00:00:49and stuff but uh we're finally uh getting on back on track here on the show and we're going to talk
00:00:55about the phase four marvel cinematic universe lineup announced at uh san diego comic-con

00:01:28let's see the lineup of course the first movie let's talk about let's get into it is black panther
00:01:34and uh we have a date for black panther of i don't know if this is right may 1st 2020
00:01:4022 22 yeah or 23 they haven't come out with the exact date it says 20 here but i might be wrong
00:01:46which one are you looking it's supposed to go all the way to 22 the whole lineup okay but the
00:01:49first movie is in 20 i think black panther is like a non-black panther sorry black widow
00:01:53sorry did i say black panther yeah that's what happens when you don't disrespect the king
00:01:57when you get your blacks mixed up okay don't do that that was a lot of my job
00:02:02oh man let's not get into that anyway black widow ladies and gentlemen black widow
00:02:10yeah are you looking forward to that kevin um are you looking forward to that uh no i am not
00:02:15no why not well i've uh you think that's a beaten horse well they've done what red sparrow right
00:02:19the movie they did a year ago right um i've seen wanted right um gina davis had a movie back in
00:02:28the day called long kiss goodnight uh-huh um black widow jackson was in that yeah yeah any charlize
00:02:34theron movie past 2009 beyond flux it's all gonna be like i'm not expect expecting and
00:02:39very intriguing story i expect it to be pretty similar to something we've seen before but it
00:02:45could be cool it could be action-packed and cool just fun so yeah i'm gonna check it out of course
00:02:50i'm a fan so my my question to all you is i mean it doesn't look like it's gonna go the red sparrow
00:02:55route you know a little bit maybe i think it's gonna touch it but i think you know they're gonna
00:02:59get into some more marvel stuff you know from what i took from the trailer the little sneak peek
00:03:04trailer at least the description of the trailer had you released that trailer on the on
00:03:07which one the black widow trailer not yet they showed it i've heard descriptions about it yeah
00:03:12i've read the description about it and it seems from the description doesn't seem like that's the
00:03:16route they're going per se it's gonna be interesting i think we're gonna see like a lot of those visions
00:03:22that she saw in age of ultron yeah come to fruition and that play a part obviously they're gonna give her
00:03:27more of a backstory right and um uh taskmaster is gonna be the main bad and that's one of my
00:03:35favorite i like that villain yeah that's that's pretty cool so i mean i'm not as hyped as for it
00:03:40either but it's marvel and it's there it exists it exists i'm gonna check it out like all right cool
00:03:46yeah you ever notice a black sparrow does that same move all the time she's like a one of those
00:03:50cruiserweight wrestlers she's always does that yeah she always does the the wrestling move blackwood
00:03:56always does that jump she's like where she puts her arms around your neck yeah i wouldn't mind if
00:04:00it was scarlett johansson putting her arms around my neck apparently flipping everybody around i feel
00:04:03like that's like go-to move all the time apparently david harbour is going to be yeah uh the uh antagonist
00:04:09he's going to be playing um i guess whatever the whatever the russian counterpart of captain america
00:04:14is in the comic book i forgot what that's called right now there was a red skull was the counterpart
00:04:19no no but there was you know like the british the british something there was um the brit i forget
00:04:26his name now captain britain captain britain or something like that yeah captain britain and they
00:04:30introduced him somewhere i don't know where i don't know if it was a tv show or or uh oh they alluded
00:04:35to him in the end of uh endgame um when i'm oh yeah when she was we're in a passage and uh she was
00:04:42talking with um in the old in the old shield bunker yeah she was talking about when cap saw her
00:04:48mention his name like uh major braddock or something like that oh okay that's his last
00:04:52name yeah she like little little mention when was this in that was that was bro it was very subtle
00:04:57such a very subtle easter egg if you weren't paying attention you so like when cap got when cap saw her
00:05:02saw peggy yeah when she was in the he like got stuck and you could just hear her conversation right yeah
00:05:07yeah okay he was just staring like oh he was in a daze
00:05:10oh man so you know i i withhold judgment let's see how what the movie is right yeah definitely
00:05:19it's got something's got to happen in this movie that have to do with probably where the movie the
00:05:24movies are going to go you know if you're you're actually about my excitement level my excitement
00:05:29level is like a five out of ten i'll i'll review it four out of ten yeah yeah i'm not super excited
00:05:35about this yeah i know but it is barbell so your boy the falcons got his own uh tv show um on disney
00:05:41plus yeah yeah falcon and winter soldier that's what's coming up next that's going to be coming
00:05:46out in fall 2020 on the disney plus uh streaming service so how about that what's about your
00:05:52excitement on that terek yeah i'm not that excited no not either well listen i'm more excited i'm more
00:05:57excited well i'm not excited about having to get disney plus well i'm not excited about having to
00:06:03have if you had you know the things that i have terek you wouldn't have these problems
00:06:06i'm not going to jail with you come on man i ain't trying to get that bob eiger email or nah
00:06:14they gotta catch me anyway um so listen i like anthony mackie is uh yeah one of my favorite characters
00:06:21in the whole marvel thing like i like his performance and uh winter soldier i find very very interesting
00:06:26um pairing and putting them together i'm cool with i just you know i got agents of shield uh you know
00:06:32i have some some lingering effects from agents of shield like i'm not a fan of agents of shield
00:06:37i didn't like it was done the first two seasons that's good that you brought that up because i'm
00:06:41gonna put that together with disney plus and marvel tv in a minute a question okay well you're
00:06:47bootlegging it also yeah yeah um so i mean i'm curious to see what they do again this is another one
00:06:52if they do it really well then cool um i think that it's going to be natural to compare these shows
00:06:59on disney plus to what netflix did um and i'm hoping it because it's disney that they don't
00:07:05they don't take away the edge of what some of these things have like i want to see winter soldier
00:07:09kill people you know i mean i know he's a hero now but i want to see blood yeah i want to see him
00:07:14kill people man and you know falcon if they do the captain america from the comic book situation i'll be
00:07:20cool with that right but we'll see hmm i'm more i'll get that i'm i'm a seven out of ten on that
