00:29Protests erupted four months ago after a concrete awning collapsed at a train station in northern
00:34Serbia killing 15 people.
00:37The weekend rally was dubbed 15 for 15, referring to the date of the protests and the number
00:41of victims.
00:43The crowds fell silent for 15 minutes to honor each of the victims.
00:48Many in Serbia blame the awning collapse on rampant government corruption, negligence
00:52and disrespect of construction safety regulations.
00:56Protesters are demanding officials responsible for this tragedy to be held to account.
01:06Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic addressed the people shortly after the rally.
01:11The Serbian leader acknowledged the people's demands, noting that officials in power have
01:15to change themselves and learn a lot.

02:20UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer calls Ukraine the party of peace and says Putin is trying
02:27to delay a ceasefire during a press conference which followed a virtual meeting with allies
02:33on Saturday.
02:34Starmer clarified what allies had discussed that morning.
02:38We agreed we will keep increasing the pressure on Russia, keep the military aid flowing to
02:44Ukraine and keep tightening restrictions on Russia's economy to weaken Putin's war
02:51machine and bring him to the table.
02:54During his virtual meeting, Starmer said Putin will sooner or later have to come to the table,
03:00calling allies to keep the pressure on Putin to back a ceasefire in Ukraine.
03:06On Thursday, allied militaries will meet in the UK to discuss what part they shall play
03:12in the peace deal and how they will guarantee Ukraine's future and security.
03:22At least 32 people were killed as a massive storm system triggered tornadoes, wildfires
03:27and heavy rains across the United States.
03:30Officials say the storm covers an area that is home to more than 100 million people in

03:59A state of emergency was declared by governors of Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas and Oklahoma
04:05who are bracing for even more severe conditions.
04:08The storms triggered more than 100 wildfires.
04:11Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stills says blazes in his state burnt an area of almost 700 square
04:16kilometers.
04:22Cuba was hit with a massive power outage on Friday night, leaving millions of people in
04:27the dark.
04:29The outage left 42 percent of the national energy system shut down, according to the
04:34Electric Union.
04:36Power outages are not unusual in Cuba and are primarily caused by fuel shortages and
04:41aging infrastructure.
04:43Authorities on the island have begun a program to install photovoltaic parks and promise
04:48that dozens of them will be ready this year.
