00:39Pwede po ba ninyong ipaliwanag kung ano po ang agroturismo at paano po ito nakatutulong
00:45sa pagpapalago po ng industriya ng agrikultura sa bansa?
00:51Ang agritourism po o kilala din bilang farm tourism ay kombinasyon po siya ng agricultural practices
00:59at tourism activities.
01:01Through farm tourism po, we offer yung mga visitors natin ng chance na ma-experience nila yung mga rural life,
01:09matuto about farming, and at the same time, ma-enjoy yung natural beauty at ang mga agricultural produce ng ating bansa.
01:17At sa kasalukuyan po ang Pilipinas ay recognized as the leading agritourism destination globally
01:25with mga various farm offering unique experiences.
01:30At lalo po itong pinagtibay ng Republic Act 10816 o yung Farm Tourism Development Act of 2016
01:39kung saan po naglalayon itong batas na ito na magkaroon ng legal framework
01:44ang development at promotion ng farm tourism dito sa Pilipinas.
01:49Well, ma'am, isa sa mga naging atraksyong pang agroturism ng Los Baños
01:55ay yung Seeds and Seedlings Plaza.
01:58Paano po ba ito nagsimula at ano yung layunin nito sa industriya ng agroturism sa Los Baños?
02:04Yes po, bali ang Seeds and Seedlings or mas kilala po siya as SNS Plaza
02:11dito po sa Bureau of Plant Industry Los Baños ay na itatag noon pong 2018 pa.
02:19Bali, ang SNS Plaza po ay isa sa mga na-transform na SciCut Farms
02:25o yung Science and Technology for the Convergence of Agriculture and Tourism.
02:31Itong SciCut po ay programa na initiated po ng DOSTP card
02:36na sumusuporta nga po sa agroturism at initially yung goal po ng SNS Plaza
02:42ay masuportahan po yung mandato ng Bureau of Plant Industry
02:47na makapag-produce, makapag-provide po ng mga quality seeds and planting materials
02:53at mag-demonstrate ng technologies.
02:55Through SciCut approach nga po, naging bahagi na ng layunin ng SNS Plaza
03:02ang makapag-educate, makapag-train ng mga visitors, ng mga turista
03:07sa iba't-ibang mga dinademonstrate nga po nating package of technologies
03:13yung mga pinapromote natin na teknolohiya sa SNS Plaza
03:17Habang nagpo-provide po tayo ng fun, ng mga recreational activities
03:21and nurturing green experiences sa ating mga visitors
03:26kaya yun po, na-consider ang SNS Plaza talaga as one of the farm tourism site
03:34dito po sa Las Baños
03:36na nagpo-provide ng mga informasyon kung paano po ma-diversify ang farmer's income
03:42Talking about the technology, Mama, ano po ang mga teknolohiyang matutuklasan
03:48ng mga bisita sa SNS Plaza na makatutulong po sa mga magsasaka
03:52at mga negosyante sa sektor po ng agrikultura?
03:57Excited po kami na i-share sa inyo na sa kasalukuyan
04:03Meron po kaming labing tatlong package of technologies na pinapromote
04:09Ito po yung mga teknolohiya na na-develop ng mga researchers
04:13na ginawa po ng Bureau of Plant Industry
04:17at ng iba pa po mga research institutions dito sa Pilipinas
04:21So, kabilang po dito yung organic production
04:25since ang SNS Plaza po ay organic-based
04:28and then we also promote po yung herbs production
04:32black pepper production
04:34field legumes
04:36featuring po yung mga mung bean, soybean, peanut
04:40then edible landscaping
04:42syempre po yung ating urban agriculture
04:45kung saan finifeature natin yung mga container gardening
04:48we also have po yung dragon fruit production
04:51oyster mushroom cultivation technology
04:55then leafy vegetable under low net tunnel
05:00nagpo-promote din po tayo on hydroponics
05:04and protective cultivation
05:05at yung ating pong garlic production
05:08at meron din po tayong pinapromote na
05:12fruit vegetable grafting technology
05:14so, hindi lang po mga fruit crops yung ginagraft
05:19we also have the technology for the vegetable grafting
05:22and then yung mga traditional vegetables
05:25and fruits po ng Pilipinas
05:27So, yun po yung ilan sa mga teknolohiyang makikita sa palasa
05:31Okay po ma'am, ano po ba yung mga hakbang
05:34na ginagawa ng CICAT at ang DABPI
05:37upang matiyak yung pagpapanatilin ng mga inisyatibang ito
05:41at mapalawak pa yung mga beneficiary to sa mga magsasaka
05:44at iba pang sektor ng agrikultura?
05:47Gaya nga po nung mga nabanggit ko po kanina
05:53na ang SNS Plaza po, nagsaserve siya ngayon
05:55as one of the farm tourism site dito sa Los Baños
06:00So, bukod po sa nagpo-provide tayo ng
06:04nagsashare tayo ng mga knowledge, ng information
06:07nagkakapasitate po tayo ng mga skills
06:11we developed the skills po ng mga farmers
06:14or other visitors po na pumupunta sa plasa
06:17Nagli-lead din po kasi ng creation and employment
06:21ang farm tourism at mga entrepreneurship opportunities po
06:27habang nagpo-promote at nag-showcase po tayo
06:30ng mga sustainable agriculture technologies
06:33na na-develop po dito sa ating bansa
