The Friedkin Group, which acquired a majority stake in Everton Football Club in December 2024, is actively expanding its sports portfolio.
TFG, led by American billionaire Dan Friedkin, also owns Italian football club AS Roma and has shown interest in acquiring additional sports franchises.

00:00It has been three months since the Freeking Group completed their takeover of Everton
00:08and the changes at the club have been promising.
00:13Led by billionaire Dan Freeking, the American firm has overseen significant developments
00:18at Goodison Park.
00:20One of the most notable changes has been the decision to part ways with manager Sean Deitch
00:27and rehire David Moyes.
00:30While some supporters were initially sceptical about Moyes' return, his nine-match unbeaten
00:35run in the Premier League has silenced most critics, steering the Toffees clear of relegation.
00:44In addition to Moyes' successful return, TFG have secured long-term financing for Everton's
00:50new stadium at Bramley Moor Dock, which is set to save the club millions each year.
00:58Another important move is the appointment of a new CEO, Angus Kinnear, who will be joining
01:04from Leeds United this summer.
01:07While TFG's success will ultimately be judged on the pitch, early signs suggest that the
01:13ownership group is steering the club in a positive direction.
01:20TFG's influence is not limited to Everton.
01:23They also own Italian side AS Roma and have expressed interest in other sporting ventures.
01:29Recently TFG was involved in a beating war for the Boston Celtics, but a consortium led
01:34by William Crisholm ultimately purchased the NBA team for $6.1 billion, setting a record
01:41for the most expensive sport team purchased.
01:46Despite this, TFG remains on the lookout for new opportunities.
01:50There are also reports suggesting that TFG could be involved in bringing an NHL team
01:55to Houston, Texas.
01:58While the NHA potentially expanding to 34 teams, TFG's deep pockets and Texas roots
02:04make them a strong candidate to bring hockey to the city, which could further solidify
02:10their growing sports empire.
