00:00Yo, what's good? It's Y94.1, Y94.1.com. Joey Franchise here. Every time this dude comes into town, man, there's always something new popping off with him. He's got a new single out right now. I think I love it with YG videos out right now. Just dropped today, right now. Tyler, Yahweh, saying this big. What's up, G? We back, we back. We're back. We're back, man. We're gonna switch it up a little bit, you know what I'm saying? Get you out the studio, get you more like a, we got this like vintage thing going on, right? We got this arcade and stuff like that. We got the bar. We got the giant beer pong. We know how much you like doing that all the time. We're gonna get into that.
00:30Later. Yes, sir. But let's talk about it. I mean, we got like all these arcades behind me. What was like one game? We were just talking about Mortal Kombat a little while ago. That's my game. I like Pac-Man too. Pac-Man was fire too. Of all time. Yeah, but Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man, and Crazy Taxi. I like your style, bro. Yes, sir. On a dream cast. Yeah. I respect. So talk to me, maybe you're single out. How's it feel now? You've been doing all these festivals? You want to tour now? You're a post? We've just been working. I'm working every single day. Every single day since you've seen me.
01:00I was on tour. I haven't been off a tour ever since that. So every day we just work in the streets, putting up positive energy and good music.
01:08Now let's do it. I think I love Rizal and you, and the hit makers, uh, sampled the Khalees bossy. Yeah.
01:15So how, how cool was that vibe when you got the record? Oh, when I heard it, like that was our first song we ever made together.
01:20And like, right when we got in the studio, we just made it in like less than 20 minutes. Just hopped on the, hopped on the record.
01:27Now what's that process like for you when you get in the studio, when you zone in, you hear something you like, you literally just jump in and knock it out?
01:33I always go with the first song, but like when a beat comes up and I like it, I'm like, all right, first thing.
01:38What's that turnaround like? Usually if I just do a hook, I might do a verse, I might do, finish the song. You never know.
01:45It depends on how much you love it, and then it goes for the next one.
01:48Now you just dropped the EP a few months, like earlier this year.
01:51Yeah, it was like February. Yeah.
01:52Yeah, it's about to go out a year soon. So Full of Rage, you know, was the EP and, you know, how crazy was it like to see the success of that EP go?
02:01Because I saw that at a college, a band, used Who Shot Johnny as part of their, so how was that kind of?
02:08Well, it's been an education process and then when I dropped it, we were, it was like the day we were in Europe.
02:14It was like our second day in Europe, on a Europe tour, me, Post, and Roddy Ridge, and that was like, it was just education from there, performing it every single day, people looking it up, they're going out and streaming it, and I guess it just caught away, and people really love the music.
02:33That's what's up, and now you're working on, I'm assuming you're working on the full?
02:35Heartful, Heartful Edge 2.
02:36Oh, there you go. And now this is another EP you dropped, is it like a full, is this the whole body work?
02:41It's another, another series of Heartful Edge, about getting more songs and more vibes, you know, same style, same, same, same energy, so.
02:51You got YG on here, is there anybody that you have on your wishlist to work with that you've been, you know, vibing with?
02:56Been working with a lot of cool people, you know, like Big Sean, um, I'm about to say, can I say Wiz Khalifa?
03:04Yeah, I mean Wiz Khalifa, Chain Smokers.
03:08Do you ever feel like you get that same, like that good vibe with Vince, because it's like.
03:10Aw, man.
03:11You guys looking like y'all motherfuckers could be brothers.
03:13Yeah, definitely, probably. He's a big inspiration in my whole career, too, though.
03:18Like him, Big Sean, Matt Miller, Nipsey, French, like, they all came up in that era that was like, damn, makes you want to be, like, once you really want to be in this industry off of vlogs and all these different vibes.
03:31That's what's up, man.
03:32We here with Tyler Youngway, man, and he's on tour right now with Post and Sway Lee.
03:35How's that vibe in with the guys?
03:36Aw, man, it's been a movie.
03:38I know you have Post always on some rock star shit.
03:40Yeah, rock star nights every night, man, so we're going to make it, though.
03:44I got to talk to you, too, because I know you're on EST Fest.
03:46Yeah.
03:46With my homie, MGK.
03:48Yes, sir.
03:48Man, who rages harder, bro, because I know you—
03:50Bro, he's one of the best performances in my eyes.
03:53Like, his whole set, his, like, mentality on the stage is, like, amazing.
03:59That's my dog.
03:59I brought him out to—and we did Madison Square Garden, and we did Rolling Loud the same day in New York.
04:06So I was like, yo, come out and do Madison Square.
04:08We came out and did Madison Square, brought him out.
04:11We did Candy, which is one of my favorite songs.
04:13That's fine, right?
04:13Yeah, so it's crazy.
04:15That's good, man.
04:16So I think A Lover is out right now.
04:18You can go stream that.
04:19Heartful of Rage, you're here to hear.
04:21Two coming soon?
04:22Coming soon.
04:23How soon?
04:24I don't know.
04:24I can't tell you yet, man, but you know when I say soon, it's coming.
04:28You say less.
04:28Because right when I said it, like, I said I'm about to drop a project.
04:31There you go.
04:32What happened?
04:33Then project's out.
04:36So look, I know on tour you guys, you know, you guys do the beer pong thing on the spare time, and it's like y'all thing.
04:42Who could you say is the most, like, either really good or the trashiest?
04:46At game pong.
04:47Sometimes everybody had their days where it's just, like, you're just off.
04:51But then you have them days where you're just on it, back to back, back to back.
04:56I'm not going to lie.
04:56I've been off for the past few days.
04:59Been off, getting too drunk off the beer, you know.
05:02Well, we're semi-sober right now.
05:04I need a beer.
05:05I need a nice super-skill.
05:07So we're going to see if it's your day today.
05:08We're going to do a giant beer pong outside.
05:10All right, me and you.
05:11Let's do it.
05:11$100 game.
05:12Let's do it.
05:12$100 game.
05:13I'm winning.
05:13I'm gay.
05:14Let's do it.
05:44I'm going to start it.
05:47That's what the turnaround is.
05:49You get it right back.
05:49And it's coming out of order.
05:51I see them red and blue lights.
05:52And they screaming.
05:53I got hit on the corner.
05:55I found it.
05:56I found something.
05:57It's not no regular game.
06:00Ah, dang.
06:03Get out of here.
06:05All right, post the way.
06:05Game over.
06:09Game over.
06:12Game over.
06:13I got one more.
06:21You see me, man?
06:23I'm out here.
06:23Look at that.
06:24Look at what I left this man with.
