00:00Hooked up by 1-800-ASK-GARY.
00:02Now, who's taking the stand?
00:04Well, it is me.
00:08Tis high.
00:10There you are.
00:11So, let's see.
00:13It's time to play Plead the Fifth.
00:14It's where you get to learn about us, and today is my turn.
00:18So, they get to ask me three questions, and I get one pass,
00:22and I only get one, and I got to do three from the audience, too.
00:26And your text is shut down over there, right?
00:27Text is shut down.
00:29I mean, it's shut down.
00:30He's not looking at it.
00:31He's good.
00:32It's on the promo suite.
00:34Okay.
00:35All right.
00:35So, Davi, you are first in the clockwise rule.
00:38Okay, Orlando.
00:39We hear you do a lot of endorsements from Golden Diamond Source,
00:44I believe Spectrum Business.
00:45You had McDonald's for a really long time.
00:47I want to know about an endorsement that was offered to you
00:51that for one reason or another you just didn't want to take.
00:56Hmm.
00:56Oh.
00:56Oh, an endorsement that I, well, I mean.
00:59Something you just didn't want to promote.
01:01You don't want me to, you don't want me to say the business.
01:03No, or you could just kind of glance over it.
01:05I mean, or you could plead the fifth.
01:07That's always an option, too.
01:08Yes.
01:08I don't want to use that already.
01:11Let's see.
01:12I mean, there have been a few things that have been offered to me, like,
01:16health-wise.
01:17Like, stuff like, you know, like, whether it was, like, medicine or something
01:20or some sort of kind of supplement or whatever.
01:23And I'm never really down with that because I do think we got a power of
01:27persuasion.
01:28Like, with people, you know, like, when I did the Eat Right thing, I just did it.
01:32And then people saw it and was like, yo, what's going on?
01:35Like, what are you doing?
01:36And so they were interested.
01:37That's much better.
01:38But I never want to do a health thing where somebody can get hurt or somebody
01:42could take some sort of supplement and something happened.
01:45And then they're like, I took it because Orlando said so.
01:48Well, you can get sued that way.
01:50Well, no.
01:50I mean, the companies can get sued.
01:52But I don't, not me as an agent, just as an endorser.
01:56It would be they would go after the company.
01:58They wouldn't go after the middleman.
01:59But I just don't like the fact that people would be able to tie me to it
02:03and my influence would make somebody end up getting it hurt.
02:06So you'll never really hear me do a medical thing.
02:10That's just something I've never done.
02:11Well, that's good.
02:12Yeah.
02:12But they offer a lot, especially when the magic pills start coming out.
02:15Oh, my God.
02:17Every magic pill, they always email me something.
02:19Like, hey, we got this pill that does this.
02:20We got this pill that does this.
02:21I'm like, well, you can keep them pills.
02:24Nah, player.
02:25All right, you're next.
02:26Okay.
02:26Okay, all things equal with Mark and Davi.
02:31Oh, God.
02:32All things equal, meaning if they're both single.
02:34Who do you think, if they went out, like, has the most game in here?
02:37Who can pull the most chicks?
02:39You know, who do you think has the better game?
02:42You know, I want to know.
02:44I mean, it's, it's, it's, it's, why are you going to make me do that?
02:48Oh, I'm making you.
02:49Just out of them two?
02:50Just out of them two.
02:53Who got the most game?
02:54Yeah, single, going out.
02:56Well, to me, game is, game is not just sealing the deal, but it's kind of how you get it.
03:03Mm-hmm.
03:05And, and I know Mark does big numbers.
03:10And, and Davi in his heyday did big numbers.
03:13You know, he's in a relationship now.
03:15But say, say they're single right now.
03:17Right.
03:17And they went out.
03:19That's what I'm saying, though.
03:20Like, when I remember, like, Davi's been at the dumpster.
03:23That's his story.
03:24Oh, my God.
03:25I'll never live that down.
03:26No, you will never.
03:27He's never going to live down hooking up at a dumpster.
03:29It is my favorite story.
03:30But then again, I mean, Miller Lite, Mike over here got many of them stories that we all
03:34hear about all the time.
03:36So, I would say out of game, game, I would have to give it to Dot.
03:43Yeah.
03:44Yeah.
03:44Game recognized game.
03:46That's what it is.
03:47Bad game recognized game.
03:48That's what it is.
03:49Oh, we got both of you.
03:51I'd have to give it to Dot as far as game, because I think he could finesse it a little
03:55bit better.
03:56You don't try and finesse it.
03:57I don't need to finesse it.
03:58That's where the game is.
04:00See how defensive he got?
