00:09which is carmy cat rescue society in milltown i'm debbie mazella hey thank you so much for
00:14watching our latest kitty corner video here at magic 983.com there is so much to talk about so
00:20we're just going to do a deep dive right in and we are going to start with cats that are running
00:25around crazy catching my peripheral vision but i'm going to tell you all about the events that
00:30are coming up starting right after thanksgiving at the asbury fresh holiday market at bell works
00:35it's in homedale from 11 to 4 you can come by buy some merch support karma cat and just see what
00:41their crafters have been up to adorable things also december 7th which is a cater day it is the winter
00:48pop-up market at town and country inn in keyport that is also from 11 to 4 and my favorite thing
00:55the jewelry fundraiser which is coming up and these earrings are from one of their jewelry
00:59fundraisers it was actually a couple of years ago but they are making mom and dad cat rings so you can
01:05check the karma cat socials and also their website to get all the info but i know i think i've got a
01:11couple of fingers that'll look really cute with a little cornell and taylor ring on them we have so
01:17much more to talk about so we are going to turn it over to lauren and she is going to give you all the
01:22scoop on how you can support karma cat and you don't even have to step foot inside the rescue
01:27or should we say haw inside the rescue so getting into the holiday season we have lots of opportunities
01:33to help out as always we have opportunities to sponsor our townhouses and apartments here at the
01:40adoption center those are our enclosures where the different kitties live it's a monthly donation that
01:46comes in just to help make sure that all of our cats are well fed and cared for clean litter all those
01:52good things and also we are always on the lookout for volunteers to add to our team we have a great
02:00team here at karma cat rescue society we need all kinds of different volunteers from socializers to
02:07come in and play with the kitties to cleaners who help keep our adoption center clean and make sure
02:12that the kitties are all fed we need people to help with fundraising and event planning we need help
02:19with our merchandise and crafting team our social media team and as i always like to point out we can
02:25always use more fosters if you've got a spare room or a little extra love in your heart and you can open
02:31up some space in your home we've got plenty of kitties who would love to stay with you while they're
02:37waiting to find their forever home i'm going to turn it over to jason who's got some very exciting news
02:42about another volunteer opportunity that we have available hi yeah one of the ways that i volunteer
02:47here at karma cat is through our board of directors i'm on the board of directors it's a very meaningful
02:53experience for me it's a great way to help support the organization contribute to the leadership of
03:00this non-profit and help secure the future of this great institution which helps so many not only cats
03:09but also families throughout our region become happier and give a healthy and happy life to these
03:15very little friends of ours so we do have a couple of openings on the board of directors for next year
03:22so if you are interested in helping with the organization in that way visit our website and reach

03:35to point out that not only are you on the board of directors but you've also sponsored one of the
03:41condos here so you and your wife and your cat that you adopted from karma cat your names are on there so we
03:47thank you for that and i just want to go back to the board of directors for just a second i just want you
03:52to kind of talk to our audience about um what is involved being on the board of directors sure so it's really
03:59as much of a commitment as you'd like it to be we have meetings that occur about every other month
04:06both in person and over zoom we also help contribute to the fundraising efforts of the organization
04:15we provide the strategic leadership for the organization long-term planning and also serve in a variety of
04:24ways on different committees like finance committee fundraising volunteers and just help ensure that
04:30the organization is secure and that we're doing all that we can to uh provide great leadership for
04:36um the support of all of the um you know over a hundred volunteers that we have here at karma cat
04:43every year so um that's basically what we do and it's very very meaningful i really wasn't laughing
04:49at jason but behind tom who's filming it was better than the mike tyson fight that happened a couple of
04:55weeks ago uh there was like you know two black cats who i haven't met yet uh wrestling and all of a
05:02sudden i just see this white belly go up in the air so i'm sorry if i was laughing i wasn't no buffering
05:07yeah no delay it was like clear as a bell right in front of me so i apologize for the goofy goofy laughs
05:14that i was doing there so and i saw gina was cracking up too and i heard lauren chuckling
05:19so uh speaking of miss gina she is the one who always tells you about all the featured adoptables
05:25and uh i'm going to turn it over to her as uh these two are scurrying around by our feet so tell us who's
05:32up for adoption who's got the special spotlight for this month this month we have maddie she is a gorgeous
05:39three-year-old tuxedo she is sweet and calm and chill she loves to sit on your lap and cuddle up
05:46with you in bed we also have birdie who is a tuxedo as well she is nine years old she is a chill cat
05:54she's relatively low maintenance she just loves attention she loves to be pet and she loves to hang
06:01out with you and birdie would prefer to be your one and only and moving on from birdie who's in hides
06:07of hands we have the our last featured adoptable and that is scooter and scooter is five years old
06:14he is also a tuxedo we have three tuxedos for your uh pleasure this month and scooter is very chill
06:22he does well either on his own as a single cat or with a cat buddy or two he loves to play and he loves
06:32to be with his humans and he would probably make an excellent addition to just about any home and
06:39those are our featured adoptables for the month i really feel that this has been just such a great
06:45stress relief video for a week that has felt like it's three weeks long i don't know if you guys have
06:50felt that way but this has just been so much fun so we thank you so much for watching our latest
