00:00Polish authorities say they have retrieved two bodies from the Bug River on the border with Belarus.
00:07They are believed to belong to two men who had attempted to cross the border into Poland illegally.
00:13The Polish border guard said there has been an upward trend of attempted border crossings,
00:18with 300 attempts to cross the Polish-Belarusian border in the Lublin province this year.
00:23The Polish Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs accused Belarus of having pushed the two people whose bodies were found
00:29into the river, claiming it to be a tactic of provocation used by Belarus.
00:35Warsaw says Belarus lures asylum seekers to the Polish border in collaboration with Russian President Vladimir Putin to destabilize Poland.
00:44In March, Poland temporarily suspended the right of migrants arriving from Belarus to apply for asylum.
00:50Human rights groups have criticized the move, saying it would worsen an already existing humanitarian crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border.
00:59Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says he's not overly optimistic or pessimistic about the outcome of talks with the US,
01:10which will begin their second round on Saturday.
01:13Khamenei went on to say the red lines are clear for both sides and urged officials not to tie the country's affairs to the talks.
01:38Meanwhile, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff has told US media the upcoming talks will be on verification of uranium enrichment and weaponry.
01:49This is going to be much about verification on the enrichment program and then ultimately verification on weaponization.
01:58That includes missiles, the type of missiles that they have stockpiled there and it includes the trigger for a bomb.
02:08Witkoff went on to echo President Trump's sentiments that if the talks are not positive, the US will have to, quote, seek alternatives.
02:17French Justice Minister Gérard Damana has met with officers at Toulon prison to offer his support after the entrance of the detention centre was hit with a barrage of gunfire overnight.
02:33Toulon prison was one of several to be targeted with attacks across France.
02:40Vehicles were also set on fire in car parks with facilities in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, Valence-à-Nîmes, Luine, Nanterre and Villepinte.
02:52Darmanin believes the attacks were coordinated and linked to the French government's plans to tighten laws against organized drug-related crime.
03:07For the fourth Tuesday in a row, a demonstration was held in Budapest to protest against the restrictions of the law on assembly organized by independent MP Akos Hadhazi.
03:20Several hundred protesters marched up to the presidential palace across the closed Elizabeth Bridge.
03:39In Hungary, unfortunately, there was still a change in Hungary that the government would have spoken to each other.
03:50Because this law is unfortunately a kind of a liberalism, especially the liberalism,
04:00because others don't come up. Others see everything, I don't know,
04:07and I don't know, the doctors are being taken away, but that's not enough.
04:13When a child has a small amount of weight, it means that the doctors have a lot of weight.
04:18I'm waiting for one half a year for a surgery.
04:21I'm waiting for another half a year.
04:23This is the health care process.
04:25For another half a year for my surgery, the orthopedic said that it will be five years later.
04:32Or it will be paid for three million people immediately.
04:36According to Hadhazi, whose immunity was suspended by parliament on Monday,
04:42this series of protests could have two outcomes.
04:45Either people will accept the government's decisions, or more people will come out.
04:50I want to say that we won't let this happen.
04:56On Monday, the Fidesz Majority National Assembly passed the 15th Amendment to the fundamental law,
05:03which prioritizes the protection of children over the right to freedom of assembly.
05:12At the offices of the Macedonia Thrace Brewery, one of Greece's largest breweries, there is a wait-and-see attitude.
05:23The last shipments of the company's beer and tea have left for New York,
05:27and the next shipments will not leave for several weeks.
05:30They say their American customers haven't yet mentioned the tariffs,
05:35and hope that by the time the 90-day pause expires, the US and the European Union will have reached an agreement.
05:42Are you serious?
05:44Are you serious?
05:45It's a matter of fact.
05:46It is a matter of fact.
05:47It is a matter of fact that we have to estimate with a number of people
05:49and to see how all this process will affect the effects of our activities.
05:53This situation will obviously affect the externalities of our activities.
05:58In this case, we don't argue, because we have provided the cost and the requirements
06:06which we can't wait until now
06:09and to continue to be a part of the part of the externalities of the United States
06:14and in the Vergina and at the site of the Vunu.
06:17The issue of tariffs dominates every discussion at economic forums and business meetings in Greece.
