00:00 So we're now in week 5 of 92 weeks, so early stages but we're making good progress due
00:11 to finish in November next year.
00:14 And what's actually happening at the moment?
00:16 So we're just putting the piling mat down at the moment, so that piling's commenced
00:20 at the other end, that's just getting us into preparation for the steel work that we'll
00:25 start in June.
00:26 Well I think we're a few weeks in now and I think you can see for yourself the place
00:30 is transforming quite quickly, it's got a plant on site, it's very exciting to see the
00:35 development of the place, materials are landing on site to reinforce the dam element that
00:39 we need to stop the water coming in, so in terms of general excitement about the project
00:43 start, it's difficult not to be excited.
00:47 How much of a difference will it make to Hartlepool and Linton people?
00:50 Huge, all of the business cases that the council have put forward in terms of regeneration
00:54 in the town have all been measured and tested.
00:57 Yes some of them are over budget due to the cost of living and materials going along,
01:01 we know all of the reasons why the budget has gone up on this, but the bottom line is
01:05 for me this is about decades worth of use.
01:07 The residents of Hartlepool and those from further afield are going to come and find
01:10 three fantastic pools and wider leisure activities within a building that's fit for purpose,
01:14 future proof and what's not to like about that, it's a fantastic opportunity.
01:18 - Thank you.
