00:00Let's take a look at what happened during the opening of the 31st season of the National, Capital, and Regional Athletic Association or NCRAA in Conetta, Astrodome.

00:16The opening ceremony of the 31st season of the National, Capital, and Regional Athletic Association or NCRAA in Conetta, Astrodome in Pasay City was a shock for all young athletes.

00:32In the theme of Where Champions Are Born, the morale of each school was really high this year.

00:38They were able to show their talents to reach the top and become the champion this season.

00:45The opening number was prepared by some participating schools.

00:50Chorale, the opening of Miss NCRAA Season 31, the message from officials, and many more.

00:58One of the chiefs and general manager of NCRAA, Body Encarnado, also agreed on the importance of this kind of event for Philippine sports.

01:29The big leagues, the big collegiate leagues, they always go outside.

01:33They go to the U.S., they go somewhere, look for the best players, but at the end of the day, they will go home.

01:40But unlike if we try to look for the basketball look in cranny in the Philippines, we will be able to provide more new paces into Philippine sports, collegiate sports.

01:55Look at the way we provided to the GILES programs, the Ocampo Brothers of St. Francis of Pasay City.

02:03We also have Vic Manuel, Gary David, and now Clarito is with Rain or Shine.

02:09These are the kind of products that I want to graduate for NCRAA this season.

02:18And as part of the promotion of their adhikain, Encarnado also shares the changes in the format of their officiating that aims for a better and cleaner run of the competitions.

02:32We have adopted so many things. For example, the referee substitution, we will be adopting that as well.

02:41So right now we have four referees at any given time, based on the assessment of the technical committee, we can switch referees during game time.

02:56So these are things that we have to adopt, if only to be making sure that there is transparency in the officiating.

03:07This has always been the problem of some or all of the leagues. Nobody is satisfied. So we have to keep with that kind of expectation.

03:20Aside from basketball, some sports like volleyball, beach volleyball, swimming, badminton, and chess will also be flagged at NCRAA this year.

03:30All of these can be watched live on PTV Sports Network every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6pm to 10pm.
