Tyreek Hill is making headlines once again... His wife files for divorce after police were called to their home for a domestic dispute by her mother, no crime was committed according to police. Should the Dolphins move on from Hill, is the window for this team already closed? Is he a declining superstar who walked out on his team?

00:00I said, I still don't know what a golden goal is.
00:03It's not a thing.
00:05And I'm not going to ask Tobin.
00:09It's a silly nonsensical thing made up by RVA Ritchie,
00:14and I won't hear otherwise.
00:15Anyway, headlines are brought to you by Doral Volkswagen.
00:18Doral Volkswagen shoes for over 300 new Volkswagen models in stock
00:20with the Tijuana Towson Atlas.
00:21And remember, when it comes to Volkswagen,
00:23the great deals are at Doral Volkswagen.
00:27Tyree Kill, huh?
00:30Let me explain something.
00:33I don't know how he has all the injury to do that.
00:37Him and his wife have been filed for divorce one other time.
00:44It was a mistake.
00:45Okay.
00:45Clerical error is what they claim.
00:47Is this one a mistake?
00:48Clerical error.
00:49No, I don't think this one's a mistake.
00:51That's like, you know, that's the equivalent to when Mel took Dre to the vet,
00:57he went to get neutered.
01:01And he looks up and goes, I thought I was getting my nail checked.
01:06Right?
01:07Right.
01:07I thought you were going to say when Meemaw was the witness to Frog Boy's wedding
01:11and she used a red pen.
01:13No.
01:13That's hilarious.
01:14That was hilarious because me and Marcos, I was showing them something.
01:18And come back.
01:19And the three ladies were in there signing.
01:21And I said, hey, by the way, you're married.
01:24They were probably laughing while doing it.
01:27Yeah.
01:27Yeah.
01:28So yesterday, a report came out.
01:30The police were called at Tyreek Hill's house.
01:33Apparently, the call was made by his mother-in-law.
01:35He was arguing with his wife, Kida Hill, and that they were arguing.
01:43He threw, apparently, according to police, a laptop on the ground, grabbed his baby,
01:48and went out to the balcony.
01:50There was some footage that was out from local 10.
01:54That wasn't like Tuesday, but the police did.
01:57They didn't serve.
01:58They didn't charge him with any crime.
01:59They closed the case.
02:00They did see a bruise on her that she said it wasn't a big deal.
02:04She didn't even want any filing of it, but they still did one.
02:08And, you know, another bad headline with Tyreek Hill to go along with, you know,
02:13him walking out on the team, kind of demanding a trade publicly,
02:18trolling on Twitter.
02:20And, you know, just add it on the list of what's been just a golden end of the year for Tyreek Hill.
02:27I would say he should reboot, right?
02:34Stay away for a minute.
02:37Go to another country or something.
02:40Do whatever.
02:41You and, well, whatever you got going on with your wife, all your kids,
02:49y'all going on vacation somewhere because you cannot.
02:57And here's the most important thing.
03:00I got in a little trouble every now and then.
03:02Nothing like this.
03:04But my only issue was I wasn't a captain.
03:08I was young.
03:09Yeah.
03:09We, as media, go to him and talk to him like he's a leader.
03:20Tyreek is not a leader.
03:22Your best player doesn't necessarily mean you're a leader.
03:27And so I think the fact that the team and the coaching staff made that assumption.
03:36Now we all go to Tyreek for everything because he's so-called leader.
03:43But maybe he's not the guy that should be relaying the message of the team.
03:48He's definitely not.
03:49He's definitely not the leader of the team, but he definitely is the voice of the Dolphins publicly
03:55because he talks the most.
03:57Like, even if it's not to the media, he talks with his thumbs on Twitter all the time.
04:02You understand that that doesn't make it true because you run your mouth.
04:08It doesn't make what true?
04:09Like, you, you, how did he become a spokesman for it?
04:13I mean, since he was traded here.
04:15He was doing that when he got traded here and he was saying Tua was better or more accurate than Patrick Mahomes.
04:21Everything that he says grabs a headline.
04:24He's a headline grabber, dude.
04:25Right.
04:26He is.
04:26I got you.
04:27But this is, this is the, you know, I don't expect the Dolphins to release him because obviously they're not going to release him.
04:35But you can't even get a, you can't even get an order of oxtail for him.
04:41Not now.
04:42No, there's no way.
04:44There's no way.
04:44Which is going to make most people think we should have pulled this trigger when we had the chance.
04:49We should have, you know, if there were questions, then I personally think if you're Mike McDaniel and you're Chris Greer and your job is at stake this year.
05:06Can you go into it with that wild card?
05:10Now, in fairness, I will, I will say this.
05:16Once Tyreek puts the uniform on, no problems.
05:21He going to play hard.
05:22He going to do what he got to do.
05:24It's all the time off.
05:26Yeah.
05:27Where he just can't, like, this is now what, two off seasons?
