00:26Far Out recently rounded up a series of troubling stories about Murray
00:30on that film set, including throwing producer Laura Ziskin in a lake.
00:34Things were just as bad between the comedian
00:36and his What About Bob co-star Richard Dreyfuss.
00:38Dreyfuss told the A.V. Club,
00:40it was a terribly unpleasant experience and said,
00:43we didn't get along, me and Bill Murray.
00:44Bill just got drunk at dinner.
00:46He came back from dinner one night and I said,
00:48read this script tweak, I think it's really funny.
00:50Apparently Murray didn't like the rewrite.
00:52He put his face next to mine, Dreyfuss said,
00:54and he screamed at the top of his lungs.
00:56Everyone hates you, you are tolerated.
00:58He then apparently threw a glass-blown ashtray at Richard's head,
01:02but luckily missed him.
01:03Dreyfuss called him an Irish drunken bully.
01:05Things got so bad that filming actually halted at one point,
01:09and it only resumed after Disney hired some bodyguards
01:12to physically separate Richard Dreyfuss from Bill Murray in between takes.
01:15The stories continued to leak out years after the film's production,
01:19and Murray later justified his actions to Entertainment Weekly.
01:22He said,
01:22It worked for the movie.
01:23I mean, I drove him nuts and he encouraged me to drive him nuts.
01:26So hey,
01:27abusing Dreyfuss was just a form of method acting.