00:07:26how you feel about this falcon winter soldier i think it's actually i think something's going to be
00:07:30have to do with something that happens in black widow that comes back and creeping up into the now
00:07:37into the plot of probably falcon and winter soldier because it seems like that's that spy
00:07:42you know espionage espionage uh world of marvel cinematic universe you know they're both kind
00:07:49of that's why they put them together you know yeah i think that something's going to happen in
00:07:53black widow that falcon and winter soldier got to deal with that that comes back up you know
00:07:57yeah she's dead though i think yeah it is a prequel play a part maybe in the black widow's a prequel
00:08:01yeah um as far as my level of excitement and you know
00:08:08we gotta go back to like the tv show like i was never a fan of ages of shield never watched peggy
00:08:15carter yeah uh or agent carter i'm just curious as to how this is gonna like work exclusively on
00:08:24disney plus it shouldn't be a bad move especially since every since we know for sure that everything's
00:08:29you know super connected now before they were like kind of loosely based right uh on the tv shows
00:08:36aside from agent carter but agents of shield you didn't see any of those guys cross over into the
00:08:39movies they just addressed things that would happen in the movies that's right um but this should be
00:08:45all right anthony mackie's great um sebastian sand is you know bucky is awesome too uh it's gonna be
00:08:51good and i think this is a good lead off into all that disney plus stuff so this is a good you know
00:08:57all right let's start it with these two guys he's the new cap and you know i'm just like i'll look
00:09:03forward to seeing according to the premises premises that the government's not going to want falcon to
00:09:07be the captain america they're not going to want they're not going to want because of his ethnicity
00:09:12that's the what what is going on that's the that's the plot of the legit legit wow that's what's been
00:09:20reported on you did not that's black twitter said that man i swear that's not a source man that's
00:09:25actually that that if you read the falcon when he's uh captain america that's actually one of the
00:09:29plots of the comic book where there's the the political realm of government doesn't want him to
00:09:35have the shield yeah wow so okay that's that's a i'm getting you already that's a deep dive for disney
00:09:43i'm warming you guys up okay i'm warming you guys up just in case all right don't be shocked all
00:09:46right um look you know what can you lose we're gonna have some marvel cinematic universe
00:09:51action with falcon and winter soldier and you know i'm pretty sure it'll be well who the bads
00:09:56would be i don't know they haven't really said anything about that like i said maybe your task
00:10:01master might might i think task master might pop up you know what i'm saying yeah i think it's
00:10:05they're married they're that's why they're together like black black widow and falcon winter soldier
00:10:10show so then we're going back to the movies because in a date that's here i don't know if it's correct
00:10:17or not but we're gonna run with it anyway november 6 2020 eternals which is full of star power
00:10:25apparently all the uh characters are going to be doing all kinds of different characters you know
00:10:30this is going to be happening all before like danos and all this is like i don't know if there's a
00:10:36prequel or a result of i think it's going to tell a better story of like thanos yeah that's what i
00:10:45heard that yeah i liked captain marvel the prequel side of captain but i'm afraid that too much of
00:10:50these prequels oh let's go back and tell this story i'm not gonna lie let's go back and tell
00:10:54this story you know it's kind of like losing people i'm getting kind of exhausted as a prequel
00:10:58yeah like i like forward momentum you know yeah captain marvel wasn't good
00:11:02it wasn't bad it wasn't bad it wasn't it wasn't bad it wasn't great it was good
00:11:07it was good um the eternals you know i hear it might be a good way to introduce mutants
00:11:14yeah and all this other stuff um i personally don't care where mutants come from you know i
00:11:20like the idea that they're just you know just a mutation but we'll see um when you do the space
00:11:25stuff you know it can get listen we did ego we did ego the living planet yeah that was a little
00:11:30dicey that was dicey yeah when you're doing space stuff and you're doing like these all powerful
00:11:36beings and celestials and stuff it's gonna get a little because the great thing about marvel
00:11:40has been how grounded it was for for the most part you know with the exception of of uh endgame
00:11:46and infinity war most of it was pretty grounded you know i mean black panther did eat a magical apricot
00:11:52well you know it's magic and can we can we say there's magic there's doctor strange there's
00:11:59yeah all the universes yeah but they do it as a thing of like manipulating energy but
00:12:03we get too far out like doctor strange probably as far out as i want them to go we start getting too
00:12:08far out about to start talking about doctor strange soon yeah let's get down let's get
00:12:12through this uh we'll run down first um i i reserve judgment eternals i'm sure it's gonna have
00:12:17something to do with their bigger narrative so i'm down for it angelina jolie's in it yeah uh what's
00:12:22the old boy from atl is gonna be in it ryan tyree see this is why i bring you guys on the show
00:12:28because i forget what's the dude from atl the dude from atl the cousin oh is he yeah yeah he was also
00:12:34in child's play yeah the rapper he's the rapper yeah the rapper yeah brian tyree so i forgot yeah
00:12:39yeah brian yes all right okay eternals that's in november so it's not a summer temple so if it's
00:12:46bad i guess oh well yeah no it's gonna think like i said they're gonna get more cosmic-y yeah with
00:12:51these next few movies or some of these movies and then uh you know i think tarot had it right i think
00:12:57they're gonna introduce like where mutants are gonna come from right um well talking about the
00:13:02mutants how they're gonna introduce her remember i put you onto that comic book yeah and i did buy
00:13:06it yeah i did read it yeah it was pretty interesting it's not bad just let's catch you up terek um
00:13:11i forgot the name the the writer's name but they marvel comic book now we're talking about the comic
00:13:16books okay they came out with this new comic book called house house of powers powers of x powers of x
00:13:24powers of x so they're kind of like retelling not really telling not retelling the narrative of x-men
00:13:28of the comic book but they're reintroducing the lore of x-men and they're showing like
00:13:37different teams throughout the decades of future and past and different universes something like
00:13:42that right it was trippy like different things that happened like they showed like the days of
00:13:45future past lineup they show like the 90s yet lineup they show like the future 10 more years in the
