The wellbeing charity moves into new premises in York Road as it expands its work
Transcript
00:00So I'm here with Angela Arnold and Travis Sherwood at the opening of Lillian's and the New Premises.
00:13What does this day mean to you?
00:15It's a huge day for us because we're celebrating with our partners and other charities.
00:20We're hardly thrilled to celebrate the opening of Lillian's and all the work and support that the community and our partners have given us.
00:26It's a good opportunity for people to see what we do and how we do it rather than just then we do it as people come down and say yes.
00:35And what will you be doing down here?
00:37It's about mental health support, supporting people who are struggling with their mental health and struggling with their feelings of anxiety
00:44and trying to learn people in different ways to call them supporting people within that way to make sure they get the support that they need.
00:51And just being there for people in a crisis if they need someone to talk to, people who are struggling with domestic violence
00:57and need that person to come and talk to and we'll be able to link them in to other services and get them the support they need.
01:02It's about getting people all the support that they need.
01:06Not everybody knows where to turn to or who to turn to.
01:09So we're kind of linking in the middle and kind of open.
01:12Strong reorganisation.
01:16This organisation picks up the people that fall through the cracks and actually saves lives every single day in our town.
01:25Heartley pour those Lillian's a debt of gratitude.
01:28It's the spirit of heart that we see right across our town.
01:31So I am so proud to see them expanding like this and improving these amazing e-premises, meaning that more people value, they'll get that support, picked up, supported, and set much out for the rest of their lives.
01:44We are officially open.
