00:14 We also jointly signed and issued a joint statement on the development of a new era of comprehensive strategic cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation
00:25 on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
00:30 First of all, I would like to thank the Chairman of the People's Republic of China and all our Chinese colleagues for the warm welcome.
00:42 We were just exchanging views with the Chairman when we entered the room.
00:46 Indeed, our Chinese friends were able to create a friendly, warm atmosphere and at the same time a very pragmatic, rich business part.
00:59 Of course, the priority during our talks was the topic of trade and investment cooperation.
01:05 Given that China firmly holds the position of the leading foreign trade partner of Russia,
01:12 our country, as a result of last year, came in fourth in the export-import balance sheet of the People's Republic of China.
01:21 In 2023, the trade turnover increased by a quarter, setting a new record of $240 billion, according to Chinese statistics.
01:32 We are not far behind, but in general, this figure is absolutely correct.
01:39 The deepening of trade and investment ties has been significantly facilitated by the coordinated steps taken to transfer the accounts between our countries to national currencies.
01:51 The share of ruble and yuan in Russian-Chinese commercial transactions is already more than 90 percent, and this figure continues to grow.
02:01 This means that mutual trade and investment are reliably protected from the influence of third countries and negative trends in the world's currency markets.
02:13 Thank you.