00:13:51future lineup another 10 more years in the future lineup you know and they're they're showing how
00:13:54they're all interconnected whatever other stories whatever it's interesting how they introduce
00:13:59professor x to like right in the beginning of the comic like he has these powers and nobody like
00:14:03knows it yeah and he's just sitting down at a carnival and some chick just pulls up next to him on the
00:14:07bench and it's like i know who you are okay yeah the comic book's pretty it's pretty interesting yeah
00:14:12it's pretty interesting it's nuts there's there's one part where maurya mctaggart is introduced as a
00:14:17mutant this time and she she keeps she keeps getting re um reborn by a different i don't know if by the
00:14:28same or she has to live the same life over and over again to try and fix uh what happens to the
00:14:33mutants okay so like and and she she finally remembers like all her after her past lives and
00:14:38she goes and tells like xavier this is what you did this and this happened you did this and this
00:14:43happened you did this and this happened okay so it's it it could get contributed i know you don't
00:14:47like that but it's a comic book so yeah and i'm i have a feeling that since they're already introduced
00:14:54in the multiple universes stuff like that this is how they're going to use they're going to use
00:14:57something that works maybe in the comic book this retelling into this reintroduction of the
00:15:02mutants in this marvel cinematic universe okay that's the speculation in the nerd world did you
00:15:07start that speculation speedy no that's the speculation in the world that's why the book is selling so
00:15:11much because everybody's buying it thinking they're going to have hot hot commodities when
00:15:14gotcha when they finally make the movies all right yeah nice so thanks for putting me on the comic
00:15:19too man hopefully it'll be worth something i will see it was already six bucks the guy in the comic
00:15:25con was also six dollars oh yeah that's it yeah that's nothing oh well you know come on they're
00:15:29like to throw four dollars you know it's like a what was a variant cover i think that was the one
00:15:33only one he had resale prices man so the next movie is uh shang chi that is february 12th
00:15:41it's called legend of the ten rings uh yes it is a legend ten rings they're going to introduce
00:15:45finally the mandarin finally the real mandarin in this movie and introduce him yeah yeah and i
00:15:51guess they wanted to introduce him in a proper asian lore yeah without you know so they wouldn't get
00:15:56you know criticized did you ever see the uh the thor dark world uh mini movie that was in the dvd
00:16:03there was a mini movie yeah it's actually you can youtube it it and it shows um ben kingsley back
00:16:10as a mandarin like well he's in jail and he's like the celebrity because you know people always thought
00:16:16he was mistaken for the mandarin and y'all just notoriety and so all these guys in jail were like
00:16:20happy to be around him and protecting him yeah he was living life in in prison and then he gets
00:16:25interviewed by someone of the ten rings right um well he doesn't know he's part of the ten rings
00:16:31so until like dude just like you know flips the whole script and like holds the gun to his head
00:16:37and says you know we you took his name and he wants his name back oh it's crazy you can watch on youtube
00:16:42i don't want to spoil too much but oh yeah yeah i did i just see that little mini that little yeah it
00:16:46was cool i did see i'm gonna check that out yeah check that out you'll like it yeah yeah um so
00:16:51shang chi of course is the kung fu lore and i know you guys are not fans of the iron fist stuff
00:16:57but this is this touch this touches all the iron fist stuff this movie well i'm here for shang chi i'm
00:17:02i'm i'm more excited about this than i'm in black widow uh winter soldier and uh so if they introduce
00:17:08some iron fist stuff you're still on board or what i just didn't like it i didn't like the guy playing
00:17:12iron fist yeah i'm okay with the lure yeah you know with the hand and all that because there's
00:17:17multiple iron fists throughout time and now they're casting somebody who's knows what they're doing
00:17:21you know so i got a good feeling that it'll be a you know a solid action flick i'm there with it
00:17:28uh i like i kind of like some of the movies that are further away from like tying everything in
00:17:34together i like some of the movies that are like okay yeah we're in this world but this is not
00:17:38all tied into avenger stuff so i'm here for shang chi shang chi yeah i'm here for it um so
00:17:44everybody who's watching the video recording of this your videos just went out because the great

00:18:03shang chi i'm really hyped for it was like um when i was curious to see what like ant-man was gonna
00:18:09look like and i ended up really liking it um i think shang chi is gonna you know do exactly that
00:18:15uh and i'm and i'm just glad that like the 10 rings like they're they're tying that into the
00:18:20whole thing too because um that's actually been uh you know been around for some time since what
00:18:27iron man 2 or iron man 3 i mean yeah so shang chi's gonna be dope um and they got one of like the
00:18:35really good martial martial arts guys in the game i guess right now yeah playing him uh aquafina is
00:18:41gonna be in it too that should be interesting who's that now aquafina that chick the day she
00:18:46was in the she was in the uh the the rich asians movie oh okay okay yeah yeah crazy what was it
00:18:51crazy rich asians yeah crazy yeah yeah she's funny as hell so that's gonna be cool interesting i'm
00:18:58excited to see some kung fu in uh yeah and marvel yeah that's that's i'm happy about that all right
00:19:03so then we get into the weird stuff yay let's get weird all right wandavision starts spring 2021
00:19:09and the disney plus okay and that's when we start getting wild and crazy and this is what the what
00:19:15what tarot is afraid of um yeah um you know wanda does lose her mind just to give anybody who doesn't
00:19:24haven't read any combos wanda scarlet scarlet witch does lose her mind uh she like eliminates like
00:19:30almost 90 of the mutants for one time because she has a reality altering powers yeah or whatever
00:19:36she also is a trained witch but it's like you know in the doctor strange world stuff like that
00:19:41so she has magic powers as well you know or access to magic and stuff so it's one of those super super
00:19:46powered characters you know plus she's a mutant all that stuff so she does a lot of crazy stuff like
00:19:52she destroys like avengers hq in one comic book where they were like all this is assembled and stuff
00:19:58like that yeah she like brought made like nightmares to all the avengers and everything yeah and like and
00:20:04i think somebody actually died like i think ant-man died in that in the comic book world
00:20:08well in mcu she was able to eliminate her accent that was one of her abilities yeah um so apparently
