesia in the Pacific.
12:45We've just reached 1.5 degrees in the ocean, and you see the repercussions in this 2023-2024 bleaching event, and it's unprecedented.
13:01And, you know, that's what 1.5, if that's what 1.5 looks like, you know, and we're not even going to make 2 degrees at the current trajectories, it's very alarming.
13:17So I think people really need to recognize what they're doing, you know, by the inaction, you are, it's the kiss of death for coral reefs.
13:27We're seeing forecasts that temperatures are going to continue to stay high.
13:31There's no reason that they will be dropping down.
13:33So there's no indication that cooling will be going on.
13:38And so with all of that, we're looking at just continuing this heat stress out.
13:42That heat stress is what causes corals to bleach, and if it continues long enough or is severe enough, it causes corals to die.
13:53In Ecuador, authorities report floods and landslides following heavy rains in several regions.
13:58The National Secretariat of Risk Management report that at least three parishes are at high risk due to the floods caused by the overflowing of river, which affect around 12,000 families.
14:09The agency also said that commercial establishments are closed since the floods are damaged by sick kids.
14:20In Turkey, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake OSFL in Istanbul on Wednesday.
14:26Authorities report so far 151 people injured as they tried to exceed building out of the windows.
14:32U.S. ecological survey said the earthquake had a shallow deep of 10 kilometers.
14:39So we're at the epicenter, some 40 kilometers southwest of Istanbul, in the Sea of Marmara, and was felt in several neighboring regions.

15:09Well, final short break. Don't go away.
15:11Welcome back.
15:29In Palestine, a Ministry of Health report that in the last 24 hours, Israeli bombings has killed 39 civilians in the Gaza Strip.
15:36Medical sources also detail that 105 people were wounded as a consequence of the escalation of the genocide perpetrated by Israel in Gaza.
15:45Health authorities stress that a continuous attacks on their medical teams made it difficult to them to rescue the wounded in the rubble.
15:52Likewise, they confirmed that the number of Palestinians killed by the Sahni's offensive reached 51,305 among them women and children,
16:00when the number of wounded is 117,096.
16:14The King of Jordan, Abdullah, warns about Israeli escalation against Occupy West Bank and rejects attempts to displace Palestinians to other lands.
16:23After meeting with the delegations of France and the United States, King Abdullah II emphasized the need to restore the ceasefire in Gaza and resume the flood of humanitarian aid.
16:35He noted that Israel continues to violate the Holy Side in Jerusalem, driving the forced displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza.
16:43In Yemen, Houthi forces confirmed on Wednesday a missile was launched towards the northern Israel.
16:56The military spokesman, Yat Hasari, announced that the Yemeni armed forces carried out an military operation aimed at a beetle target of the Sahni's enemy in the occupied region of Haifa.
17:09For its part that day, the Israeli army said that the aircraft site ran silent in Haifa and other areas in the north of the country.
17:17Since the beginning of the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian forces have launched dozens of missile attacks against Israel in support of the Palestinian people.
17:25In the UK, the health secretary was sent in a visit on Wednesday to the France's security institute to monitor the new technology that is being developed to diagnose cancer faster and remove invasive tests.
17:45The UK government has, therefore, allocated 2.4 million euros to sponsored coding ages, a test.
17:54The National Institute for Health and Care Research leads the study, which uses over 20,000 patients' data.
18:01On the initial phase, scientists found out that the test could detect 12 of the most little cancers, including the of the bowel, at an early stage with over 99% accuracy.
18:15It gives us high definition and it's 10 times the magnification.
18:22And again, instead of making a big open cut and using my big hand, what I'm able to do is use those tiny miniaturised instruments to do the same movement in a really precise way, but within the abdomen through tiny little cuts.
18:35Reading up about it, like post recovery and things like that, said to be less invasive and to aid a quicker recovery after.
18:43So, yeah, so absolutely lots of faith in Ms. Yassin for today.
18:46Moving on, World Book Day is celebrated annually on April 23rd, a date that encourages individuals to embrace reading as a daily habit and to recognize the influence of literature and authors on global culture and society.
19:11In addition, the date seeks to rise to awareness about copyright protection and intellectual property, emphasizing the need to safeguard the rights of writers and creators.
19:21The 2025 data is dedicated to the role of literature in achieving the sustainable development goals, a theme that emphasizes how literature works can serve as tools for addressing global challenges.
19:32Inesco declares April 23rd as a world book date in 1995 to coincide with the death anniversary of writers William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes and Garcilaso de la Vega and honors their legacies.
