00:00Hooked up by 1-800-ASK-GARY.
00:02Now, who's taking the stand?
00:04It is I, Orlando.
00:05I will tell y'all, one look, nugget of information.
00:11For some reason, as much Law & Order SVU that I watch,
00:16Jen finally caught it at the beginning of an episode.
00:19Like after that first scene when it's like,
00:21and she looks up and says,
00:24hey, ain't that y'all song?
00:26I'm like, no.
00:28Oh, hey.
00:30I'm like, boy, it really don't get past you.
00:34I didn't know that, to be real with you.
00:36What?
00:37You didn't know that?
00:38We took it from Ted.
00:39That's what he and Mark Wahlberg love to sit and smoke out and watch SVU.
00:45So he was like, dum-dum, and he started saying it.
00:47That's where I took that from.
00:49I never caught that reference.
00:50Yo, you just thought that was a catchy little beat.
00:53Right, yeah.
00:53Hey, no, God, that's a jingle.
00:55Like, wow.
00:56You've never watched one SVU?
00:57Never, not one.
00:58Oh, my God.
01:00See, I mean, I've been to law school.
01:01That's wrong with you.
01:02I've been to law school, courtesy of SVU.
01:04All right, so three questions from in the room,
01:06three questions from the listening audience.
01:09I have now closed down all my socials,
01:12so I can't see what y'all texted in.
01:14So who is first?
01:16That would be me.
01:17That would be Davito over here.
01:19So, okay, my question is kind of like a follow-up from Friday.
01:23Friday we were talking about the whole fiasco going on at your house
01:26with your daughter wanting to do homeschool,
01:28and you were kind of like the enemy at the house.
01:30Yeah.
01:30Today's the first day of school.
01:32I just want to know, how is it at home?
01:34Was there any compromises made?
01:37Did it spill over?
01:38Are they still mad at you?
01:39How is it?
01:40Uh, I mean, how long do I have?
01:45It's still some blankery, I'll tell you that.
01:47I mean, all right, here's, so first day of school,
01:50you know, my daughter's still going to school.
01:53Like, it's not virtual school.
01:55Mind you, first day of school,
01:58my daughter's flying to San Diego for four days.
02:00What?
02:01Because some modeling thing that her mother has her in.
02:04So she's going to be virtually in school
02:06because she's got her school work
02:08given to her for the week already.
02:10What?
02:11Wow.
02:12We'll respect education in the household.
02:14Just to let you know.
02:15Like, yeah, that don't happen.
02:16Did you try to put your foot down with that
02:17or was it an opportunity?
02:18No, I found out yesterday.
02:23My daughter was telling her grandfather,
02:25he's like, so you going to San Diego?
02:27And she's like, yeah.
02:28I'm like, when you going to San Diego?
02:29She's like, tomorrow.
02:31I was like, tomorrow's the first day of school.
02:32She's like, I'm like, who are you going with?
02:35She's like, mommy.
02:36I'm like, okay.
02:37Wow.
02:37Wow.
02:38Wow.
02:39So are you still the enemy in the house?
02:41No, no.
02:42Honestly, like Friday night, they want, they,
02:44they, I don't know.
02:46I didn't, I didn't ask.
02:47I mean, this is a long answer for one question,
02:49so we're going to have to speed it up.
02:51But I didn't ask,
02:53but I thought that they may have heard about
02:55or heard my, like, dissertation about how I felt.
03:00Right.
03:00Or either, like, my,
03:01because they wanted to be up on me Friday.
03:03Like, Friday, they sat with me,
03:06wanted to watch a movie with me.
03:07Like, they were planning to watch a movie with their mom,
03:10and I went upstairs to get ready to play video games,
03:13and they came upstairs and, like, sat next to me,
03:15and I was like, what's up?
03:16What'd you do?
03:17And then, like, I'm like, what'd you do?
03:20And then, all of a sudden,
03:21Coming to America was on,
03:22and I was like, oh, this is funny.
03:23Watch this.
03:23This is a funny scene,
03:25and with the wipers,
03:26and they got locked in and wanted to watch it.
03:28And then started looking at my Jerry Curl pictures
03:30with the Soul Glow pictures and stuff.
03:32So it ended up being a big night,
03:34and I think they might have felt some type of way
03:35about me feeling like I was the enemy.
03:38Okay.
03:38So they're good.
03:39That's good.
03:40But, yeah, I'm still in the middle of the bludgeoning.
03:41Oh, man.
03:42I am.
03:43Well, keep us updated about that.
03:44Yeah, please do.
03:44All right, let's see.
03:45Meredith, you're next.
