The 29th Annual Webby Awards have officially announced their winners, honoring excellence across websites, apps, advertising, video, and social media. Uniquely, each category has two winners: one chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and another by public vote — the People’s Voice Award. A hallmark of the show? Winners give acceptance speeches in just five words. This year’s honorees include icons like Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Simone Biles, and Snoop Dogg, who was named Webby Entrepreneur of the Year for his innovation and cultural impact. 00:04Let's break down some of those who were recognized this year.

00:07According to reports, each year since 1996, the Webby Awards recognizes excellence in websites,

00:14videos, mobile apps, advertising, and social media, all judged by the International Academy

00:19of Digital Arts and Science, a group of over 3,000 innovators and internet professionals.

00:25But what makes the Webby Awards so unique? Well, unlike most award shows,

00:29the Webby's have two winners from each category, one selected by the Academy and one chosen by

00:34Public Vote, known as a People's Voice Award. And here's something fun, winners only get five words

00:40to give their acceptance speech.

00:41I only get five words. That was five.

00:47This year's winners list include icons like Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Simone Biles, and Snoop Dogg,

00:53who was named Webby Entrepreneur of the Year for what the Academy called, quote,

00:57trailblazing innovation, genre-defying branding, and unmatched contributions to digital commerce

01:03and culture, in reference to Snoop's cannabis and alcohol brands, along with his work with

01:07Death Row Records. Big name brands showed up too, including Nike, Netflix, Apple, and for the first

01:13time ever, Google, which was name brand of the year. But the Webby's continue to show they're not

01:18just about household names, as there's a whole section dedicated to the creators who are making a

01:23difference. One standout? Astronaut Kelly Girardi, who shares her journey as a mom,

01:29wife, and scientist, and recently opened up about her IVF experience and won the People's Voice Award
