00:00Hi folks, I was at Essenton earlier today where I spoke to Matt Sadler ahead of Walsall's Good Friday clash against Harrogate Town at Bescott.
00:11And criticism has intensified among the fan base in the wake of last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Barrow,
00:20which extended their winless run to 10 games, now just two wins in 17 in League 2.
00:26And they were spared the misery of falling out of the automatic promotion places altogether after Doncaster were held to a 1-1 draw at Salford in their game in hand on Tuesday night.
00:36But just goal difference separates Walsall in third to Doncaster in fourth spot as it stands.
00:42So destiny still in Walsall's hands, but Matt Sadler said about seizing the initiative and that they need to reverse this run of form.
00:50Hard work will be the foundation to that and create the platform for them to turn things around.
00:58And when I talked to him about his views on the criticism that himself and the players have received of late,
01:05he said that that comes with the privilege of being involved in professional football
01:10and that he won't be hiding from that criticism.
01:15He said the players will keep communicating, keep trying to find a way through.
01:21And also had an interesting conversation with Tommy Simpkin, actually,
01:25where he talked about urging the fans, really, to judge Walsall at the end of the season.
01:32There's still four games left.
01:34He understands the frustration and what the supporters must be going through.
01:39But right now, they just need that final push over the finish line.
01:45In terms of team news, just a short one, really, is that Jack Aaron and Josh Gordon have been back in training,
01:53as has been the case now for a little while, but they won't be available.
01:56And Priestley-Farkerson also not expected to be involved once again.