03:46Yeah, so I was just thinking about something
03:49a little bit silly.
03:50So what do you think,
03:52out of everything in the entire world,
03:53anything you've ever experienced and been through,
03:55what do you think is the best feeling
03:57in the entire world for you?
04:03What's the best feeling?
04:04What is the best feeling?
04:05Like a physical feeling?
04:06Yeah, something you feel.
04:07In my lifetime, the best feeling.
04:09It could be love.
04:10It could be being full after a delicious meal.
04:12Oh, I thought you meant like feeling,
04:14like an actual feeling, like, you know, like.
04:16Like felt.
04:17Yeah.
04:17You know, like metal.
04:18I mean, because there's a whole bunch.
04:19There's a list.
04:20I'll tell you.
04:21I mean, I'll keep it 100.
04:22When we went to Vegas and we stayed at the wind
04:26and they send you these phantoms to pick you up
04:30when you're like one of them people.
04:31And they had mink, mink, car mats, floor mats.
04:37And I remember moving my shoe around saying,
04:40damn, this is the best feeling floor mats
04:43I've ever felt in my life.
04:44So I took my shoe off.
04:45It was like, oh, my Jesus.
04:47It felt so good.
04:49Yeah.
04:49Right?
04:50Conversely, when I was a kid
04:52and my mom used to call me over to the side of the pool
04:54and say, boy, come take your medicine.
04:57And I had to take my inhaler so I didn't get a hazmatack.
04:59I used to take it.
05:00And I would be standing right in front of that jet
05:02in front of the pool.
05:03And it blew out the water.
05:05And it would just tickle.
05:08It didn't blow up your...
05:10Okay, so it's going up your shorts.
05:12I mean, when you're 13, 14, that's fun.
05:15You love the side of the pool.
05:18That's a feeling I can never get away from.
05:18Okay, so you're like mink floor mats and fans.
05:21Mink floor mats.
05:22Water jets.
05:22Yeah, water jets.
05:24Water jets.
05:25Yeah.
05:26And then another thing was like best feeling
05:28was watching my daughters like come in.
05:31Like watching them like that whole process.
05:33Being born.
05:33Kind of forget the poop and everything else that you see.
05:35You see your kid coming in.
05:37So that's it.
05:38Nice.
05:39All right, Marcus.
05:40Orlando, I want to know,
05:43do you have somebody in your life like right now
05:45that thinks you guys are friends,
05:47but you're really not friends with them?
05:50Someone who you just totally play off, man,
05:54but they really think maybe they're in your inner circle
05:56and you probably keep them around
05:58just to maybe keep tabs on them a little bit.
06:02It's got to be someone.
06:03Because you know a lot of people.
06:06And I know you're not friends at all.
06:10I plead the fifth.
06:12I plead the fifth.
06:14Five.
06:15One, two, three, four, five.
06:17Yeah, yeah, we ain't going into them areas right there.
06:20We're going to leave that one alone.
06:21Good job, bud.
06:21That's what's up.
06:22It's hard.
06:23That's not easy.
06:23We wide open now.
06:26Wow.
06:26All right, but okay, yeah.
06:29You can ask the tough questions to you now
06:31because you pled the fifth.
06:32Uh-uh.
06:33Uh-uh, call it.
06:34All right.
06:36So I got to go to the listeners now.
06:38Yes.
06:38I've used my plea.
06:40I still got my boomerang to give.
06:42Yeah.
06:43All right, we'll do it after LMA.
06:44Hold on.
06:45Pleading the fifth goes on.
06:46We have one on the line right now.
06:48Haley.
06:49All right, 888-429-0941.
06:51Haley, you got a question.
06:52All right, Orlando, I want to know why you hired Davi, Mark, and Meredith, like, individually.
06:59Like, what did you like about them?
07:02Okay.
07:03Uh, let's see.
07:06Um, starting with Davi, uh, I hired Davi because he was, he was a hustler.
07:15I mean, he wouldn't leave.
07:17Like, he was just running around, like, doing everything, kind of like, there are people who
07:21have asked the questions about how you got, where you got, and then they just commit to
07:26doing it.
07:26And he was one of them who came in and was like, yo, I'm going to take pictures.
07:30I'm going to be in the room.
07:31I'm whatever.
07:32You need me to carry this box.
07:33I'll carry this box.
07:33And so when opportunity came about and you look around the room, you see the dude over
07:37there just standing like, hey, you got another box for me to carry?
07:39Like, all right, you're going to give him a couple of dollars and say, hey, do your thing.
07:43So that was kind of how he came about.