00:20:17she's gonna make like different multiple universes of where actually vision is alive or something like
00:20:22that or or she's gonna i guess mess up reality because the following movie after that show the
00:20:30following movie which is mind you mind the title okay dr strange and the multiverse of madness
00:20:37what's that now that's the following movie after the wandavision show okay so
00:20:44what do you think about that um obviously this is both for connected okay dr strange is allowed to do
00:20:52that i'm okay dr strange is the weird stuff yeah he's allowed to do that yeah i i i'm okay with that
00:20:58yeah um i'm more excited about doctor i'm probably most excited about dr strange than i am about
00:21:03any of the other films really yeah yeah i think that's that's the that's the goal the goal the
00:21:09golden child right there well i think i think the actor playing him can hold him you know his
00:21:14personality and everything can hold that movie um you know you you've lost cap and you lost tony
00:21:20so you got to have some personalities that can hold movies really well and i think dr strange is
00:21:25that personality interesting along along with wong you know yeah wong's cool wong i really like wong
00:21:31and i kind of want to see if um i want to see if they do to uh mordrew mordrew mordo mordo yeah i
00:21:37want to see if he comes back yeah that's crazy yeah i would thought he would be the the bad in this
00:21:43movie yeah but i mean he still could be right but i heard nightmare is going to be the main bad in
00:21:48this one yeah interesting and it's gonna be cool because now wandavision is probably going to be
00:21:54tied into multiverse madness because she's actually going to be in the movie yeah with dr strange yeah
00:22:00so they're probably going to take on some wild wild it's going to be wild that's all i can say
00:22:05so wandavision is going to be disney plus or is it going to be a film it's going to be disney plus
00:22:10okay so you're going to have to go through maybe eight episodes of that yeah
00:22:13it's crazy because that's what spring 2021 and then it's going to like then make that and that's
00:22:19in may 7th uh dr strange so it's going to be literally back to back almost yeah it's gonna be
00:22:23cool so i think uh pre-game with wandavision then you'll see the movie i think there'll be a
00:22:27cliffhanger in wandavision that will lead into i kind of like the way they're doing this
00:22:31well they are giving us a bit of a break yeah which i think we need from all the superhero stuff
00:22:36right for a little while giving us a bit of a break but um i'm here for dr strange i think
00:22:41that's going to be one of the linchpin characters you know because he can he's going to be all over
00:22:45the place he connects to everything um so i'm here for that wandavision we'll see we'll see what
00:22:52they do see what they do all right so then next talking about multi-universes loki spring 2021
00:22:57on disney plus yeah because of course this is his adventures pre pre uh i guess becoming a hero
00:23:05because he's still kind of a you know mischievous villain yeah when he disappears with the
00:23:09tesseract and endgame yeah so i guess this this shows about that yeah it follows him yeah
00:23:13follows him and him going through different timelines and just trying to figure out what
00:23:18what the heck's going on yeah does anybody remember when they did remember the show what's happening
00:23:22yeah and they did what's happening now yeah that's what this local show do we need what's
00:23:28happening we already found out what was happening and now we're gonna do what's happening now i think
00:23:32they're just kind of capitalized off of a very popular character yeah uh it can be good it's marvel
00:23:37so it can end up being very good it's just i don't see why i think you're trying to do right
00:23:42by tom hiddleston because he was like he originally tried for the thor role did he yeah i've seen the uh
00:23:49the auditions it wasn't bad okay i mean chris hemsworth yeah it's chris hemsworth yeah he's large
00:23:55and british yeah large british muscular yeah he's yeah i reserve judgment i don't know we'll see i'll
00:24:01check it out yeah it's gonna be cool it's gonna be cool but then the next one is another disney plus
00:24:05show i guess it's animated ladies yeah it is so this one's gonna be animated it's called the what
00:24:09if series okay i've been hearing it's gonna be animated yeah and that's gonna be this uh summer
00:24:14of 2021 on the disney plus yeah i have a lot of what ifs yeah i already have what ifs in my head
00:24:23yeah i have a lot of what ifs about all these marvel movies but um this is gonna be cool all the
00:24:28actors actually gonna come back through their voices like let's do let's do a what if if uh
00:24:33what if thor went for the head what if uh yeah what if um what's his name from guardians of galaxy uh
00:24:40didn't hit homey across a lot of these what ifs are from infinity war yeah
00:24:47oh so we're looking forward to that then we got hawkeye which is another disney plus show in fall
00:24:532021 i guess that's just gonna introduce kate bishop kate bishop yep as the new hawkeye is that
00:24:59it's gonna be animated or it's gonna be it's gonna be live action apparently and and i guess
00:25:03jeremy renner's clint barton yeah yeah clint's gonna train her and he's he's cool with tv shows
00:25:10like i remember where was another tv show that i saw him on jeremy renner yeah jeremy renner yeah
00:25:14he was actually pretty good i don't remember what tv show it was oh jeremy renner's a great actor yeah
00:25:17he's a great actor but he's got some tv show before you know becoming what he is now it's far
00:25:22yeah he was probably i think he was one of the boyfriends on the friends or something like that
00:25:25it was it wasn't like action when it was just like normal acting maybe it was a csi show or
00:25:31one of those police shows or something on order i don't remember something like that but um you
00:25:36know he's got chops man so you know he's good i think he was on what's happening now one of my
00:25:40favorite movies by him is actually hurt lock i think hawkeye is gonna be hawkeye is gonna be
00:25:44the version of batman beyond to that that these people have been wanting but in version of hawkeye you
00:25:48know like the old old hawkeye come on kate hey i'm for the head from now on do the rest of the show

00:26:27you know we do a lot of times we say well they did this in the comics that are going to do in the
00:26:30movies they do not they do not do in the in the movies what they did in the comics that's gonna

00:27:12research in front of you my computer's doing all kinds of multiple things at the same time right
00:27:16now so we're looking forward to that that's gonna be great a good lineup decent lineup
00:27:21entertaining lineup okay it's so much disney plus it is because they want you to buy i know
00:27:26want you to buy it's everything's a business ladies and gentlemen it's a business ladies and
