00:51According to Malacanang, from 58 pesos, the maximum suggested retail price of rice was reduced to 45 pesos effective Monday.

01:04MSRP was implemented after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. approved the reduction of rice tariffs from 15% to 35% in July 2024.

01:17Because of the reduced price of rice, the inflation rate this February also decreased.

01:22Rice retailers also felt the impact of their business.

01:27Christopher used to be able to buy 80 catties of rice.

01:32Now, it's 100 catties.

01:34Before, it used to be around 150 catties.

01:44The government is not far from providing assistance.

01:4825 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program were given decent living conditions in Santa Ana, Cagayan.

01:57The Department of Social Welfare and Development was given P375,000 in assistance.
