00:00Former Federal Territories Minister Khaled Samad is demanding an apology from actress Rafida Ibrahim over her claims that he was looking to disband the Malay Agricultural Settlement Board.

00:11The board is responsible for managing designated land in Kampung Baru, which comprises seven villages and was officially gazetted as a Malay Agricultural Settlement in 1950.

00:20Khaled said he had no choice but to resort to legal action to put an end to the claims, as Rafida would otherwise continue posting videos about them on TikTok.

00:29The TikTok video showed Rafida going around Kampung Sungai Baru and pleading with residents to oppose the redevelopment plans in the Malay Enclave.

00:38Meanwhile, Titi Wangse MP Johari Ghani is expected to hold a press conference about the issue later this week.

00:44Johari, the Plantation and Commodities Minister, said he would be inviting the residents and NGOs to the press conference.

00:51The redevelopment of Kampung Sungai Baru, which would see land acquisition involving 67 terrace houses and 14 apartment blocks,

00:58generated polemics due to dissatisfaction by a group of residents over the compensation offered.

01:04Last year, Federal Territories Minister Dr. Zaleha Mustafa told the Dewan Rakia that the compensation was based on the value of the property,