00:27:30gentlemen i'm not mad at him i'm not mad at him oh yeah that it just it's just if i was dc
00:27:34universe like man we messed up are we allowing this to happen yep we're powerful warner brothers
00:27:40it's not it's not cutting it it's crazy and they own all their characters yeah so um then we had a
00:27:48blade a future blade movie announced or at least the character is going to be introduced somewhere
00:27:52yes well i know i think they're doing the blade movie he's the rude dude yeah they're really in the
00:27:56movie i think they're going to do some somewhere i'm trying to figure out how they're going to
00:27:58introduce vampires probably in doctor strange somewhere yeah yeah he didn't just go loose
00:28:03yeah yeah see now this is a big blade you think blade will come from the multiverse
00:28:09oh he could possible they don't they've done a bunch of vampires it's going to be like a like a
00:28:14very scary it's going to be a horror movie it's going to be a bunch of variants of vampire stuff
00:28:20in um in the marvel universe you know um i wouldn't mind if blade was not part you know like i
00:28:26a part of me feels like you can do stuff and not have it tie into anything yeah um we saw successful
00:28:32the i mean they tied in the netflix shows but it wasn't like heavy heavy heavy tie-in it was like
00:28:38mentions i will be happy i'll be okay if blade was like that like i don't need to see blade and wanda
00:28:43running around together i just want to see blade right and morbius maybe you know that'd be cool to
00:28:49see like spider-man kind of yeah if he popped up you know crossover into right yeah like they didn't
00:28:55like he did in the tv show i think it'll be cool but marshall ali i like him he's he's good he's a
00:28:59good actor and it's crazy i didn't think about that like damn like who like you don't you think
00:29:03blade you think wesley snipes yeah it's like marshall ali is like yeah i think it's then on the nose
00:29:08include wesley snipes some way i think some people i think here's my prediction wesley snipes is whistler
00:29:14i like it i like that idea i like that idea joe be coming up with the dopest ideas we gotta get you
00:29:18we gotta get you in front of kevin feige man i got some ideas my man i got ideas last but not least
00:29:26they announced some kind of fantastic four movie sometime in the future yeah well i think he's
00:29:31saving it i think they're saving those big announcements for uh for d23 in a couple weeks
00:29:36yeah well that they were saying that they weren't going to do anything with x-men at least for like
00:29:40three years yeah because they so they messed that whole thing up with dark phoenix i like
00:29:44they ruined it man supposedly they lost a lot of money that they took a hit in their their earnings
00:29:49for the year like their quarterly earnings yeah you know more about this terror because you work
00:29:52in a sales yeah yeah they they um so what they did was they they bought the property and then they
00:29:56started spending money on the advertising um so they actually um they lost in their predictions
00:30:02the movie overall i think it made like profit 57 million dollars or something like that
00:30:09um but they predicted it to make more so it threw their quarterly uh disney's quarterly uh offerings
00:30:16off but i think um you know once you once it got sold it was like people were like well i'll just wait
00:30:23you know what i mean i'll just wait till disney does it um i don't know so i don't i'm not i'm not
00:30:34i'm never going to be excited about fantastic four movie ever no would you be more excited about
00:30:40fantastic four disney plus show no i just think fantastic four is corny really some people get
00:30:45really mad at me but listen captain america you don't like a cup of tea is not your cup of tea
00:30:48captain america was corny to me yeah just just in the comic book just in the comic book i only like
00:30:53captain america when he was included when he was in the avengers i never liked captain america too
00:30:57much as a standalone captain america was never cool to me until about until they did civil war
00:31:02yeah that was he wasn't wearing his helmet like that yeah that was the only time where he was
00:31:06like they made him a little more edgy you know dark avengers and all that stuff right that's when he
00:31:10became cool all the other captain america stuff i wasn't really he was just so like wholesome i was
00:31:15not there for that's fantastic four is kind of like that it's just like you know the old new york
00:31:20cabbie voice of the thing and the pretty boy johnny storm ah so while i call in our my interview
00:31:28i know some of you guys got to run i know joey's got to run he's got to go on to be in the air
00:31:31yeah and then uh terry's got to do his you know acting stuff yeah but um we're going to be talking
00:31:39with marco lopez um he won a eisner award for that uh puerto rico strong remember that first one of
00:31:44those first interviews we had when we started the show yes yes he actually won eisner for that at a
00:31:48comic con at the san diego comic con very cool uh best anthology so we're going to have him on the
00:31:53show because he's actually working on a brand new project uh which is more you know more sci-fi and
00:32:00fantasy uh called uh strange encounters okay so i'm going to talk to him a little bit about that
00:32:04he's got a kickstart going on and stuff like that so i'm going to call him now but i'm going to pose
00:32:07a question before you guys leave is um do we have we already had marvel tv and now we have disney plus
00:32:18okay do you think that disney is doing right by everything that they did for marvel television
00:32:26the time that you invested in anything on marvel television and now we got you got to reinvest now
00:32:31in disney plus do you think it's proper do you think they're gonna make it good somehow with us
00:32:37with some characters maybe or maybe not we mean or do you think that they're just like there's a lot
00:32:42there's a wall between what they do for the marvel tv abc stuff like ages of the shield and what
00:32:47they're going to do for disney plus and then they're not going to cross that line oh what do you
00:32:51think i think they're definitely going to cross the line i don't know about the netflix people
00:32:55characters i don't there's a lot of equity in some at least daredevil there's a lot of equity
00:32:59because there's a lot of characters that are involved in spider-man's mythology yeah i just
00:33:03don't know if they're going to that may be a little too at this point too soon too iconic yeah netflix
00:33:10i definitely think the shield stuff and you're going to see ghost rider um and some of those other
00:33:15characters that popped up in agents of shield and i honestly don't think they care i think listen if
00:33:21you're disney you have marvel and abc and espn right it's like all right well what are y'all gonna do
00:33:27you know you're gonna you're gonna get the product i'm getting the product speedy you're gonna illegally
00:33:32download it i'm gonna get it i'm gonna get the product so i don't just want me to tell you how it
