00:00China's foreign minister says Beijing and Moscow must stand for international
00:04justice in the face of major changes unseen in a century. Wang Yi is visiting
00:09Moscow where he's held talks with President Vladimir Putin and Foreign
00:13Minister Sergei Lavrov. Wang said both countries have a responsibility to
00:17safeguard global peace and development. Our correspondent Alyosha Malenkovich
00:22is in Moscow. Alyosha, you were at the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Wang Yi.
00:27What's come out of it?
00:31Yes, Juliette, I came literally minutes ago from the meeting which was held in
00:37the Kremlin and this is a second or actually this was a second meeting
00:41between Wang Yi and Vladimir Putin in past six months. Previous one was in
00:45St. Petersburg last September and it was it was held as I said in Kremlin and we
00:52were attending just the beginning the opening remarks which were given both by
00:56President Vladimir Putin and later by Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Vladimir Putin
01:01started with sending his greetings to his friend President Xi Jinping and that
01:08he mentioned that two of them actually spoke twice this year already. Once it
01:14was a video conference and the second time was a telephone call. He stressed
01:20the 80th anniversary of ending of World War II and joint efforts which were
01:27given back then by both China and Russia and huge sacrifices and that these two
01:33countries as sacrificed so much in that period of time they shouldn't allow
01:41there anybody else moving away from the legacy and the memories of what happened
01:46in during the World War II. And of course they also mentioned and stressed
01:50the importance of collaboration between the two countries in various areas and
01:56that then Wang Yi mentioned that collaboration between Russia and China
02:00is not just a one-time deal. It is a long-term relationship and that both
02:06countries have an opening perspectives for the further developments of
02:11relations and that there are no limits of that kind of of that kind of
02:17collaboration between between them and of course after that the meeting was
02:22continued behind the closed doors in the Kremlin. So more than on that no limits
02:27friendship but Wang Yi also met his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. What
02:31can you tell us about that? Yes that meeting was held earlier in the morning
02:39in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and it was interesting that both
02:44ministers back then said or mentioned World War II. It is very important event
02:4980th anniversary for both countries and both countries are all actually
02:54dignitaries from both sides are actually quite frequently mentioning that that
02:59anniversary and also what both Sergei Lavrov and Wang Yi mentioned is
03:05collaboration in international organizations including the UN including
03:09G20, BRICS, SCO and many other international organizations where China
03:15and Russia coordinate their moves. They work together in bringing a more
03:20peaceful and of course the the world which can move forward without stress
03:26which is apparently unprecedented in this day and age and this is something
03:31that Wang Yi also mentioned during his interview in to the Russian state media
03:37before he arrived here in Moscow. Aljosha Milenkovic in Moscow thank you very much