05:35This is the second off season he was getting divorced.
05:38Then they had the boat situation.
05:40They had the Marina situation.
05:41Marina situation.
05:43But the big, when did he break the girl's leg?
05:45That was, that was sometime over the summer.
05:48Summer.
05:48But summer.
05:49Didn't that happen like once or twice too?
05:51What?
05:51In two different instances, him dealing with a model.
05:54There was, like, two different incidences, right?
05:58I don't know.
05:58All I know is that the chick from England, right?
06:05Yeah, the chick from England who's suing him because she apparently broke his leg.
06:09She broke her leg on his property.
06:11Why are you trying to cover number one?
06:14But, like, the thing that's, the thing that's different here out of everything else, it's not even so much, you know, about, hey, Tyreek's always been a guy who's come with baggage.
06:22He's had baggage, literally came into the NFL with baggage, with, you know, his domestic violence stuff in college.
06:28I got him kicked out of college from the stuff that he had with his kid in Kansas City.
06:33He's always been a guy with baggage.
06:34This now comes with the idea of, is he a declining superstar who also walked out on his team, who also was a captain, who also kind of implied he wants out of Miami and now has been doing damage control ever since, and now is also still dealing with his off-the-field baggage on top of all of the football stuff.
06:56Here's what you have to ask yourself, and here's what the Dolphins are asking themselves.
07:00Is it worth it?
07:03See, here's guys who are off the field a terror.
07:09They ain't going to, like, you hope they show up.
07:12But if they show up, you ain't got to worry about them playing, and their contributions far exceed any trouble they get in.
07:21That's what needs to be asked.
07:25See, life is about tolerating, right?
07:30Sometimes you meet a nice individual, smoking hot.
07:34This is a male or a female, right?
07:37And you go, not the brightest bulb in the box.
07:42But then you say, man, who he or she is?
07:48I'll take the L.
07:49You probably knew, like, when, look, when they traded for Tyreek Hill, you knew it was going to be, like, a wild ride.
07:56Like, it's like, oh, my God.
07:58Watching this man play football is addicting as a fan to see him at the peak of his powers.
08:03But also, hey, there's a reason Kansas City didn't keep him around.
08:08So let me ask you.
08:09I make you Mike McDaniel or Chris Greer.
08:13You know how important this season is.
08:17Can you go into it?
08:19Can you depend on Tyreek Hill if it means keeping your job?
08:27Oh, I don't think so.
08:28But here's the thing.
08:30This is where, unfortunately, like, I don't know what happened with the Tyreek Hill.
08:36It doesn't seem like a great situation.
08:37If your mother-in-law is calling the cops on you because of how you're behaving around your wife.
08:42That's not a great situation.
08:43But the personal stuff aside, like, whatever you, whatever happened or whatever anybody wants to say, no crimes.
08:51It doesn't matter.
08:52It's another log on the fire.
08:54And everything follows him.
08:55So if the Dolphins were planning to trade him or they were planning, how do you do it now?
09:00Because what are you going to get for him?
09:02And so then you also have to ask yourself, all right, so what's it worth?
09:05Do we just walk away?
09:07Do we just not have him on the team?
09:09Where do you go from there?
09:10What does it mean for our salary cap?
09:12Like, those are the choices you do make when you get into it with Tyreek Hill.
09:16And maybe he's also just not as good as he used to be.
09:19Here's the problem.
09:22And the problem with all this is this.
09:28If you're Tyreek Hill, you just live life.
09:31Because just like the Dolphins were, there's going to be another team that thinks Tyreek can get us over the hump.
09:39And I'm starting to think Tyreek might have a little jimmy in him, being that, oh, it's all good when I first get there and everything's being taken care of.
09:56But I can do this and I can do that.
09:58And then it wears off.
10:00Yeah, but here's the difference.
10:02The Dolphins paid him last year.
10:04Like, they gave him a raise for no reason last year.
10:06Well, they did take care of him.
10:08They didn't necessarily give him a raise because the way these money.
10:14They gave him more guaranteed money.
10:15They probably gave him more guaranteed money.
10:19But the amount of money that counts against the cap, that's how they go about getting cap space.
10:26Give a guy.
10:27So if you're going to make, say, three years, $60 million, right?
10:32But only $20 of it was guaranteed.
10:34I'm guaranteed $30 of it.
10:36But you only count.
10:36They didn't want a Zavian Howard-Maxwell situation, right?
10:39Remember when that happened where they paid a new cornerback and they paid him higher than Zavian Howard, even though Zavian Howard thought that he was better?
10:46They paid Jalen Waddle last year and they knew the cheater was going to be like, mm-mm.
10:50He's not going to be the number one paid receiver.
10:52I'm number one player in the NFL.
10:53And so they gave him a bump last year.
10:55But the question now is, and I know that he was dealing with the wrist thing, had something done with his knee where he had stem cells or something that he said, he is 30.
