00:00I met the nationwide observance of Holy Week and with scorching temperatures affecting the country,
00:05several lawmakers are urging the public to take extra precautions against various heat-related illnesses.
00:11House Committee on Health chairperson Siriaco Gatto Jr. reminded the public that the best defense against heat-related illnesses
00:18is avoiding direct exposure to the sun and staying well hydrated.
00:23Agri-Party List representative Wilbert Lee also advised that in case of heat stroke or other illnesses brought on by extreme heat,
00:30it's important for everyone to know that PhilHealth will cover the cost of hospitalization.
00:35Meanwhile, some senators also had a few Holy Week reminders for the public.
00:40Senator Bongravili advised motorists to ensure their vehicles and themselves are in good condition,
00:45especially when traveling long distances.
00:47Senator Grace Poe reminded the management of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, or NAIA,
00:53to make sure that travel facilities are in good condition and fully operational to accommodate the influx of passengers.
00:59For Senator Joel Villanueva, Holy Week is also a time for reflection.
01:04He encouraged the public to live out their faith through humility, forgiveness, and acts of kindness,
01:10especially towards the sick and those facing hardships.
