00:00You got the MJ Morning Show. It's Q105, MJ and the crew here, and I thought it was a little strange, but then it sort of makes sense.
00:08So Roxanne, a little while ago, said to me, do you and Michelle sleep in the same bed? I'm like, excuse me?
00:15Yes, we sleep in the same bed. And then Roxanne explained why she was asking, you've had multiple conversations with your girlfriends.
00:26Were you guys like having some mimosas and having a discussion, or this is just stuff you pick up through individual conversations?
00:33Both, both. But specifically, we were having mimosas and talking about sleeping habits with our husbands.
00:39And so I realized that more women, a big chunk of people, are saying, okay, let's sleep in separate beds.
00:46All right, so you have a multitude of friends that are sleeping. How old are your friends?
00:5030s and 40s.
00:5130s and 40s, and the husband and wife are sleeping in the same room or different rooms?
01:02Okay, different rooms in some cases, because when you're in your 40s, for women, hormones start to get a little bit wacky.
01:11Right.
01:11And so you sweat more, or you toss and turn, you can't sleep, restless leg syndrome.
01:16Right.
01:16And then you guys, you know what you start to do as you get a little bit older, you have to get up and pee all the time.
01:21Oh, I thought you were going to say something else, and I've been doing that since, you know, at 12.
01:26What, wet the bed?
01:27Yes, yes, that's exactly what I do.
01:29You know, let's grab some calls on this.
01:33Do we have any listeners?
01:36Are you sleeping in separate beds because of sleeping issues?
01:40It's not like you're in the doghouse.
01:42Now, I've had Michelle say, I'm angry at you, go sleep on the couch.
01:47It's happened a couple of times during our marriage, but, you know, not often.
01:52It's never happened to me, but how do you sleep next to that log-sawn wife of yours with those, the fact that you could sleep with that snore?
02:01Yeah, I did.
02:02You know, you could easily be like, I'm going to go across the house.
02:05No, Michelle, hold on a minute.
02:06Michelle is not like that.
02:07This was like one time that-
02:09Oh, I thought it was every night.
02:10This was like, what, three months ago, I was leaving at 5 o'clock in the morning to come to the studio, and I'm like, my God, Michelle snore like a, like a, what do you call it?
02:20Buzzsaw.
02:22Like a, like she was sawing.
02:23Oh, like a log song.
02:24Yeah, like she was sawing logs.
02:27And I grabbed my phone, I hit the recorder on my phone, and-
02:31That's Michelle.
02:34A longshoreman.
02:42She's so pissed.
02:42She's so pissed at me.
02:45So you've got, how many friends are we talking about that sleep in separate beds?
02:49Well, just a couple of friends that sleep in separate beds, but then so many of them agree that if they go like to a hotel and there happen to be two beds in the hotel room, you know, two doubles instead of a king, then they're secretly happy.
03:02Because it's like, oh, thank goodness, I'm going to get a good night's sleep.
03:05Let me see if we can get a call or two on this.
03:06800-990-1047.
03:09Are you sleeping in separate beds?
03:11Are you a relatively young couple, and you're sleeping?
03:14I don't want to hear from like 75-year-olds.
03:16Yes.
03:16Oh, yes, we're sleeping.
03:18Gertrude and I, we stopped sleeping.
03:20Nothing against 75-year-olds, but, you know, I think it's more common for senior citizens to maybe sleep in separate beds.
03:28It's 800-990-1047.
03:31Just out of curiosity, anybody listening now and you're sleeping in separate beds from your husband or wife.
03:39All right.
03:39800-990-1047.
03:42800-990-1047.
03:45I don't know if this counts, but we have a king bed, and it's time for it to go.
03:50We need a new king bed.
03:51And I said to my wife, I go, hey, let's get two queen beds, but push them together.
03:57And she's like, well, that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard.
04:00And I was like, no, we each have our own queen bed.
04:02So then.
04:03We still sleep together in the same.
04:05Would there be times to push them apart, or you're just looking for like a double wide?
04:10I'm looking for, that's exactly what I'm looking for.
04:11Why not get two king beds then?
04:14Why not make the whole room a mattress?
04:15You know, Fesher, right when you roll in the middle, it's going to open like a cellar door,
04:21and you're just going to fall like right to the floor with your weight.
04:24You can position them.
04:25Look at the phones.
04:25And then we can make it like a wrestling arena when it's time to get it on.
04:28Oh, sex.
04:29Hey, Tanya in Tampa.
04:31Hi, Tanya.
04:32Welcome to the MJ Morning Show.
04:34Hey.
04:35Are you sleeping in separate beds?
04:38We actually have separate rooms.
04:40Whoa.
04:41Tanya, how old are you and your husband?
04:43We're in our 40s.
04:45We've been together 27 years.
04:48All three of our children are grown and out of the house.
04:50It started him sleeping on the couch when they lived at home because I snored so loud.
04:56Yeah.
04:56But then when they moved out, he just took over a room, and now we just leave in separate rooms.
05:00And is your marriage good?
05:02It's great.
05:03Do you still have like, which room do you choose?
05:06Do you still have like relations?
05:08We do, and it's usually my room because it's cleaner.
05:11Hey, come over to my room, and let's have some sexy time.
05:16Hey, Tanya, thanks for the call.
05:17All right, quickly.
05:17How weird.
05:18Let me grab Kim.
05:19Kim is in Lakeland.
05:21Kim, are you sleeping in separate rooms?
05:24Sometimes because I was snoring really loud, and I didn't know why.
05:28And then I went to the doctor, and we've discovered that I have sleep apnea.
05:32Wow.
05:33And then I sleep with the CPAP machine now.
05:37Kim, how old are you?
05:3951.
05:39Gotcha.
05:40How old is your husband?
05:4250.
05:43All right.
05:43Well, thanks for the call, Kim.
05:45I appreciate it.
05:46Look at the phones here.
05:48I can't believe it's crazy.
05:49We got two women snorers.
05:51Oh.
05:52It's because of them.
05:53Hey, you got my wife.
05:54Listen.
05:55It should start like a biker gang or something.
05:57She's going to throw me in another room tonight.
05:59All right.
06:00Look at that, Roxanne.
06:01Your friends are sleeping in separate beds because of reasons, and the phones just blew up here.
