00:00More than 40 police officers in Albay have already joined the training.
00:04Who will serve as the back-up even though it's not yet morning for the teachers who will serve in the Hatol ng Bayan 2025?
00:12Gary Carilio of Radyo Pilipinas, Albay has news for the country.
00:18One by one, the Commission on Elections is targeting the Department of Science and Technology,
00:24in the use of automated counting machines for the Hatol ng Bayan 2025 in the province of Albay.
00:31They are the chosen back-up electoral board even though it's not yet morning for the teachers who will serve in the Hatol ng Bayan 2025 in May.
00:3842 PNP personnel are trained by 12 police officers from 3 provinces of Albay,
00:45while 30 people are from 15 municipalities of the province.
00:49We train the PNP personnel to be the back-up electoral board just in case we have polling places that are chaotic
00:59and our electoral board teachers cannot handle, they will be the ones to take over.
01:06The PNP Special Electoral Board passed a series of theoretical and practical examinations,
01:12from setting up, operating the ACMs, to transmitting the votes.
01:17And to become an official electoral board, they will be given a certificate from the Department of Science and Technology
01:23as proof that they have participated in the training.
01:26We listened well and participated in this training and I can say that we can still serve and have a peaceful election.
01:35It's a big thing on the part of the PNP to learn from what the Commission on Elections is doing.
01:43The PNP Special Electoral Board is expected to help speed up and facilitate the whole process of the 2025 midterm elections
01:53and will provide additional security to every voting precinct in the province of Albay.
