A chippy manager has apologised to customers for raising prices amid surging costs - as he now charges £15 for cod and chips.
The Nippy Chippy in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, is now charging £15 for a large cod and chips and for £12.50 for normal portion.
The move comes after seeing the cost of fish surging by more than 60 per cent in just three months.
Manager Brad-Lee Navruz explained that customers were mostly "fine" about the increase but said there had been "a few shocked faces and raised eyebrows''.
Mr Navruz explained that he "feels bad" for the price increase.

00:00It's Bradley from the Nippy Chippy in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.
00:04We made a post recently about price changes, mainly due to the fish.
00:09Not really anything else has gone up, but the fish has gone up for three months since Christmas, 62.5%.
00:15And that's made a massive hit on us. We've been absorbing it for the past three months.
00:20We haven't touched our pricing. It was £10.30 for a fish and chips, but now it's gone up to £12.50.
00:26When you're putting up the prices a little bit, it's not really too much of a worry.
00:29Sometimes customers come in, they've got exact money, but you let them off so that they know for next time.
00:34But this time it's gone up £2.20.
00:37So it's a big price increase that customers obviously start to notice.
00:42So far we've had really good feedback with customers.
00:44They've said, why don't you explain what's happened?
00:47They've said you've got to do what you've got to do really.
00:49When it's gone up £2.20, obviously I can understand when I tell them the price that they're a bit shocked sometimes.
00:54But yeah, it's hard for everyone at the minute.
00:58It's not just obviously businesses. I'm not going on just about businesses. It's hard for everyone.
01:02Everyone's got to pay the price now really.
01:04But yeah, it's all obviously to do with the recent changes in the government of changing the fishing quotas.
01:10So it's gone down quite drastically from what we're allowed to fish now for cod and haddock.
01:16But obviously as a nation we eat lots of cod and haddock so I'm sure it will still have the supply of it.
01:22It'll just be that we're going to be paying a lot more than what we was previously paying for it.
01:26Especially on the seaside, obviously last season it was paying £12.50 to £15 for fish and chips anyway.
01:31Obviously it's starting to get towards summer. The sun's shining.
01:34So just be prepared to start hitting that £18, £20 figure for fish and chips.
01:39Obviously we're in a big industry discussion group on Facebook with all the fish and chip managers.
01:44And I have seen a few seaside owners already start saying that we're going to be worried about what we're charging for our customers now.