04:01True, true game.
04:02Mark is mad.
04:03Yeah.
04:04I'm mad.
04:04Mark is mad when he needs a choice.
04:06Yeah.
04:06Like, all right.
04:07Okay.
04:08All right.
04:08That's, yeah.
04:09Well, thank you for answering my question.
04:11Well, I don't like your question.
04:12I hate your questions.
04:13All right.
04:13You're next up, Mark.
04:14So, Orlando, I've been sitting on this one.
04:17It's kind of a clouded question, and I hope you'll be able to answer it.
04:20You are in a position of management here, and you have been for many years.
04:26That means you've known when people are about to be let go or fired.
04:32Sometimes.
04:33Sometimes, yeah.
04:34Tell us about a time and who it was, if you can, because it's already happened, so whatever,
04:42that you knew somebody was getting fired that was close to you.
04:46Oh, no.
04:47And you had to hold back and be around them while you knew what was going to go down and
04:53how hard was it.
04:54Oh, man.
04:55So, what's the question?
04:56You want to, you, I mean, I know the gist of it, but you're asking me the person's
05:00name?
05:01Yeah.
05:03Ah.
05:03And since, you know, if they don't work anymore, it really doesn't matter, right?
05:06I'm sure there's a long list.
05:07I mean, there's a list.
05:08Yeah.
05:09I mean, most people who have gotten, okay.
05:11Um, all right.
05:16Okay.
05:17All right.
05:17One.
05:19Ooh.
05:20Do you want to plead the fifth?
05:21I like this question.
05:22Yeah.
05:22Me too.
05:23Okay.
05:24All right.
05:24There was one, uh, case where, uh.
05:28What was the name?
05:31Um, I mean, it's not bad, but it's like, I remember, okay, so Greg, third leg Greg.
05:38We know Greg.
05:39Greg is the host extraordinaire of everything.
05:42Uh, all things lightning, all things USF Bulls.
05:46I mean, you know, if you got, you know, some flip cup going on at the house, he'll come
05:50by and, and, and moderate.
05:51Right.
05:51And he's, and he was, he was kind of like, that was the, that's the space that I've always
05:57known Greg to be in.
05:57But Greg was one of the original guys here.
06:00Wow.
06:00And Greg started to grow up and, you know, you to stay a while, you got to stay immature.
06:05That's how Dobby's been here so long.
06:07And he started to grow up and kind of graduate into his, you know, business structure and,
06:12and, and getting ready to move into that space.
06:14And, uh, I remember that I was thinking of making a change with him on the air.
06:20Uh, and I, and plus, because I knew that he had these other things that he, he was getting
06:25ready to roll into.
06:26And, um, and I remember we were at a convention and I, and I knew his family very well.
06:32So I'm like, yo, like, and so Pat Riley, this is that story that I always tell y'all about
06:37Pat Riley.
06:38Pat Riley was speaking to us, like, uh, our, our manager meeting and he was taking questions.
06:44And I said, coach, how is it that you can go into somebody's like living room or somebody's
06:50house and tell their parents, like, yo, I'm gonna make your child a star.
06:54We need him and whatever.
06:55And I'm like, you do all these things to get them on the team.
06:57And then you cut them.
06:59I was like, you know, don't you feel some type of way about, about that?
07:03And he said, you got to write this down.
07:04Cause you're going to screw it up.
07:05He's like, the thing that is the thing has to remain the thing.
07:08He's like, I was brought here to the Miami heat, not to make great men like a Tony Dungy
07:12or like, you know, like a, like a big time coach, like red our back.
07:15He's like, I was brought here for a championship.
07:18So anything that I do has to get me towards that championship.
07:21And he's like, and when it doesn't work, I got to cut them and I got to feel, Hey,
07:25you know, I'm still trying to do what I was brought here to do.
07:29The thing that is the thing has to remain the thing.
07:32And he's like, so you can't never tell somebody that, you know,
07:35that that's pulling you off your square, that you got to stick with them just out
07:38of some beholden, you know, kind of thing.
07:40And me not having him stay with us was the best thing for him.
07:45Cause now, I mean, he's got a shelf life.
07:47He could be doing what he's doing forever.
07:48He can be the next Gene Deckerhoff.
07:50Yeah.
07:50You know what I'm saying?
07:51And so, you know, big shout out to 3LG.
07:53Always fan.
07:54Awesome.
07:55Yeah.
07:55I have one from Rob out of the 407.
07:58He says, Orlando, you tend to choose your words very wisely.
08:02Like you explain things very well to people in an effort to avoid
08:05misunderstandings and confrontation.
