00:00I am absolutely dying to know what the real number of apps that the average person has on their phone is
00:06because I just did the math on my phone during that song, and I think my number is astronomically high.
00:16All right, we want to know from you. Let's do a quick people poll, checking out the Pulse of the Carolinas.
00:21I found an artist.
00:23Hold on, before you get into that, tell me your number.
00:25Well, I was going to tell you when I got to the average number of apps that people have on their phone.
00:29All right, I'll wait.
00:30So Business Insider just put this information out, and of course, like these days, we all count on our phones more than anything else in our life,
00:38and we can't do without them for like five minutes.
00:41But 27% of Americans say that they have over 30 apps on their phone.
00:48Over 30.
00:49Over 30.
00:4927%.
00:50Yes.
00:51That's not that high of a number.
00:52I don't think so either.
00:53I have like 30 on my first page.
00:57Okay.
00:57All right.
00:58I don't want to tell you my number, though, until you tell me how many are on your phone.
01:01How do you have 30?
01:01Because you have that one thing with a bunch of apps in it?
01:04Yes.
01:04Okay.
01:04I categorize, because I'm so type A.
01:08Yeah, I'm not.
01:08My apps are absolutely all over the place.
01:11Mine's all organized.
01:12But if you're doing the math, there's four apps per row, and there's six rows on each page.
01:18So I did, I have eight pages of apps, plus I do have a couple of stragglers.
01:27So I have just about 210 apps.
01:31Get out of here.
01:32You have eight pages of apps?
01:34Yes.
01:35Do I have more than you?
01:36Yes.
01:36I do?
01:37Yes.
01:38I didn't, I, there is no way I thought you would beat me in the app game.
01:43Are you sure you're counting all the ones you have hidden?
01:45Yes.
01:45Or not hidden, but in the, in the little app thing that holds all the other apps?
01:49Uh-huh.
01:50I went through every single one, like, and per, like, individually counted it.
01:55Not like did the six rows times four.
01:58How many pages do you have?
01:59I only have five pages of apps.
02:03Oh, I got eight.
02:03But they're organized.
02:04Five and a half.
02:05So how many apps do you have?
02:07179.
02:08Oh, I beat you.
02:09Yes.
02:09By, like, a good bit.
02:11I mean, I have, so I'll tell you, my first app that you see when you open my phone is
02:16text messages.
02:18And then I have Insta, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube all on the first page.
02:23Weather, right?
02:24And then you go down, like, just randomly, like, I have the MeTV app.
02:29I have the Ulta app.
02:31I have kids' YouTube app.
02:32I have the Ulta app.
02:33I have the Buffalo Wild Wings app.
02:35Hold on.
02:36Can we just back up for a second?
02:37Why do you have an Ulta app on your phone?
02:38I don't know.
02:38I guess, like, because Amanda used it one time.
02:41Okay.
02:41I have the Chick-fil-A app.
02:42I have apps I clearly don't use.
02:44So you don't ever delete any of your apps.
02:46House Party?
02:47No idea.
02:48Remember we used it once?
02:49Oh, maybe that's for, like, phones, right?
02:51Like, phone calls?
02:53I think it is.
02:54Yeah.
02:54It's like a party line.
02:55Like the old school party lines.
02:57Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:57Airport Scanner game.
03:02I have the Lifetime Fitness app, DraftKings Among Us, which is a game that Dean plays.
03:08Zelle, the Roku remote control app.
03:12And then on my last page, I have Park & Go app because I just parked at the airport.
03:19I have Skyview Light, which I love.
03:23You hold it up to the stars and it tells you what you're looking at.
03:26So let me ask you something because.
03:28Embrace pet insurance app?
03:30I mean, not at all.
03:32Like, all of my TV apps are in one folder.
03:35So, like, my HBO Go, my Netflix.
03:38I don't have time to put it all.
03:40No way.
03:41How do you find them?
03:41I kind of have an idea.
03:44I kind of have an idea where they are.
03:45Like, my SiriusXM app is randomly, like, on the sixth page down on the right.
03:50And I just remember that.
03:51Everything that I use every day is on my first page.
03:55A lot of people have 100 plus.
03:58143 apps.
03:59Somebody said I have 148, but I really don't use half of them.
04:02Yeah.
04:02Somebody has 93 on their homepage.
04:05I have 168 apps, 61 apps, 106 apps.
04:09Well, maybe I think you beat everybody.
04:12I mean, you guys must really clean your phones up if you don't use the apps, huh?
04:16I do clean my phone up.
04:17But then what happens is then it moves the other apps around and then I lose track on
04:22where my apps are.
04:23Right.
04:24That is true.
04:25The other part to this survey was that even though you have all these apps, you probably
04:30only use 10 or less every day.
04:34That's probably true.
04:35Probably.
04:36Okay.
04:36Well, there you go.
04:37Big surprise in the morning.
04:38I'm beating everybody with the amount of apps I have.
04:41Bravo.
04:41I thought for sure you had like 300.
04:42Me too.
04:43Something obnoxious.
04:44Ha ha ha.
04:44Ha ha.
04:44Ha ha.
04:44Ha ha.
04:44Ha ha ha.
04:44Ha ha ha.
