00:00I'm in Let's Connect and I'm with Mark Doughty, Lead Practitioner. Mark, you've just had a lovely morning with the Mayor, how did it go today?
00:06It was amazing to see the Mayor come to our organisation, Let's Connect, to see what support we offer for people in the community.
00:13Our wellbeing support and getting people out, connecting and feeling part of the community is very important for mental health and wellbeing.
00:22I'm with the Mayor of Hartlepool, Councillor Carol Thomson, and I'm in Let's Connect. It's your first visit to the place, what's your thoughts?
00:29I think it's a wonderful place, isn't it? We're a really good feeling when you walk in the door, it's welcoming, it's warm, you know that everybody's valued in here.
00:38They're doing some great stuff with art and with communications and support for each other.
00:43I just think this is totally illustrating what Hartlepool's about, it's about supporting each other and helping each other.
00:50And it's important that you out the message to people that this place exists and what it offers.
00:54Absolutely right, they don't turn anyone away. If you feel you've got any kind of problems with the way you feel about yourself, your wellbeing, your mental health, come in, they can talk to you.
01:03If you need a little bit more than this, they can point you in the right direction.