07:45Meredith, uh, came from, uh, another show and then, uh, joined us in here in the building
07:52with our sports station, uh, just changing it up from what she
07:56was doing.
07:57And, uh, me and her got a chance to start talking and then I had an opportunity and
08:02she came in and she wore these, these shorts.
08:05Daisy Dukes.
08:06She wore some Daisy Dukes to the, to the chat.
08:08And I was like, what are you doing?
08:11Yo, but she was killing it.
08:13All right.
08:13But, uh, no, we had a good talking.
08:15So we put our, put our hurry in.
08:16And then, uh, Marcus came through with our connection with our sister station in
08:22Chicago because he was there and, uh, was like relocating or.
08:26We're doing whatever.
08:27And, uh, it kind of came across my desk through Brian Thomas, I think it was.
08:32Yeah.
08:32So, so like everybody kind of came through on that level and, uh, just, you know, built
08:37it up and got this energy, like the way we got it.
08:39So that's how they all got into this radio menudo.
08:43All right.
08:44Uh, let's see here.
08:45Uh, we got one more.
08:47I got one more, two more, uh, out the eight, one, three.
08:50This was text in.
08:50It says, Orlando, have you ever saved anybody on the freak show or at wild from getting
08:56fired or maybe their contract not getting renewed because corporate really didn't want
09:00to keep them?
09:00Yes.
09:01Oh, yeah.
09:02Gang up.
09:02Ooh.
09:03He's like everybody.
09:05I mean, yeah, trust me.
09:07There, there, there are people, there are people like, I mean, there's too many to name,
09:11but that's in my job.
09:13My job is to go to corporate and be like, listen, there's, these people are essential
09:16and they're going to be like, yo, we ain't paying.
09:19And I'm like, well, you know, we got to figure something out.
09:22I mean, that's just, that's the back and forth that goes with the program director job.
09:26Cause a lot of people think it's just picking music, but it's, you know, I mean, every, every,
09:30I mean, hell right now, like Buckwheat's contracts on my desk, you know, I got to present
09:35it to him today, you know, uh, stiffies.
09:37I presented him his like four weeks ago.
09:40Um, you know, it's just like everybody is, it's always a process.
09:44Yours comes up in December.
09:45Yours comes up in December.
09:46Like, you know what I'm saying?
09:48Those are things that, you know, my assistant knows as soon as that hits her calendar, she
09:52hits me like, yo, like we're three months out.
09:55We're six months out.
09:56Like, you know, so it's a process and everything, but, but yeah, sometimes, and, and I know
10:01some of the people who have been let go, um, I covered for and like had them stay
10:06and stay and stay until corporate was like, yo, this person got to go.
10:09We understand you want to keep them, but they, they're a liability or whatever.
10:14Not working.
10:14They've had, they've had to go.
10:15Yeah.
10:16Yeah.
10:16So that's that.
10:18I have a last question.
10:20Does anybody have?
10:20Okay.
10:20Go for it.
10:21I'll do it.
10:21Um, uh, Orlando, I love seeing your family on 90 day fiance.
10:25Tell me some behind the scenes information.
10:27Don't know who that family is.
10:30Is your sister-in-law's husband really that mean?
10:36And you're out of please.
10:38I'm out of please.
10:40Um, I mean, I, I tell y'all all the time, I don't, I don't rock with the show, you know,
10:47I just, cause I mean, my job is here.
10:50So I don't, I really not, I'm not trying to be because I think that whole show puts you
10:55in a much different space.
10:57I've met the audience.
10:58The audience knows me.
10:59So if I went on a show that was not necessarily true and then let them edit up some way of me,
11:07people would be looking at me like I've known Orlando and wow forever.
11:10But now I see him on TV and he's like 180 degrees this way because they have the control of it
11:15because they do take a lot of creative license.
11:18And, uh, I think, you know, without, I try not to talk about it much.
11:22Cause I mean, I, I mentioned something just in side passing, not knowing it was a thing.
11:26Cause I really don't follow the show or their involvement in it.
11:29I don't, I never watch it or any of that.
11:31Um, and then they got, you know, we still, to this point, we don't talk like, I mean,
11:36straight up one, one, one, keeping an absolutely one thou.
11:39I don't talk to my sister-in-law or anymore because of what happened.
11:44Yeah.
11:45Wow.
11:45Like we was at, we was at a function yesterday.
11:48I haven't talked to them.
11:49Wow.
11:50Just like, hello, goodbye.
11:52Not even that.
11:53Not even that.
11:54Is there a lot of discomfort or it's not even discomfort.
11:56It's gotten to the point where everybody just understand.
11:58It's like, yo, they don't really mess with each other.
