Catch the moment when the first all-woman crew of the 21st century, including singer Katy Perry, took off for space from Texas in the US on Monday evening.

00:22New Shepard has cleared the tower.

00:56Again throttle down to Q limiting.
01:00Engine response looks good.
01:15Max Q, maximum dynamic pressure.
01:21Mach 1, vehicle is supersonic.
01:23Engine back up to full throttle.
01:28We have passed through max Q, maximum dynamic pressure.
01:32That's when the vehicle, the stresses between the atmosphere and the speed are at the maximum.
01:38So to punch through that is so important.
01:40You see the BA-3 engines.
01:43It's firing beautifully.
01:44You see the stream of steam behind it.
01:49Those ladies right now are having an incredible view on their way to space.
01:55Passing through 80,000 feet, 1,300 miles per hour.
02:01You're going to peak at about 2,300 miles an hour over Mach 3, three times the speed of sound.
02:07Shortly coming up, we'll have MECO main engine cut off.
02:16We will turn off the engine, but the two craft, the capsule and the booster, will continue their
02:23descent to space.

02:40We're now going to separate the capsule from the booster.