08:07That being said,
08:08what was the harshest thing you think you've ever said to someone and why?
08:12And do you regret it?
08:18The heart, the harshest, the harshest thing.
08:22I mean, I know there was one recent one that I had and I won't say the charity, but I will
08:33say that I was asked to join a charity's board and I was just kind of hesitant cause I don't
08:41really, I don't have a lot of time.
08:43And so I told them no.
08:44And they were like, no, but you can just join like just in name cause I think having you
08:48there would get a little movement or whatever.
08:50And so they asked me to go to lunch and I'm like, yo, I just wanted to say no.
08:53I didn't want to be involved in it at all.
08:55Uh, but I, but I went to the lunch and the person was just telling me, I need your help
09:01cause my board is this board is that.
09:03And they don't do this and they don't do that.
09:05And it was just a constant like gripe fest about what they, what they had going on.
09:10Wow.
09:10And something just told me just to be, and I told, I said, I was an older lady and I was
09:17like, listen, I'm going to be what we call 100 with you and be 100% honest.
09:22And I'm like, you sound like you own the Titanic asking people to get on board.
09:27I'm like, cause you've just told me like for 30 minutes how this is the worst thing
09:32ever.
09:32I'm like, who would want to come into a burning building?
09:35Like you really made this sound bad.
09:38And she started crying at the lunch.
09:42And so like the waitress came up to like get like the check on the order or whatever
09:47and saw her crying and looked at me like, what'd you do?
09:51Right.
09:52Cause I'm like, I swear it's not me.
09:54You know, but I was just, you know, she was like, no, I get it.
09:58I, you know, I got to work on not saying so much.
10:00I, so I basically lost you.
10:01I'm like, I didn't, I'm like, I didn't want to when I came to the lunch, but I'm like,
10:05I really think that you made it easier for me to say no.
10:09Cause who sounds like you got some drama told me all the dirt.
10:12Right.
10:12Yeah.
10:13So yeah, that was, that was, that was where I said too much.
10:16I should have just kind of fell back a little bit.
10:18Well, I got one for you.
10:19Okay.
10:20Okay.
10:20Orlando, what is your opinion of Davi's rap album?
10:26I have a rap album?
10:28You did.
10:28He has a rap album.
10:29Young Skrilla?
10:31Oh, his, oh, it's, oh, the original.
10:33Yeah.
10:33It was, you know, Davi's rap career.
10:35Okay.
10:36His rap career.
10:37Yeah.
10:37Someone texted that in.
10:39And honestly, we all want to know.
10:41Have you ever heard it?
10:42Um, I mean, I have, cause you, you gave a copy to Brewster.
10:46Did I?
10:46When you first got, I think, I think she got like, somebody got a hold of it or something.
10:51I mean, I honestly, I mean, stop it.
10:55Dude, be honest, Orlando.
10:58What do you mean?
10:59All right.
11:01Mark's calling you out.
11:03Yeah.
11:04Try it, dude.
11:04I, I, um, all right.
11:06Okay.
11:07I, I, I, I see the fifth.
11:09I see the fifth.
11:11Five.
11:12One, two, three, four.
11:14Yeah.
11:14I see the fifth.
11:15It's like that?
11:16Yeah.
11:16It's like that, Davi.
11:18I mean, you know, cause I, I don't, I, yeah, you know, I mean, I, I, Davi is in a great
11:24space where he is, you know, introducing the records.
11:28Yes.
11:28And making other things behind the scenes.
11:31He's getting his cat lit on.
11:32He's putting, he's putting artists together and stuff.
11:33And it led him here.
11:35Exactly.
11:35There you go.
11:36God bless the broken rope.
11:41Wow.
11:42Okay.
11:42All right.
11:42Well, the last one is somebody who's been, uh, holding for a while.
11:45His name is Chris.
11:46Chris is on the line.
11:47All right, Chris, you got a question?
11:48Hey, what's up, Orlando?
11:49Um, yeah, I know you've been in the Tampa area for a long time and I was just wondering
11:54what local news people you think does the best job and which ones you think does the
12:00worst job.
12:01Ooh.
12:01Ooh.
12:02Hey.
12:03Ooh.
12:04Mm, mm, mm.
12:05Wait, what?
12:06Local news person?
12:08Yeah.
12:08Oh, man.
12:09Best and worst.
12:10Best and worst.
12:10Bet you wish you had that please, huh?
12:14Did you want to tell us how bad Davi's rap album was now?
12:19Wow.
12:19Um, all right.
12:21Um, who's the best and who's the worst?
12:24Uh, man.
12:26And I gotta answer it.
12:27Yeah, you do.