06:39Greek companies hope that the quality and specificity of Greek products
06:43will protect their market shares in the United States
06:46even if high tariffs are eventually imposed.
06:49The Vunu is the matcha tea of Greece.
06:53And this is something exciting.
06:55It is the Greek chlorine, the votanam, the Greek cider.
07:00It is the brand that will be sold in global markets.
07:03The iFore product, again, is an amazing idea
07:07that we learn about what it means in Greek tea.
07:11And this makes a brand for Greece and for us, of course.
07:16And this is something that all the buyers are looking for.
07:21Greek exports to the United States are not extensive,
07:24but there is concern in the country.
07:27Greece relies largely on Europe for its exports and tourism,
07:31and a trade war with the United States could indirectly affect the Greek economy.
07:36Spain celebrates Holy Week with processions like these in Zamora.
07:47There are over 30 internationally recognized tourist attractions
07:50with religious processions being the most striking.
07:53While some are already on the streets,
07:55others, like Jesus de Merinaceli in Madrid,
07:58are preparing for their big day.
08:00Among its devotees is the king of Spain.
08:04They are slaves of honor and they are protectors of the archicofradia.
08:07Since Fernando VII, they are protectors of the archicofradia.
08:09For us, it is a pride.
08:11At the end, the real house,
08:13since the architect of the archicofradia,
08:16we have called the real house,
08:17there is always a component of the real house.
08:20This statue dates back to the 17th century
08:23and was once captured in Morocco.
08:25It was later recovered and brought to Madrid.
08:28Thousands venerated during Holy Week.
08:31The Europeans, I think, know what it is.
08:34They are more or less, they imagine,
08:35because the Holy Semana is known at the international level.
08:39The most complicated is how you explain to an Asiatic
08:43when you see us there.
08:45People are closed,
08:46like the Ku Klux Klan,
08:48and they have to explain it.
08:51The archicofradia of Jesus de Medinaceli
08:53is one of the most fieles in the city of Madrid.
08:56The Saturday morning,
08:57the day of its opening,
08:59miles of people are concentrated on the streets of the capital.
09:02Devoters, but also tourists
09:04that come to this unique event.
09:06We have to say that Madrid is the fourth European destination
09:09in the Semana Santa
09:10with a 90% of the hotel occupation
09:13along with the Lord,
09:14the Virgin of the Dolores,
09:16in his soledad.
09:17Tourists flock to Spain for the processions,
09:20mostly Americans,
09:21followed by the British, Mexicans and Colombians.
09:24We saw a lot of processions
09:30and we became very inspiring
09:33because that doesn't happen in Latin America.
09:35It happens, but not with that profusion that happens here.
09:38I like it, I like it.
09:40In fact, this is a point.
09:41I will enjoy with my family
09:43after doing all the thanksgiving,
09:46all the ritual.
09:47Andalusia's holy week also attracts many tourists.
09:59Nearly a million are expected to join devotees
10:02experiencing faith, spirituality and tradition.
10:05China's economy expanded at 5.4% annual pace in the first quarter of 2024,
10:15surpassing analysts' expectations.
10:18This growth was supported by strong exports
10:21which preceded U.S. President Donald Trump's
10:23rapid increase in tariffs on Chinese goods.
10:25Now, uncertainties loom as trade tensions escalate,
10:29but Chinese officials believe that U.S. tariffs
10:31will not change the overriding trend of China's economic growth.
10:35To counter external issues and problems that arise due to sluggish domestic demand
10:59and the housing market,
11:00Beijing has rolled out further stimulus measures,
11:03including raising its budget deficit to 4% of GDP,
11:06which is the highest in three decades,
11:08as part of a highly proactive fiscal strategy.
11:12China also lowered its inflation target to 2% for 2024
11:16and introduced measures to boost household incomes and consumer spending.
11:21March data revealed impressive gains across key sectors.
11:24And although Chinese stock markets struggled amid escalating U.S.-China trade tensions,
11:29the Yuan remained stable against the dollar.
11:33China appointed a new top international trade negotiator on Wednesday
11:36to be able to navigate the ongoing conflicts.
11:38.
11:43.