00:33:38is yeah i don't think they're overly concerned about the consumer at this point because look all the
00:33:43movies we said shows we're like we're not necessarily crazy interested in but we're still gonna see
00:33:48yeah so at the end of the day we're still gonna go see it so and they're gonna do right by they're
00:33:53gonna do right by us um there's gonna be a lot of fan service with these disney plus shows i think
00:33:57they're gonna need to have to not only just because they have you know these high profile actors in
00:34:04these movies uh but you know the fact that they're gonna be super connected and lead into the next film
00:34:11somehow some way yeah uh it's it's it's they're gonna do right by it's not gonna be like
00:34:17agents of steel situation where you actually don't necessarily have to watch the show
00:34:20to kind of you know understand the movies yeah right uh this is i think you're gonna need to watch
00:34:27everything and like these tv shows to kind of know what's going on the movies and they're cool it's
00:34:33it's a smart move on there and because they've already built such a great they built great stories
00:34:38and they've integrated them you know like perfect with you know all the other they you know intertwine
00:34:45all the movies together and now they're doing it with the tv shows pretty good fan service yeah
00:34:49all right all right i just wish they would they they make good under promise that everything's
00:34:56connected that's all oh yeah no this is definitely connected you cannot unconnect that i don't mind
00:35:00i don't mind if they like as long as they're like maybe in shang chi they throw a little bone
00:35:03little little easter egg just to maybe some iron fist stuff you know don't have to have him come
00:35:08out you know and all that stuff but you know just show us that you know that you cared about
00:35:13some stuff that you got us involved in you know i mean maybe maybe a little easter egg to ages of
00:35:18shield maybe you know here and there you know i don't know you know i never liked ages no one
00:35:23watches this season is wild i can't i couldn't get into it yeah i heard it got really well i heard
00:35:29it got good as like the seasons went on yeah i was i was lost after the first two episodes you know
00:35:34what y'all want to see i want to see fem fam foom you might get that but the problem he's tied in
00:35:41with um with another another move no well he's tied in with something in universal i think yeah
00:35:46yeah so i don't think they could use that character there i read something about that
00:35:49wow yeah we need another hulk movie yeah we didn't you know i wish you universal could play nice and
00:35:54do i want to do i want red hulk you'd be surprised what money does with companies yeah i know that
00:36:01look at uh i need thunderbolt ross turn into red hulk man that might happen that just might
00:36:06needs to he's what's so he's been popping up a lot yeah and what are they gonna do with venom
00:36:10like i really liked the sony venom well yo we'll see but i wonder we'll see andy circus
00:36:15yeah is directing the next venom movie really yeah so i'm really excited for that carnage will be the

00:37:17dagger ages of shield it's just you know that they're around you know what i mean i don't you think
00:37:23they're gonna make good or they're gonna they're gonna draw a line in the sand just move on
00:37:26i think they're gonna draw a line in the sand i don't think kevin fahey ever liked
00:37:30the television side because he never had you know because when it started it was without his control
00:37:35right so i don't think he's uh happy with that with the idea of what they've done yeah uh and i think
00:37:44that's why they're doing the uh those mini series uh like the scarlet witch one and you know the
00:37:49captain american falcon i think that's him basically saying like yeah we can do everything you can do but
00:37:54better wow you think you think you think the beef is like that like it's that big i mean there is
00:38:00that whole talk of uh fahey and perlmutter you know they don't like like each other very much and
00:38:05he didn't want perlmutter involved with the film stuff and you know and he wrestled control away from
00:38:10perlmutter of that and he's like you guys can just do your tv stuff and you know leave us alone
00:38:16and uh honestly i think there's you know uh i don't know if it's bad blood just because he doesn't
00:38:22like perlmutter because of promoters politics or he just kevin fahey just you know some people
00:38:27some creative creative people because you got to give fahey you know that because he has been
00:38:32involved in all these movies and you know he you know and and and shaping this world with the
00:38:38directors and all that so he is involved on a creative level to an extent you know some creative
00:38:42people are just very controlling you know like so i could see him you know the marvel brand the
00:38:49way he thinks of it is probably the way the way pixar thinks of their brand so to him the tv
00:38:54stuff might be an eyesore to him you know it's not done the way he wants it done right
00:38:58interesting so marco uh we're going to move on to you and we're going to talk about your
00:39:04kickstarter and congratulations on your eyes and award for uh puerto rico strong first off
00:39:09thank you how did you feel man when uh when you found out that you is that's pretty that's like the
00:39:15grammys for comic book writers you know and comic book comic book industry as a whole you know so
00:39:20how did you feel when uh when you found out you were a winner uh it was crazy because it was late
00:39:26in the morning i wasn't there at the um san diego comic con but one of the other editors was
00:39:32yeah but me me and two of the other other editors neil and derrick they live in new york so i was
00:39:40talking to them online and then we're also watching it go down on social media because they don't air
00:39:45they don't do like a live like you know youtube or you know you know they don't do like a broadcast
00:39:50for the san diego for the eisner's even though it's like supposed to be like the oscars the grammys
00:39:55of comics you know and in a digital age that we live in they could easily do a broadcast so that
00:40:01everyone can watch it but they don't right so we just there's different people like comiXology
00:40:06and this other company fan base press um that's a publisher and a news site they were doing live updates
00:40:13and so i was just going back and forth between comiXology and fan base press and you know talking
00:40:18to neil and derrick and the whole time i'm thinking like okay like this thing started at
00:40:22like 10 o'clock our time you know 10 or 11 our time and then you know california's three hours
00:40:27behind so i'm like you know they'll get to our award in the first 20 minutes and then it's like
00:40:31all right done found out whether i lost or won and i can move on and you know get to bed
00:40:36like the first 20 minutes passes and it's like okay they haven't announced our award and then
