00:00A few days before the House of Representatives goes on recess, lawmakers are working tirelessly
00:05to pass several vital bills.
00:08House Bill Number 11357, seeking to amend the Universal Health Care Act, is now approved
00:14on the third and final reading.
00:16Under the said bill, the premium contribution rates at PhilHealth will be lowered and benefits
00:22will be expanded, especially for OFWs.
00:24Meanwhile, the House of Representatives also approved on final reading the bill seeking
00:29to classify actions of nuisance candidates as election offenses, also the bill pushing
00:35to strengthen the Bureau of Animal Industry and the creation of an Animal Competitiveness
00:39Enhancement Fund, and the bill seeking to allow the internment of Filipino sports heroes
00:45at Ilibingan ng mga Bayani, together two proposals pushing to enhance the tax measures for tobacco
00:52products in the country.
00:54While good news for Filipino workers because the House Bill Number 11376 that pushed to
01:00provide a 200 peso daily wage increase for minimum wage workers on the private sector
01:05also passed in the second hearing.