11:07Like, when does that fastest man on the field, like, when does that, like, the other thing is, like, it's also, is he declining on top of all that?
11:18So while this is, yeah, this is just another thing to add on top of it, you already had the backdrop of you were doing damage control with him anyway because of how he ended the year.
11:27I would say this, I'm not worried about declining yet, right?
11:36I would say last year's lack of productivity had more to do with Mike McDaniel than Tyreek.
11:45That being said, like, a 30-year-old wide receiver is not like a 30-year-old running back.
11:51It's not like a 30-year-old lineman or anything like that.
11:54So just because he's 30, that doesn't mean anything.
11:59You can run fast for a long time.
12:02My problem is how is what he's doing and some of the things he's doing on the football field affecting everybody else?
12:16Because as a coach, Mike McDaniel could come in and say, look, guys, we can't have any of this, all right?
12:27And we decided to go this direction because of it.
12:32But, and Mike and Chris Greer got to have a conversation is, would you put your job on the line?
12:39Would you put your job on the line?
12:41Because you know, if this goes sideways, you know what that means, right?
12:45That means we're fired.
12:46Yeah.
12:47So.
12:48But this is going to be like the defining thing of Chris Greer's tenure with it, right?
12:51And that's kind of what one of the things those guys are wrestling with right now is they probably already passed their window with the stars on this team.
13:00You think?
13:01Yeah, probably.
13:02I don't think.
13:03See.
13:03Because, Leroy, you lost Christian Wilkins, Bradley Chubb got hurt, Tyreek Hill's not as good, Tua didn't stay healthy.
13:10Tyreek Hill didn't have a good year.
13:12Okay, fine.
13:12I don't think it's not.
13:14No, but.
13:14Semantics.
13:15When you say he's not as good, like.
13:17Do you think he's going to have a, do you think he's going to have another, do you think Tyreek Hill has another 1,800-yard season in him?
13:23No.
13:24I'd say he'd be around 1,500.
13:25Okay.
13:261,400-1,500.
13:27That's like, that's one of the greatest seasons ever.
13:30It's an incredible year.
13:30Why are you making it a norm?
13:32I'm not, I'm not making it a norm, but.
13:33You are!
13:34He nearly had half his yards last year.
13:36It literally, it nearly was cut in half.
13:38A lot of that, maybe the injury played a role in it, but I'm telling you, a lot of it was all them damn bubble screams.
13:44Okay.
13:46I'm, they didn't throw the ball down the field.
13:49That's not Tyreek's fault.
13:52And Mike pretty much said that.
13:55Yeah, of course you're going to say that.
13:56Why would you say that?
13:56Because since we can watch the TV and see it, you're throwing all these little short passes.
14:01Okay.
14:02And not extend in the field.
14:03All right.
14:03For whatever reason.
14:04Maybe.
14:05Maybe.
14:06But also, okay.
14:07You don't think, hold on, Leroy.
14:08Leroy, Leroy.
14:09You can't say, I'm not, can we just say this?
14:12I'm not disagreeing with you, but you're going to say it's 0% that he's not going to be the player that he is?
14:18Because a player does, happens all the time.
14:21Where a receiver, Cooper Cup, same thing.
14:23Triple crown season, fell off the face of the air.
14:26Tyreek Hill was hurt last year.
14:27Not his legs.
14:28One of the cubs?
14:29One of the cubs?
14:30Okay.
14:31Here.
14:33Here's what I would say to you.
14:35That you sound like a fan because you're determining Tyreek's rise and fall based only on numbers.
14:47And I would say it's pretty hard for Tyreek to have the same numbers that he had the year before if you're throwing them bubble screens for half the year.
14:59So, there's a little bit of both.
15:01I'm not here.
15:02I would say this.
15:05Tyreek dropped a lot of passes last year.
15:08Yeah.
15:09Okay.
15:09So, I don't know how to put that on the wrist or him or maybe he is declining.
15:16But I'm not going to chalk it up to one year and him being over 30.
15:20Because he plays a position that you can run and, you know, play a lot longer than, say, a running back.
15:29But the attitude and all the other stuff, as much as I'm defending his production last year, I can't defend all the other stuff.
15:41But if you want to bring it to a Jimmy thing, like the attitude and all that stuff, it wears thin.
15:46As you say, the tolerance when it's not as good.
15:48But I said the same thing when Jimmy was going through.
15:51I said, this is Tyreek and Jimmy.
15:53Samesies.
15:54Well, I don't want to say samesies.
15:56Here.
15:57Here's what I would say.
15:58Jimmy has given you, gave you more with the heat than Tyreek has with the Dolphins.
16:06And part of that is simply because of the position.
16:11Cap says the window is the size of a mouse hole, but it's still there.
16:15Well, good.
16:16The only people that can fit through, they're all our wide receivers.
16:21Malik, Jalen, come on!
16:22Right, like, like, we welcome you to Lollipop Man!
16:27Take a break.
16:28Can we get a giant?