00:40:42like then like the next 40 minutes passes and it's like maybe they forgot about our award then two
00:40:48hours in we're like dear god we just want to go to sleep is our award gonna get it's our award
00:40:53gonna get announced or not um and literally five because the thing was supposed to end like i think
00:40:59145 our time and so but they had like five more awards to go after ours so then chip sadarski won
00:41:08his award i think for spider-man um or spider-man story he did i forget and then so i saw somebody
00:41:15had posted on twitter a screenshot of the pamphlet and i was like oh we're after him thank god so i can
00:41:21go to sleep and then i was just sitting there like oh god if i lost i'm gonna be a little mad just
00:41:28like i stayed up so late for no reason and then i saw twitter refresh itself and it's like winter
00:41:34puerto rico strong you know editors etc you know our name the five editors and i like slammed my hand
00:41:41down on the table and i was like oh you know and i cursed i was like this is amazing and i started
00:41:49talking to neil and derrick and then you like you get this adrenaline rush and then i'm posting on
00:41:53facebook posted on twitter and then people are congratulating me and i'm just like and it was
00:41:58just i didn't get to sleep until like four in the morning because i was filled with so much adrenaline
00:42:02i was just like i can't go to sleep i don't know what to do dope like you can turn on your video man
00:42:06if you want unless you're uh you know not not decent um i for some reason i only have like one
00:42:14light on it's looking like dark in here it's fine don't worry nothing's professional here
00:42:18i can see my let me try turning on another light um hold on because i have a second light source i
00:42:26might don't worry lighting things up in here i got a bunch of stuff on the bed behind me i hear you
00:42:34um let me turn it off what i wanted to talk to you about was your kickstarter of course what uh
00:42:40what we're really excited all right there you are see there you go perfect man so uh welcome to the
00:42:46show for this for the third time because we did talk we talked on the on at the comic con the tampa
00:42:50comic con oh my goodness i made you really big uh we talked on the tampa comic con and then um we did
00:42:56uh what else did we do oh yeah we did the first one when uh you you emailed the radio station and we
00:43:01got you on and then tampa comic con when you were over there well with the luchaverse um your you
00:43:07wrote that you helped uh with that talk a little bit about the luchaverse before we move on to your
00:43:12kickstarter um so the luchaverse was a uh a partnership between cheeto comics which is owned
00:43:19by ivan plaza um he's a comic book publisher um and and basically uh it was a deal between him
00:43:28and mass republic they're a brand that deals with wrestlers a lot of luchadors you know mexican
00:43:33wrestlers and stuff like that and they deal with like you know people that know wrestling they deal
00:43:38with like ray mysterio and uh lucha bros and um conan and a bunch of other people um and they you
00:43:48know uh wanted to do this world basically kind of like you know because luchadors are basically
00:43:54superheroes so they kind of like wanted to do the whole marvel dc thing um yeah so they went to because
00:44:01ivan had previous success doing that for um el ray he used to work at el ray and he did that with
00:44:07their whole lucha underground you know they had the lucha underground show and they did a bunch of
00:44:11lucha underground comics you know um sort of like telling you what goes on when you're not watching
00:44:16you know lucha underground right um so basically uh mass republic wanted you know something similar
00:44:22but you know marvel dc type thing um ivan uh chose me to work with him on it uh we basically created
00:44:30the uh the whole world you know backstory you know we did the whole jack kirby stanley type thing yeah
00:44:36i read some of them it was very they're very entertaining they're very good especially if
00:44:40you're a fan of of wrestling yeah i'm a fan of ray mysterio and all that you know all that mexican
00:44:46wrestling yeah i enjoyed it we did thanks we did five one shots and we treated them like you know
00:44:53superhero stuff yeah it's kind of like fast and furious meets you know ray mysterio
00:44:58yeah you know he he did uh we did uh let's see the the you know the the conan one was you know
00:45:07played up more like j.i joe the uh super astro and solar was more played like you know 50s
00:45:13you know superheroes right uh very over the top like when superman could move planets and all that
00:45:18um you know we had tnie edless jr that was like hellboy um and then we have the lucha brothers which
00:45:25was inspired by like street fighter and uh streets of rage and final fight and all that and then we
00:45:30had ray mysterio and he's kind of like you know the captain america type with powers you know um that
00:45:36he eventually gets and he's like sort of like the the the the epitome of the whole thing and there's
00:45:41like you know we did this whole like how there's been other ray mysterios and there is the first
00:45:44mask of the first ray mysterio and he finds it and it grants him powers and all this stuff we did
00:45:49very classic he pulp you know kirby stanley stuff and they did very well lucha brothers sold out a
00:45:55bunch of the books sold out the trade paperback and the limited edition hardcover comes out this
00:46:00fall nice um that's going to get announced i think this weekend i think the date of when it's coming
00:46:05out is going to get announced this weekend at lucha expo and i think vegas or something like that
00:46:10great great so now eisner winner marco lopez who has to sign my my puerto rico
00:46:19strong book eventually one of these days um the new project the new kickstarter which i'm going to
00:46:26show some people watching the video right now uh which is uh the strange encounters tell me
00:46:31how this came about and why uh years ago like i don't know maybe like two or three years ago
00:46:41probably like three when i first met derrick derrick uh i think was or is still the publisher
00:46:48for double brothers double brothers is the company that like you know they pioneered the whole
00:46:53thing back in the i think late 90s early 2000s of like adapting novels into comics like popular novels
00:46:59like anita blake and you know george r r martin stuff before george r martin was you know known
00:47:05every before everybody knew who george r martin was you know the creator you know game of thrones and
00:47:10all that right um you know so they they pioneered that whole thing of adapting popular novels you know
00:47:16um that had huge fan bases that you know they knew like hey these are the type of things that
00:47:20comic book fans would love too um and so they worked with like you know image and i believe those image
00:47:27and dynamite and marvel and you know they they you know did that whole thing and it made it really