12:28Hmm.
12:28Damn.
12:29Um.
12:30Um, I could help you, but I think I'll just sit back.
12:33Twisting in the wind.
12:34Okay, uh, I don't really know who's stealing.
12:40Uh, okay.
12:41Oh, you do.
12:41All right.
12:41So, I think, I, I think the best out of, out of everybody in the, in the Bay Area, um,
12:48I, well, it's a twofer, because I mean, because they're together, and I count them together.
12:52I think, uh, Jameson, Euler, and Wendy Ryan are the best.
12:56All right.
12:56Plus, I got this big crush on Wendy Ryan.
12:58You do.
12:59You've always had a crush on her.
13:00I've always had a crush on her, because I think she was very Katie Couricous.
13:03Like, she could do a whole bunch of different things, but plus, she's a fashionista.
13:06Like, she's, she's fire, fire.
13:07Um, but I have a bunch of them that I love.
13:09Um, now, the worst?
13:12Some people that maybe don't mess with us?
13:17Uh, I mean, the worst, I gotta say, I mean, I, I don't know.
13:25I, I don't know.
13:25That's hard.
13:26Yeah, you do.
13:27The worst, the worst, because I, I mean, mm.
13:30Ooh.
13:32Can you please twice?
13:33We like watching you squirm.
13:35Oh, yeah.
13:36This is good.
13:37The worst, uh, man, um, I'm trying to think who is, because, I mean, I have, honestly,
13:46anybody that's on 10, because I have no idea who those people are.
13:52Like, I mean, because, honestly, like, I, I watched, I, they got, they keep changing
13:56it, like, every five minutes.
13:58They're, like, they got the disco ball one day, and they got so-and-so, and it's just
14:01random people on there.
14:02I'm like, these people are, like, they walk by me in the hallway.
14:04Like, I have no idea who these people are.
14:07So, I, I would have to say on, uh, Tampa Bay's 10.
14:10Rotating door.
14:11Like, I mean, we could walk in there and do the news.
14:13Like, I don't know any of the people on there.
14:16So, I think, yeah, anybody at 10.
14:18Okay.
14:18All right.
14:19You answered it.
14:19Good job.
14:20Yeah.
14:20All right.
14:21All right.
14:21Let's see.
14:22Uh, uh, uh, no, I don't even want to do a boomerang.
14:24Y'all didn't ask me anything I want to know about y'all.
14:26Oh, okay.
14:27You know what I mean?
14:28We're like, we got game.
14:29What did we think about, what did we think about Dobby's rap album?
14:31Y'all did not listen to Dobby's rap album.
14:33I'm using it as a coaster these days.
14:35But, but I will, I will say, cause Dobby just put out, you know what?
14:39We will boomerang this.
14:40Cause I, Dobby just put out a, uh, a single.
14:44Yeah.
14:45His new single, uh, Bottle Girl.
14:47Yeah.
14:47Uh, what did y'all think of his song?
14:51Okay.
14:52Bottle Girl.
14:53Okay.
14:53I mean, I liked it.
14:54I thought it was great.
14:55I could definitely hear it in the club.
14:57I mean, I genuinely liked it.
14:59I thought it was good.
15:00And by the way, I knew the background.
15:01He would come in here and be all excited about it and going into, uh, the studio with
15:05everybody.
15:06So that got me more excited about the song.
15:08And just for clarity, I wasn't right.
15:10I'm not rapping on it.
15:11It's, it's Tom G.
15:12It's Tampa, Tony and young dread.
15:13I just, I produced it.
15:14So is that why it's better?
15:16Cause he wasn't right.
15:21He is in the candid position back then.
15:24What did you think?
15:25Yeah.
15:25I mean, it's, it's good.
15:26I mean, it doesn't deserve to be on the radio in rotation, which I mean, look, I'm being
15:31honest.
15:32I don't lie.
15:33I mean, you know, it's not like a radio banger, but it's, it's good.
15:37And it's, it's better than anything I've done.
15:39So good job.
15:41Well, Davi says it's a boomerang.
15:42You have to answer too.
15:43Is it a radio banger?
15:45Uh, and what do you think of the single?
15:46It's a, I will say in the clubs different, you know, radio is much different than clubs.
15:51I mean, I think it has potential to, to do like mix show stuff.
15:55I see the reactions in the club.
15:56It does, it does well in the clubs, all three artists that are on it are, you know, pretty
16:02big on the radio.
16:03They're all on the radio.
16:04And, um, I think the beat is banging.
16:06So I like my song.
16:09So back up.
16:12Catch it on iTunes right now.
16:17Endorsement.
