The 1992 Christmas Special saw contestants Maggie McTaggart & Michael Keeble from North Tyneside and Pete McArdle & Debbie Morris from the West Midlands, plus Raymond & Gillian Grenfell from Wales and Alison & Scotty Harrison from County Durham compete in games to earn a change of winning prizes on that conveyor belt of glory. Among the games that Bruce Forsyth and Rosemary Ford help them compete in are Austrian Swinger (a spectacular dance that has to be seen), Cut It Out (origami reindeers), Box Clever (involving tricks with boxes) and Xmas drawer, which involves guessing the song from the contestants drawings. Then the final two pairs compete in a Peter Pan panto to earn the right to go for the conveyor belt finale. Among the star guests include the ever welcome Mollie Sugden, Bernie Clifton (complete with bird) and Jimmy Tarbuck, and while the stars are fewer than previous Xmas specials, it's still great family entertainment, and you also get to see Rosemary Ford in tights as Peter Pan. Indeed, there is an unexpected gaff involving Rosemary during the panto, which Brucie is oblivious to, which makes it all the funnier.