00:47:32popular um you know so derrick's like worked with them and you know other publishers and a few years
00:47:39ago when i was becoming friends with him he was telling me about this project that he wanted to do
00:47:43um you know which was similar but taking these uh newish authors i don't want to say new because
00:47:50they put out a lot of books right but um and and doing but then they have like these rabid fan bases
00:47:56and they and they do what's called in uh horror prose it's like a subgenre called paranormal romance
00:48:02and the only reason they call it paranormal romance is because women write the books so if women write
00:48:08supernatural books it's called paranormal romance unlike if a man writes a supernatural book
00:48:12it's just called a cool horror novel um okay so he knew all these authors and he wants to do this
00:48:19anthology where it's like it would include original stories that weren't adapted from any book and then
00:48:24it would include stories adapted from these you know these popular um indie indie novels i guess you
00:48:29could say these women are like independent pro uh prose novelists um and then basically you know do that
00:48:36whole thing that he did with you know when he uh with devil brothers uh you know bridging the gap
00:48:41between uh prose and comic books and you know showing the prose audience you know how awesome
00:48:46this is in comic books and then you know showing comic books you know these genres and stories they
00:48:51might not know about and they're just doing in all comics and just doing a really cool horror
00:48:54you know um uh anthology um you know we call it strange encounters if this one's a success
00:49:01the second volume will be called something else i don't remember the names uh there it does there it does
00:49:06uh there's two original stories all right um that i'm right that i wrote and then the four other
00:49:14are adapted from the from the ladies that are involved um from their novels ah okay so cool so there's a
00:49:21little little um uh association with their stories in this yeah uh anthology that's cool that brings
00:49:30their fans to the to the table right yep um you know that and that's the plan it's kind of like
00:49:37you know the bridging you know bridging the gap because i mean if you look at the landscape of
00:49:42novels and the landscape of comics the only difference is that one's with pictures and the
00:49:48other one's not with pictures so pretty much everything you find in novels you also find in
00:49:52comics and everything you find in comics you find in novels even now yeah a lot of a lot of stuff
00:49:57that's popping up in novels you see a lot of like superhero novels popping up and not based on marvel
00:50:01dc stuff like original superhero novels um so you know it's a very big there's a there's a very big
00:50:08cross-pollination uh we believe with the audiences there cool cool so um this kickstarter um you got
00:50:17about it says here you got about 24 days to go and uh you're still still um a little away from the
00:50:26goal so go ahead and invite everyone to go back your project so we can have this great product out
00:50:36for them to read and enjoy uh so you want me to do like a pitch thing yeah tell them go to the

00:51:59any type they're all supernatural horror type stories you know uh anybody you know whether you're
00:52:06you're a guy woman you know all stuff that you're gonna love that you know gory action yeah you know
00:52:10that type of stuff you know anything you've seen in the action horror movie anything you've seen in
00:52:14blade hellboy buffy all that type of stuff you know it's like that the um one of the what we call
00:52:21the wraparound story um is this is an original creation because this is also the the debut of
00:52:27our label king skull comics ah very good this is what we're going to be doing like to create our own
00:52:32stuff through and so in this volume is also the debut of an original creation um and she's called uh
00:52:39izzy de soto and she's this puerto rican who's been around for like 150 200 years um and she's
00:52:46basically immortal her what she does is you know she hunts monsters you know she's like a monster
00:52:50hunter right you know um and that's what she does and she's been doing it for a long time um so the
00:52:55cover of the anthology it's her in the 80s um and then the story is going to be so that that uh cover
00:53:03is basically the kind of like the beginning of the story because basically when you the the her story is
00:53:07going to be the bookend so it's going to start off and then you're going to go into the other stories
00:53:11and then it's going to end and her story takes place in louisiana um and so it start it starts
00:53:18off from where that cover starts off and then it continues into there and she's basically this
00:53:22character that exists across you know all decades because she's lived for so long and we wanted to
00:53:28create a you know puerto rican badass you know action female monster hunting type character like it
00:53:33and you know and put her out into the world and the great thing is she's been around for so long
00:53:37we could play it you know 30s 50s late 1800s you know right you don't have to set it in one timeline
00:53:42yeah i like it definitely down board for that's okay so drop everything so they could follow you

00:54:5720 like you said 24 and 24 more to go and we've done about 34 35 of our goal great in six days so
00:55:07that's not bad considering yeah um kickstarters are basically like a second job in themselves
00:55:12but uh but yeah um we also have um a variant cover uh so there's the regular cover by jess taylor
00:55:22and then uh she's worked for like um lion forge um and other publishers and then the variant cover
00:55:29is going to be by brett booth i think i just showed it to them but let me go back to it real quick
00:55:33so they can see it it's just a uh art in progress right yeah bright brett booth right now brett
00:55:40who's worked for dc wild storm mara marvel uh he's working right now for valiant and dc um yeah so
00:55:48brett booth's doing the variant cover i believe it's set in the 70s um his variant cover um so
00:55:55uh you know there's an option for that there's there's tiers for you know covers plus prints
00:56:00um then there's the stretch goals that if you know we make it to goal there's a variety of stretch goals
00:56:06that includes like bookmarks pins um other prints from other artists um in the business you know with
00:56:12uh and the prints are basically of izzy de soto in different eras like one's in the 1930s
00:56:16the other one's in 1990s at a grudge concert uh where she's like killing she's like fighting
00:56:21off these demons and zombies um the other one is not you know if we may if we may none of the
00:56:26stretch goal is you know hard cover um you know it's a variety of stretch goals there to you know
00:56:32make the book you know more you know um cooler more you know more of a collectible yeah and then
00:56:39you know extra stuff to throw up throw at people you know great great also thank you so much for
