00:38President Xi arrived in Malaysia on Tuesday at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.
00:46This marked Xi's second visit to the country in 12 years,
00:49the previous one being in 2013 when Malaysia and China elevated their ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
00:58On Wednesday, Xi was accorded a state welcoming ceremony,
01:02followed by an audience and state banquet with Sultan Ibrahim at Istana Nagara.
01:07During a bilateral meeting at the Sri Pardana Complex,
01:10Prime Minister Anwar and President Xi discussed efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation
01:16and exchange views on regional and international matters of mutual interest.
01:20The two leaders also witnessed the exchange of 31 memoranda of understanding,
01:26MOUs, agreements, and official notes between Malaysia and China.
01:31Xi later attended an official dinner hosted by Anwar.
01:35Xi's visit to Malaysia was part of his three-nation Southeast Asian tour,
01:40which included Vietnam and Cambodia.