12:02I mean, and I've seen them fight over the show.
12:05It's like the reality TV shows do divisive things to family.
12:11Yes.
12:11Like somebody ain't getting enough camera time.
12:13Some people got on a better dress.
12:14Some people, I've seen all these fights go on and I'm just like, yo, this is the blankery
12:19that I was talking about.
12:20Why I didn't want my family or my kid, but I don't get to choose that.
12:23This is their thing.
12:24So let them do their thing.
12:26But as far as, as far as, uh, as far as me being on it, no.
12:32As far as it being real, no.
12:34Uh, as far as him being how they portray him on the show, no.
12:38Uh, but now I know I did.
12:40He scared the hell.
12:41I will tell y'all one thing.
12:42He scared the hell out of my mama one day.
12:44Cause he has, he speaks like, uh, in his very native accent.
12:49So he could tell you like, how, how are you today?
12:52Like, but because he says it like, how are you today?
12:54You know, like you're very harsh.
12:56It sounds like you're challenged.
12:57And so he pulled out a chair for my mom to sit down.
13:00Yeah.
13:00And, but he said, sit.
13:02You know, my mother was like, oh, okay.
13:06She was like, let me sit my ass down.
13:09But he was being kind to her and saying, please have a seat.
13:13But in his verbiage is no sit.
13:16Yeah.
13:16And she was like, okay.
13:18So, you know, it is what it is.
13:20But yeah, we, you know, I don't know if it's going to ever get to that point where it's
13:23going to be cool.
13:23Cause I don't like how they, you know, I don't, I don't like how the, the limelight is twisting
13:29people and making that about the thing.
13:31Cause I'm shocked to hear that y'all aren't good after that.
13:34It's not really supposed to be like that.
13:35Cause they weren't good with a few people, but they mended it up with everything else.
13:39But I'm like, yo, like I'm owed an apology and I was going to let it go.
13:45And I always let it go.
13:46And I'm like, you know what?
13:47I don't really got it.
13:48Like concede on this.
13:49Is this, I'm sorry.
13:50Cause you do have a few sister-in-laws.
13:51Um, is this one that lived with you for a while?
13:53Yeah.
13:54Okay.
13:54The one that lived with me for like 18 months.
13:56With the dog?
13:56With the dog.
13:57Right.
13:57With the dog.
13:57That was all, that was giving me an asthma attack every day.
14:00Right.
14:00Like I've been through a lot with this one.
14:02So I was like, yo, I thought you would be a little bit more 100 than what you have been.
14:06And then you got this like new dude and it became a, that became the thing.
14:10I'm like, but when you was homeless, like, okay.
14:13So yeah.
14:14So I'm like, you can't, I don't, I'm not going to allow you to do me wrong twice.
14:18Okay.
14:18So I got to like pause back.
14:20Gotcha.
14:20All right.
14:21So what's your best feeling?
14:22I'm flipping this back to y'all.
14:23Oh, uh, wow.
14:24Mine's that, I mean, it's that old moment.
14:30Yeah.
14:31That moment.
14:32I don't know what moment you speak of.
14:34Yeah.
14:34What are you talking about?
14:35What's that old moment?
14:36That's like such a gimme, dude.
14:38But I mean, it's cause it's true.
14:40I mean, you even looked up in the sky.
14:42Cause it's true.
14:43Really?
14:44Okay.
14:44That's the thing.
14:45That's your best feeling?
14:46That absolutely.
14:46That old moment.
14:47All right.
14:48I didn't know that was an option.
14:49I guess I can add to my list.
14:50Yeah.
14:51Meredith, what's your best feeling ever?
14:53Best feeling ever is when I'm with my daughter and we're just talking, but she looks at me out
14:59of nowhere and she just says, I love you.
15:02That is good.
15:03And it's not, I didn't say it first.
15:05It's not, we were just, and she just says it to me and she looks at me with those eyes
15:08and I'm just like, oh my God, you are so good.
15:11You know what?
15:12You know what?
15:12I would always feel that way.
15:14And what was it?
15:15Like two days ago, my daughter kissed me and she said, I love you, daddy.
15:18And I was like, I don't have no money.
15:20I don't have nothing.
15:22I don't know.
15:22And everybody laughed until they thought I was joking.
15:24I was like, no, I know you set me up for something.
15:27So when they get older, it ain't as cute.
15:28Okay.
15:29Mine would be, I mean, all right.
15:31It's like a tie between, yeah, the O moment, but when I go back to South Carolina and I
15:36open up like the garage door to get in the house and I just smell the smell of like my
15:41place, I'm like, yo, this is a spot.
